About the Game
Standable Full Body Estimation is a method of estimating points of your body that are not currently tracked by 3-point tracking solutions or other FBT tracking devices. Using the continuous positional data from any VR headset / HMD, Standable FBE can emulate the general movement of an 11-point tracking solution.
Key Features
Quick Calibration: Spend less time setting up and more time immersed in VR.
Advanced Tracking: Estimates 8 additional points to mimic a full 11-point tracking system.
Natural Leg Movement: Seamlessly integrates with 3-point tracking (or more with mixed tracking!) for fluid body motion.
Versatile Poses: Lay down in any direction (stomach, back, sides) and transition smoothly between standing and laying positions.
Enhanced Elbow Estimation: Improved elbow angles for natural arm movements.
SteamVR Compatibility: Works with any SteamVR app supporting full body tracking.
Slick User Interface
Personalize your Standable experience with a fresh and intuitive UI.
Pose Adjustment Sliders: Fine-tune your sit/lay poses.
Hip Movement Control: Adjustable hip sway and counterbalance.
Dynamic Tracker Management: Enable/disable trackers on the fly.
Advanced Estimation Options
Seat Estimation: Automatically blend into a seated pose on various surfaces.
Advanced Chest Estimation: Dynamic chest movement based on hand proximity.
Mixed Tracking
Combine Standable with real FBT devices for the best of both worlds.
Fill in the Gaps: Use Standable to fill in tracking gaps where hardware trackers are absent.
Fallback Triggers: Smoothly transition between FBT and Standable when trackers get occluded or run out of battery.
Tracker Data Smoothing: Basic interpolation for smooth tracking (more advanced methods coming soon).
Quick Consistent Calibration
Alignment Options: Align Standable skeleton to your avatar for consistent calibration.
Pencil Pose: Quick calibration for mixed tracking setups.
Smart Offsets: Ensure consistent mixed tracking calibration.

Steam Patch Notes
Official update history
Minor Laying Estimation change
- Torso laying rotation now prioritizes head rotation over hand rotation in specific cases (helps torso not get stuck laying on side when hands are to one side)
Bug Fixes
- Fixed issue where Mixed Tracking offset calibration wouldn't properly ignore calibrating offsets for lost tracking or disabled devices.
- Fixed Auto Calibration still triggering when Standable was disabled through the UI.
Developer & Debugging changes
- Added proper driver build versioning.
- Added proper exe build versioning.
- Build changes for much more advanced crash debugging.
These may seem simple on the surface, but will allow me to debug crashes much much easier with MUCH less guess work.
Standable v3.0.2 Bug Fix Patch is now live! Hopefully to help the issues that arose from v3.0.1.
v3.0.2 Patch Notes
Added "Sync Standable Floor to SteamVR"
SteamVR floor now updates to match Standable's floor, ensuring the floors are always aligned. For now it requires the StandableUI to be open, but this won't be a requirement in the future. This feature can be disabled in the "Calibration" section.
Fixed Bed Mode "Set Bed at Controller" not working as intended.
Fixed issue where randomly all Standable trackers would get stuck in a ball in the corner of your playspace. This bug is not 100% exterminated, but no where near as common now.
Reverted many UI framework changes that caused constant UI crashes. Will be revisiting framework changes in the future.
The Standable v3.0.1 Patch is now available!
There are some big changes on how floor and height works in this patch. While it may be a little confusing if you're familiar with the old Floor Offset system, it is much simpler for new users and requires less manual calibration on the user's end.
(Please read through the new changes (especially the new height/floor system) before asking for help in the discord.)
With the holidays around the corner I'll be taking a breather from development, but once I am back I'll be swing'n, ready to make v3.1 the best I can!
Wish you all the best during the holidays <3
v3.0.1 Patch Notes
Floor & Height MAJOR changes
The Floor Offset system has been replaced with less complex Height system, available on the font page of the UI. After you set your IRL height, tpose to automatically adjust the floor height.
If your avatar's feet are below the ground, either adjust your headset/steamVR floor or set your height shorter both in-game and in Standable.
- Removed user-facing "Floor Offset" (will be updating the UI to fill the empty space in next beta)
- Removed "Pull VRChat Height during Auto Calibration". Now replaced with new height system.
- Removed "Continuous Floor Calibration" setting. Will be recalibrated and reconsidered for v3.1.
