About the Game
TerraTech Worlds is an open-world, build-craft exploration adventure game, set on an uncharted alien world. Playing solo or with friends, you’ll explore your surroundings, craft unique vehicles, construct automated bases, and battle your way through natural hazards and challenging enemies to harness the power of your environment.
CRAFT & AUTOMATE

Expand your base with complex, automated production lines to refine minerals, scrap spare parts and keep you stocked with ammunition. Design intricate conduit networks to manage production, and scale up your power infrastructure to keep pace as the factory grows.
CREATE & CUSTOMISE

Create different Techs to meet different needs. From mining to combat, you can build the perfect vehicle for the mission! Visually customise your Techs and bases until everything is just to your liking, then optimise your Tech by taking advantage of powerful stat modifiers.
MINE & TERRAFORM

Expand and consolidate your planetary infrastructure by extracting exotic resources from the world around you. Resculpt the landscape to suit your needs with free-form terraforming tools - from flattening out a racetrack to creating peaks and valleys for base defence!
EXPLORE & DISCOVER

Explore a 300km² planet with no loading, no streaming and no limits, populated by rich and diverse environment biomes, with a day/night cycle, dynamic weather, dangerous plant life, hostile enemy factions and bases, and more. Venture deep into strange Woodlands, traverse the acidic Swamps, dodge lightning storms and enter the snowy Arctic.
COMBAT & DEFENSE

Encounter and overcome a diverse range of enemy Techs as you expand your territory, scavenging and researching new blocks to upgrade your combat capability. Face down dangerous opponents, experiment with ever-more powerful and specialised combat builds, and team up with your fellow Prospectors to raid enemy bases and push back the frontier.

Official update history
Hi there prospectors,
The setting for Options > Graphics > Max FPS defaults to "Uncapped." It's been reported that an uncapped framerate in games can cause GPUs to overheat. We've now changed the default value for Max FPS to 60. Any existing game profiles with Max FPS set to "Uncapped" will be adjusted to 60. You can choose to set it back to "Uncapped", but we strongly recommend setting a capped value.
Thanks as always for the invaluable feedback and bug reporting and we hope you enjoy playing this update.

Hi there prospectors,
Welcome to another unstable update that has one major addition and a handful of significant game balancing changes and quality of life improvements. There have been several mentions that the game is called TerraTech Worlds, but Nibiru is the only world present in the game so far. Please welcome planet number 2, Phaeton, which is now available to play once the tutorial has been completed on Nibiru. We've also introduced fast travel so you can teleport between discovered traders and Bastion S.E.E.D.s.
Thanks as always for the invaluable feedback and bug reporting and we hope you enjoy playing this update.

A new planet, Phaeton
When the tutorial on Nibiru has been completed, it unlocks a second planet, Phaeton, which can then be selected when starting a new game, as there is no initial onboarding on Phaeton.
Phaeton has different topology compared to Nibiru, with greater land mass and less sea.
The game progression on Phaeton is more freeform, compared to Nibiru.
Game balancing changes
The recipe for a Tech Yard has been reduced to Iron x10 + Organics x10.
All Tech Yard modules, the Basic Fabricator, the Block Crafter and the Carbon Power Generator have had their recipe costs reduced by half.
Scavengeable Tech Yards and Tech Yard modules have been added to enemy bases.
The Tractor Beam is now available to buy in the Swamp, Polar and Desert traders.
The flight height limit has been increased from 300m to 500m.
Quality of life improvements
Game objectives are now grouped by biomes in the Prospector Portal.
Once you have discovered the Forest Trader, you can then teleport between any discovered Traders and Bastion S.E.E.D.s.
Blockpedia links have been added from within Blockpedia pages.
e.g. for a structure block or a resource, if there's a crafting structure and resource ingredients in its info panel, you can mouse over them and press L to jump to their entry in the Blockpedia.
In the Blockpedia, resources are now considered discovered when they're a recipe input for a discovered structure.
When loading Tech snapshots, the panel now uses a scrolling page instead of the older pagination.
Bug fixes
The following bugs should now be fixed in this update:
Mining Fluorine only produces debris.
Fluorine is now produced when mining with tier 4 and above resource lasers.

Hi there prospectors,
We've fixed a widely reported issue caused when the player buys the Wide Gauge Resource Laser before being told to do so, causing the objective to not be completable. We had a fix for this queued up as part of our next planned unstable update, but felt this fix was important enough to be worthy of a hotfix update, so here it is.
Thanks as always for the invaluable feedback and bug reporting and we hope you enjoy playing this update.
Bug fixes
When buying a Wide Gauge Resource Laser ahead of the objective to buy it has been set, the game now recognises that the player has it and the objective completes and moves onto the next one.

Gum Stabiliser Wheel no longer jitters around when taking the weight of the plane or when the plane is flying.

Portuguese language support has been added.
The current in-game translations are work-in-progress.
Bug fixes

Insufficient weapon audio no longer plays and hint showing you aren't damaging the seam doesn't display any more.
Too many lightning trees in the lightning forest.
Lightning trees are more sparsely distributed now.
Camera height changes too slowly when coming out of base interaction screens.
The camera returns to the Tech now, then stays the same after exiting an interactable structure.
The seams tutorial objective doesn't progress correctly in multiplayer when multiple players play through the tutorial together.

Hi there prospectors,
Welcome to another unstable update with a significant overhaul to improve the flight model and boats. We've made quite a lot of changes here that we're pretty confident will offer a much better experience when building and flying planes or sailing boats. Your existing plane and boat Techs may be markedly improved or possibly worse because of the changes that have been made and may need refining.
We've added some example planes, boats and amphibious planes to Creative Mode for you to try out. There are also some new blocks in this update to allow greater flexibility when placing the position of your plane wings for example to finesse your Tech builds.
Thanks as always for the invaluable feedback and bug reporting and we hope you enjoy playing this update.

Flight improvements
The flight controls have been improved to provide better controls for flying aircraft Techs; allowing the plane to pitch, roll and yaw in a more intuitive manner.
When flying, the camera moves to frame the Tech centrally.
Added yaw controls on mouse and keyboard (Q/E).
Disabled the auto-trim, which was forcing planes to fly level regardless of controls.
Disabled mid-air steering for winged Techs.
Gliding with no propulsion has also been improved.
A flight blocks filter button has been added to the Tech block inventory to show all flight blocks.
Some example planes can be found in Creative Mode; behind the starting position is a take-off and landing strip with 4 different sized planes to switch to and try out.
Boat improvements
Boat travel has been improved to allow greater control of building and steering boats on water.
Introduced a greater difference in the power of different propeller blocks.
Rudders provide a greater ability to steer.
Buoyancy values for blocks have been refined.
A boat blocks filter button has been added to the Tech block inventory to show all boat blocks.
Some example boats and amphibious planes can be found in Creative Mode if you continue past the take-off and landing strip to a jetty by the sea.

The HALO Relocator has been separated out from the Tech block group of Speedometer, Altimeter and Anemometer.
A tooltip has been added to the bottom ribbon for toggling the display of the physics visualiser when in build mode.
The objectives screen now has a scrollable panel instead of the older style pagination.
An option has been added to the game options to "Only Show Hints Once."
Bug fixes
The following bugs should now be fixed in this update:
When picking up a stack of blocks from your Tech Yard Storage, returning them via Right Mouse Button duplicates the amount that get returned.
If you attach the Journeyman cab before progressing to the objective, then you must redo the objective to progress.
The game now retroactively recognises the completion of this objective.
