Use any in-game asset as a bullet! Change its speed, size, and rotation ability — charge your weapons with giant knives and swords to start a fantastic bloodbath.Enemy Customization
Create a giant you can climb up, dwarves, immortal zombies, or just change their fancy outfits.Spawner Tool
You can spawn any object from the Arenas, Lobby, and Sandbox levels. Unlimited grinders and Drills, dozens of props and enemies can be placed in seconds around you.

Pistols, Shotguns, SMGs, and Rifles
A vast collection of legendary firearms you can unlock during Early Access. Each gun has its unique sounds, damage, and fire modes.
Notice that these guns do not copy the exact design of real prototypes, but we tried to stick to reality as close as we could.
Bladed and Blunt handy weapons
Different weapons — from tactical karambit and shovel to ancient Chinese swords and spears — are here and waiting for you. Don't forget some old rusty pipes and pitchforks!
Also, you can use any game object to fight enemies! Be creative!
Two Gunplay modes: Arcade and Tactical
We've prepared two different gun modes so you can feel like a powerful action movie hero as well as a tactical modern fighter:
Tactical Mode brings everything you like in realistic shooters: hand reloads, cool mag-hits-mag tricks, slow-mo gun swaps, and all the stunts you'll come up with. Use both hands to hold the handguard weapons to reduce recoil, and be fast and sharp to get out alive.
Arcade Mode is the one we wanted to bring to VR. Your guns do autoreloads when you bring them closer to your waist, so both your hands can have one. Make crazy dual-wielding jumps, use two shotguns at a time, or show your gun-fu skills with dual-wielded pistols.

The Helipad arena introduces a massive rotating fan capable of chopping enemies into pieces.
And if that's not enough, we've also added a smaller portable version! Attach it to engines, create your own deadly contraptions, and let it fly around causing chaos.
Both machines have been added to the Hand Spawner, and some of them can also be found throughout various arenas.

Launch Fixes:
Fixing the T-Pose issue for Quest 2/3/3s players.
Gameplay & Systems Improvements
Hand Poses: Updated the default gun-holding angles to better align with your controller and real-life hand position. If you've previously adjusted your hand offsets, we recommend visiting Controls Settings and using Reset Offsets to try the new defaults and see if they provide a better fit.
Player Holsters: Made holstering weapons easier and more reliable.
Enemy Holsters: Improved ability to steal weapons directly from enemy holsters.
Calibration: Fixed player height calibration issues.
Enemy AI
Passive spawned enemies will now become aggressive if damaged.
This behavior can be disabled in the Hand Spawner settings, see "Attack on Damage".
Fixed enemies surviving after being deeply pierced.
Ride Mode
Arena doors are now always open — no need to press a button anymore. Just grab your weapons and leave the armory to begin or continue your Ride session.
Welding
Added option to hide green welding helper elements.
Returned spheres to welding lines, making it easier to recognize surfaces that can be welded.
Armory
Added option to turn on/off laser sights on some weapons.
Fixed Gonzo not unlocking new skins.
Added names for some skins.
Gex Cameras
Fixed Action Camera spawning and settings.
Fixed Live Preview Window not working.
LIV Cameras
Updated to LCK 1.4.6 with Streaming Support.

Destructible House — new preset in Deathbox! Built entirely from in-game objects, so you can also use it as a reference to explore the full potential of the system.

Hangar — A Huge Empty Sandbox! After adding so many big objects, we wanted a space to match — so we’re introducing a brand-new, massive sandbox map.
The Hangar is a large, enclosed environment designed for building big, destructible setups and experimenting with ragdolls on a much bigger scale.
Size: 50 × 40 × 20 meters (165 × 130 × 65 ft)
Fully enclosed space with artificial lighting

Hand Spawner Updates:
Added three new spawnable (and climbable!) objects that enemies will avoid while navigating: Doorway, Window, and Wall — perfect for building your own structures.
Added horizontal destructible wooden elements for creating floors and roofs.
Added 22 new spawnable objects from Arenas to the Hand Spawner.
Changed the layout a bit to reflect the most popular features.
Reworked Warehouse
One of our oldest arenas finally gets a fresh look — and more space for brutal fun.
Now includes an expanded exterior with loading zones, the main warehouse area, and a hidden torture room.

Locations Improvements & Fixes
Harbor, Atruim and Night Club: Greatly improved performance.
Workshop: Fixed issue where physical objects could disappear when moved between floors.
Basement: Removed invisible floors in stairwell pits.
City Roofs: Fixed area where enemies could be launched into the air.
Reworked lighting in all arena armories to improve weapon visibility.

Laser Sights
Introducing experimental laser sights for selected weapons. They are currently locked, but we plan to make them available as an optional attachment for all firearms in future updates.
At the moment, laser sights have been added to eight Picatinny-compatible guns.