- Changed wording in Floor & Bed UI from "FLOOR" to "STANDING"
User Interface Changes & Fixes
- Fixed: Background Hue Shift now allows for full color range. Was 0-180, now 0-360
- Fixed long device serials causing certain Device Manager menu items inaccessible.
- Fixed an issue where the SteamVR overlay wasn’t fully clearing between frames, which could cause leftover pixels or strange edges.
- Fixed issue where Standable Overlay would fail to be made if SteamVR was launched after the Standable UI.
- Standable UI now runs at 3fps while not focused or hovered. Should help with UI performance.
- UI now also considers "vrcompositor.exe" being open counting as SteamVR, not just "vrserver.exe".
General Changes & Fixes
- Readded "Advanced Chest" toggle from Standable v2.1
- Fixed: "Push to Realign" toggle not actually affecting the feature. Now properly toggles off.
- Standable now waits for VRChat to close first before setting VRChat recommended settings to hopefully avoid triggering EAC.
- Added "Tracker Init Delay" setting to delay Standable trackers from showing up for a specified amount of time after launch (in seconds). You can't access the setting through the UI yet, so you'll have to edit your settings.json file to edit the setting. This will be changed when I add an "advanced settings" section in the UI later.
- Moved default torso length shorter due to user's feeling the default was too long.
Mixed Tracking Changes & Fixes
- Fixed controllers connecting as unbound when Device Manager was open during first connection.
- Fixed new device detection not working in certain situations.
- Readded old standable device bindings to hopefully fix new issues with SteamVR missing bindings.
- Fixed: Force Estimation not working on Chest
- "Lock Offsets with Device Lock" setting is now disabled by default
- Fixed: When leaning over with a hip tracker, standable's legs would fly up behind you. Now works as expected.
- When standable is disabled (by turning off all proxy trackers in the main UI page) it will now stop hiding bound devices connected.
Welcome to Standable v3.0!
This update is the biggest rewrite Standable has ever received, bringing many long awaited features, and building the foundation for even larger updates in the future!
I’ve posted the full patch notes on the official Standable website (link below). Feel free to react, comment, and read at your own pace, but I'd love to hear what you guys think!
v3.0 Major Features:
- Brand new Standable UI
- Auto Avatar Calibration
- Custom Poses!
- Device Manager
- Localization for 8+ languages!
- Many improvements & groundwork forv3.1
You can read the full release notes here (with pictures!)

v2.1.1 has only a few bug fixes and updates, but very important nonetheless!
Patch Notes below:
One Handed/Controller Calibration
If a controller dies or you are unable to use two controllers for whatever reasons Standable calibration will still work as intended with only one controller connected (t-pose, alignment options, etc).
Note: Two controllers must be connected at the beginning of each session, but after initial connection you are free to turn one of the controllers off.
Anti Virus Fixes
There have been multiple reports of Standable triggering Anti-Virus programs (specifically McAfee). These triggers have been mitigated and Standable now no longer falsely triggers Anti-Virus Programs (or at least not the most popular ones. There will be edge cases where it still could).
Other
- Fixed: Standable no longer spams the Steam Console when an HMD is not detected.
Standable v2.1.0 is an update for the newbies as much as the power users. New UI, descriptive tooltips, rebuilt Floor & Bed systems, multiple new Estimation features, and even custom Body Proportions!
Releasing in parallel with v2.1 is the official Standable Docs website! Standable Docs is where you can learn everything you need for installing, using, and optimizing Standable for your use cases!
Alright, enough dilly dallying! Go see what's all in Standable v2.1!
v2.1.0 PATCH NOTES (standablevr.com)
UI:
- QuickStart Guide link in UI now flashes yellow for first time users.
Calibrate Floor Button:
- New Button in advanced settings for quick floor setting without need to stand up.
Virtual Desktop Jitter (temporary) Workaround:
There is an issue that arises sometimes when using Virtual Desktop where Standable's DeltaTime is somehow messed up. This can slightly or severely affect Standable's tracker velocity math (depending on unknown variables).
To temporarily mitigate the issues while I search for the root cause, I've added a new section `Virtual Desktop` in advanced settings with two new settings:
Auto Detect VD Issues:
- This attempts to detect the incorrect deltatimes and auto disables the tracker velocity math.
Disable Velocity Math:
- This will manually disable the velocity math (use if auto detect doesn't help). "Auto Detect VD Issues" must be disabled for this to make any difference.
Again, this is a workaround and a full fix is being looked into.
Other:
- Removed DT Override setting
That's all for now! Let me know how things go!
