About the Game
We hit the beach in 30 seconds. Stay alert. Stay alive.
Easy Red II is a tactical, realistic, historically authentic World War II shooter focused on large-scale, immersive battles that put you right on the front lines of the chaos.
Command your squad, coordinate combined-arms assaults, and fight across sprawling battlefields modeled after real historical locations of war. Playable completely solo against AI, or take the fight to other players.
A Global War
Fight all across the globe. In the base game, Easy Red II features 6 extensive campaigns:
Anzio, Italy: a brutal bloody stalemate between Axis and Allied forces lasting for months in the central Italian plains in 1944.
Monte Cassino, Italy: a rugged mountainous campaign where Allied forces waged many attacks on the Gustav Line.
Tunisia: the final stand of German forces in North Africa in 1943.
Operation Flintlock: taking place on the Marshall Islands of Kwajalein and Roi-Namur: a joint operation by U.S. Army Pacific and Marine forces respectively to take captured Japanese Empire-held islands in early 1944.
The Battle of Makin: a battle coinciding with the iconic battle of Tarawa in which U.S. Army Pacific forces invaded the Makin Atoll, furthering their Island-hopping efforts in late 1943.
The Invasion of Kos: the Greek island occupied by Italians and invaded by German forces in 1943.
Across all of these campaigns, there are over 75 unique missions.
Easy Red II also features affordable DLC expansion packs, ranging from the Eastern Front in Stalingrad, the Western Front in Normandy and even across to the war-torn streets of Shanghai, China. These DLC campaigns add time-accurate vehicles, factions, and weapons—as well as over 80 additional missions combined.
Consistently Updated
Easy Red II is forever evolving. Whether it be AI overhauls, animation updates, free vehicle, weapon, or uniform additions, the game is sure to be constantly improving as time goes on.
Immerse Into War
In Easy Red II, we put you right in the shoes of the average soldier on the battlefield, fighting in recreated historical locations from the Second World War with historically authentic troop movements and orders of battle.
You aren't a special super soldier—you must traverse your way through roars of gunfire and shell-shocking explosions as you progress through the battlefield. Your survival is not guaranteed.
Squad-Focused Gameplay
No man is sent in alone. In Easy Red II, you can control squads of soldiers with various roles: Squad Leader, Radioman, Medic, Support Gunner, and more—all with unique abilities allowing you to change the tide of any battle.
Mechanized Warfare
Operate iconic tanks from World War II, featuring detailed armor penetration, ballistics, and crew mechanics. If you lose a crew member, you may lose a function of your vehicle as well.
Some iconic vehicles range from the M4 Sherman, Willys Jeep, Churchill, Panther and Tiger tanks on the ground to aerial vehicles such as the Spitfire, P-51 Mustang, P-40 Warhawk, P-38 Lightning, F4F Wildcat and Bf 109 in the air, with many more.
Dynamic Environments
The battlefield is not static. Forests are leveled, defenses torn apart, and buildings are reduced to rubble over the course of a battle.
Multiplayer
Play online in both PvP and Co-op with friends.
Take on missions from the base game, the Steam Workshop, or from a custom mission you created yourself.
Join a friend's squad or play with your own.
Create a match whenever you want, wherever you want, on any map you want.
Mod Support
Create and share your own scenarios, maps, and other custom content through the easily accessible integrated map and mission editor.
Create mods with the dedicated Modding SDK.
Share your creation on the Steam Workshop and play them in Singleplayer or Multiplayer.

Reworked DogTags statistics menu
Improved skybox, fog, and lighting effects

Improved water bodies sound system so the water sound changes depending on the distance from the water and the size of the water body. The system also now doesn't play water sound anymore when there is not an exposed water body nearby even when the terrain level is very low.
Improved parallax effect, which might now start getting used on props too now and not just terrain. The first kind of props that will start having this feature for testing are rubble props
AI Additions:
AI now reacts to fog, which now limits their visibility proportionally to the fog amount, and in case of extreme fog makes them shoot less often, similarly to night with dark settings.
When a single AI soldier is left alive on a vehicle, he can now swap between driver and main gun in order to keep fighting without the need of a dedicated gunner
Mission & Map Editor Additions:
Water reworked: the new water configuration is not compatible with the previous one, so all map water data on custom maps must be adjusted to accommodate the new system
Added a new toggle setting on Mission Editor spawns to set a spawn as "persistent", allowing it it be present in every mission phase (except phases previous to the one in which it was placed).
New system for loading props in vanilla buildings (can be extended to the modding system later on). This allows for furniture in buildings, and the density can be lowered and raised with graphics settings.
Changed configurations in maps to control new water. The new configuration is not compatible with previous one so map water data will need to be adjusted over the new water system.
New system to sort spawn list in mission editor
New cemetery prop assets
Reworked wooden fences + new texture variants
Reworked trenches, fox holes and craters + new variants: full dirt trenches, log trenches, and light versions of trenches for sandy environments

France Campaign Rework
While working on the upcoming Hungary campaign, we were adding the Renault R-35 and its Romanian variant for the DLC and figured the France campaign itself could use some love.
Don't confuse this with being remade such as with Kwajalein, Anzio, and Cassino, but rather a traditional re-work: Some new stuff added here and there, missions rebalanced, in general it should be much better.
Summary of Changes and Fixes:
Map lightly touched up on (new roads, some new detail, refined detail)
All missions balanced more appropriately: Some with phases added, some with phase defenses reworked
France given Pak-36 on defense as a stand-in AT emplacement
Renault R-35 tank added to multiple missions
More armor in general added to multiple missions, on both Allied and Axis sides.
ZB-26 added to German 1940 AT squads
German 1940 AT squads reworked composition
German 1940 "Pioneer" squad created and added to multiple missions
France AT squad given more responses to armor
France standard infantry squad given a sapper
France Chasseur squads now have 2 support gunners
France Reservist squads added (Seen on Sedan Blitz)
French squads are now called "Combat Groups" (the French military equivalent of "squad" during WW2).
