About the Game

In Dorfromantik you start with a stack of procedurally generated tiles. One after the other, you draw the top tile of the stack, place it on one available slot and rotate for the best fit. Thereby groups and combinations of landscapes are formed, such as forests, villages or water bodies, and you are rewarded with points depending on how well the tile fits.
On some tiles you will also encounter special objects that give you a quest: For example, the windmill wants to border 6 grain fields, the locomotive wants to be connected to 10 tracks or the deer wants to inhabit a forest with at least 50 trees. Fulfill these quests to get more tiles to continue the expansion of your landscape. The game ends when the tile stack is used up.
As you expand the landscape, you can advance into new, colorful biomes and discover pre-placed game objects that give you long-term tasks. Through these tasks you can unlock new tiles, new biomes and new quests.

Bugfixes:
Fixed an issue where clicking the Resume button while an empty map was loaded in the background caused the tile stack and UI to become invisible, preventing tile placement.
The Bug Reporting tool button is no longer visible on the Game Over screen.
Pressing Gamepad X to open the Bug Reporting tool no longer interferes with deleting a save game or continuing a completed Creative Mode game.
Fixed an issue where the score label on the Game Over screen overlapped with the game mode label when UI Scale was set to 150%.

With our latest patch, we’ve added a new in-game bug reporting tool and made several fixes to help leaderboards refresh faster and show your rank more reliably. Whether you have feedback to share or a high score to chase, Patch 1.2.2 brings a smoother experience to Dorfromantik.
New Bug Reporting Tool
We’ve added a new bug reporting tool directly to Dorfromantik. Just click the bug-shaped icon to open the form.
Since the latest patch, you can send us a message straight from the game and let us know whether you have encountered a serious issue or simply have some feedback for us. Once you submit the form, your report is sent directly to our development backend, where the team can review it more easily.

Of course, you can still use the Steam Feedback sub-forum and our feedback channel on Discord. But when you spot something while playing and do not want to leave the game to report it, you now have a convenient in-game tool for that. 🙌
Leaderboards
We have also made a few improvements to the in-game leaderboards. After their initial introduction, you discovered some reliability issues. Thank you again for your feedback on this. With the fixes in this update, leaderboard data should refresh faster and display your rank more consistently.
We hope you’re having a great (and hopefully bug-free) time!