Bug Fixes
Mags dropping issue has been fixed for players who were launching the game via SteamVR/Virtual Desktop. It was an annoying issue for sure, sorry for the trouble!
Some PSVR2 issues have been fixed.
AI: Enemies now spot and react to the player faster.
AI: Fixed cases where enemies could go away from the player after getting up.
AI: Enemies should not rotate in place if they've lost the player while they're getting up.
Sandbox: Remover now deletes destructible objects.
Sandbox: Increased Remover range.
Sandbox: Fixed spawn points for large objects like walls.
Slow Motion: Fixed issue when Jump Extreme Slow motion could switch off regular Slow Motion on landing (now it should put time back to regular slow motion time).
Violence: Bone-breaking can now be turned off in Settings.
Guns: Fixed the break-action issue where grabbing in the open state could launch the player into the air.
Guns: Fixed Striker reload issues in Tactical mode.
Guns: Fixed Rhino revolver trigger issue.
Melee: Fixed cases where melee weapons (e.g., Karambit, Fire Axe) could get stuck in enemies.
Melee: Fixed weapons with cleaving parts (e.g., shovel) not properly cutting enemies.
VFX: Reworked the system to produce more particles and better surface reactions.
Gun Skins: Fixed some skins, like Easter MP5 could be invisible after being unlocked.

Hey everyone,
Thank you so much for your patience with the issues raised since our last update, we just pushed a small update to fix those issues.
📜Patch Notes
Valve Index, Vive Family and other SteamVR devices: Critical control issues raised by the last patch have been fixed.
Meta Quest 3 and Older Oculus: Using SteamLink or Virtual Desktop automatically changes your OpenXR Runtime, meaning no manual work is needed for compatibility issues.
PSVR2: Temporal Bugfix in Steam Betas.
Everyone: Launching the game simply from the icon inside your VR headset is still the best way to go. For Meta, the launch might take up to 1 minute. Sure, the manual Steam Play button also works.
Friendly reminder to Meta Quest headset owners, please make sure that your default OpenXR is set to Meta Horizon Link in the Meta Horizon app, as seen below. If you are using SteamLink or Virtual Desktop, the correct Runtime will set up automatically based on your launched software.

Egg Hunt Event

BONE BREAKING IS HERE!
Introducing the long-awaited and highly requested bone-breaking system — including arms, legs, and neck!
You can break elbows, kneecaps, and snap enemy necks using your hands or gunshots.

Breaking an arm will cause the enemy to drop their weapon, but they will continue attacking with the other hand or legs.

Breaking one leg will make the enemy limp on the injured side.
Breaking both legs will bring the enemy down — they’ll collapse and eventually die over time.

New Muzzle Flashes
We’re updating all in-game muzzle flashes, starting with revolvers.
This update introduces improved visuals making firefights feel more dynamic and immersive. We’ll continue expanding this system in upcoming updates, adding new realistic effects for shotguns, SMGs and other firearms.

Roadmap Updated
We’ve made some adjustments to our plans for the rest of the spring. Our main focus will be polishing core gameplay — especially enemy AI across different situations, as well as overall player controls, UI, and general improvements.
We’ll continue with regular content updates, including new and updated weapon models and additional locations. We’re also planning to introduce more deadly sandbox tools alongside the release of a new rooftop-style arena in May.

We are updating the main branch.
Hey everyone, today we finally have the news you were looking forward to.
Today, we are happy to announce that we are updating the main branch of the game to the recent version of HARD BULLET. This means you are no longer required to participate in the Public Beta to play the latest version.
We have noticed that most of our players (naturally) prefer to play on the default branch, instead of our Public Beta, where we believe we've fixed most of the crucial bugs. This was also something we knew and expected, but we wanted to wait until our latest version is stable enough to push to the main branch - and today is the day!
⚠️If you were having a bunch of annoying bugs, issues with the game or its features, we highly recommend hopping in Hard Bullet again and giving it a try!

Brand New Mode: City Mode & AI Improvements
City Mode is our early vision of the Campaign for Hard Bullet, it's still in work in progress, and we aim to expand it in our future updates.
But you can already hop in and see the fundamentals, new missions, and where we're headed!

City Mode also includes new behaviours and animations for NPCs. This was a long-time-requested update by our community, so we reworked and built almost everything from scratch for NPCs.
We’ve fully reworked all in-game enemy animations and moved them to a new state machine, allowing us to add many more behaviors and animations in future updates.

Of course, this is not the final version for NPCs, as we keep adding new features for them! In our latest update on Public Beta, we also gave them some cool death, getting shot, and crouching state animations.

To enhance your gameplay feelings, we have added some new VFXs on impact, new destructible environments, and objects! We also improved the overall VFX quality, added LOD settings, improved explosion effects for a more dynamic look, and more!
This is also a work in progress, so expect to see more in future updates. 👀

End of Open Beta
Maintaining the Open Beta and bringing all parts of such a complex game together into the new Hard Bullet “engine” has been a massive and challenging task.
We are deeply grateful for your understanding, patience, and passion throughout this process.
The version that was the default one in 2025 is still available among the older builds. It is labeled “Summer 2025”, although it also includes security updates released in October:

Bone Breaking Coming Soon!
Last but not least, we recently teased bone breaking feature coming soon to Hard Bullet! We know that this is one of the most requested features for Hard Bullet - so we are taking our time to make this feature please you and your dark fantasies.
