About the Game
While a lot of air traffic control is done for airplanes in the sky it is also important that airplanes move safely on the ground. Do you have what it takes to move airplanes safely and also have them arrive on time at the stand or runway?
ATC Ground Point V2.0 now live
This game had a bit of a rough launch and has been in a sort of early access stage. However, with regular updates the number of airports has gone from 5 to 10 and pilot voices has been added. There has also been various other improvements such as faster path finding. ATC Ground Point V2.0 was officially released on 17th of April.
Airports Around the World
Try controlling the ground movement of 10 different airports around the world. The layout of each airport challenging in it's own way. Full airport list:
CYVR Vancouver
EFHK Helsinki
EGLC London City
KRSW Fort Myers
KSEA Seattle
LIRF Rome
RJBB Osaka
RKSI Seoul
YMML Melbourne
ZSSS Shanghai
And more airports in the workshop
The community has created many different airports. See if you can find your favorite airport. If not try out the airport builder to create it. The airport builder is currently in beta.
Point and click
The game has a simple point and click system to make it easy to get started. If things feel a bit too easy or too hard the arrival rate can be change both before and while controlling. In addition to the endless mode, there are aircraft movement and time-based game modes as well.
Customize the radar and more
The game allows for customization in multiple ways. From the icons of the airplanes to the time between pilot messages.
Give and take from the tower controller
Remember to handoff airplanes to tower when they get close to their assigned departure runway or are about to cross an active runway.
Changing situation
Turn on the automatic change of arrival rate to have a variation of hectic and calm times during the session.
Handle issues and towing
Sometimes things do not go according to plan. Make sure to handle airplanes that need extra time or has to return to the gate. Also, make sure to give clearances to push tugs that are towing airplanes from one stand to another.
Set highscores
The scoring system is based on the difference between the actual time of arrival to a stand or runway and the slot time of the aircraft. Try to be as close to the slot time as possible but do not be late. And if a collision occurs your session is ended.
Good luck!

Thanks for playing!

2025 is almost over so this is the last update for 2025. Thanks for the support during this year. Everything from buying and playing the game to creating airports for the workshop or telling friends about the game. I also appreciate the feedback and suggestions and kind words about the game. Thanks!
In this update (public beta):
- Fixes to runway. Some issues did not get fixed with previous update. These fixes should solve the remaining issues.
- Fixed issue with aircraft not going to ground frequency if there is a crossing of an inactive runway on its path.
- Improved input field for starttime.
- Fixed max value for the input field for number of airplanes on ground at start.
- Fixed freeze when start/stopping voice input.
- Fixed bug where another pilot would ask for something in between controller giving taxi instructions and the receiving aircraft responding.
- Changed from text to icons of the voice or text toggle button.
- Fixed bug with input being activated when pressing enter/return key to proceed in the set default points function.
- Added audio for requested callsigns.
This update to the public beta version contains many different fixes from UI to airplane movement.
- Reduced preparation time needed when changing holding points.
- Added option to have no preparation time needed.
- Removed penalty for removing aircraft. Aircraft removal is probably mostly used when an aircraft is stuck due to a bug and therefore a penalty is unfair.
- Fixed to readback of expected runway when changing holding point. (Note: By design there is no readback if changes are made when aircraft is not on ground frequency.)
- Fixed bug that caused select circle to disappear when setting follow or give way command.
- Fixed issues with in-game time crossing midnight.
- Fixed issue with aircrafts getting stuck due to other aircraft. This issue only occurs in specific situations and therefore difficult to troubleshoot. Feel free to report if the issue still exists.
- Fixed multiple issues with runways. Same with this that issues only occurs in specific situations so feel free to report remaining issues.
- Fixed popup tip for settings. Hover over the question mark (?) to see additional information about the specific setting.
- Fixed auto spawn rate changes.
- Added taxiway D to YMML Melbourne.
Thanks for playing!
The latest version seems stable and therefore the default version of the game has been updated to the latest version.
ATC Ground Point has a lot of customization which leads to a lot of settings. Work has been done to create a unified settings format to improve the readability in the code but also improve the UI. For example, all settings are now available both in the main menu and during sessions. However, the UI layout needs some work after the settings changes. (This update is for the public beta)
The following things have also been worked on for this update:
Game
- Fixed issue with holding point being selected on the wrong side of the runway when changing runway and/or holding point via text/voice.
- Improved options for stop point for pushback via text/voice.
- Changes to give way and follow logic.
- Fixed bug that allowed following aircraft to enter same stand as the aircraft it was following.
- New tag option, Airport Other, which shows the other airport involved in the flight. Arrival airport for departures and departure airport for arrivals.
- Fixed zoom via keyboard.
Builder
- Aircraft model type codes can now be 2, 3 or 4 characters long.
Thanks for playing!
Voice recognition is a feature that would take ATC Ground Point to a new level. But developing the software for speech recognition on my own is not possible and using online services would lead to subscription costs. However, I was able to add an asset to the game to handle speech recognition offline and I created a completely new text-based system to send instructions to the airplanes. It has been working well for me, and it is now live on the public beta to gather feedback on how it works for other people.
Hopefully it works well for the majority of you and if not, I hope you can enjoy the new text-based system or the point-and-click system which is still possible to use.
This update also adds new instructions to follow and give way to other aircraft as well as hold short of taxiway.
A guide for the game and builder is now available. It can be accessed via the main menu in the game or the layout page in the builder. Here you can find for example the commands for voice mode or information about how to create runways.
Game
- Fixed so the word “point” is displayed in letters when not part of frequency.
- Changes to tutorial to handle variations in pushback request timing and introducing depart early instruction.
- Fixed so stand allocation is random (still following stand tags set in builder but if more than one stand is possible it is now random which one is chosen).
- Changes to multiple airport layouts to work better with text/voice paths.
- Fixed bug with aircraft not moving after stopping due to other aircraft.
- Added requested callsigns.
- Added icons for Douglas DC-3 and Concorde.
Builder
- Change text on runway cross waypoint from RCR to RCP.
- Merged runway point type with waypoint type.
- Changed the line type None to Hidden. Airport with “None” lines should still work.
Thanks for playing!
Just some information about development progress. Currently there is a focus on some features that takes a bit longer to code which is why there has not been an update in a while. An update for the public beta is planned for the end of next week.
Fixed issues with the 30 and 60 minute gamemodes.
Added requested callsigns.
This update to the public beta focuses on customization of readbacks but also contains some bug fixes. I am aware that there are requested callsign waiting to be added. They did unfortunately not make it into to this update but the next update will include those.
Game
- Moved gamemode selection to the session settings window.
- Fixed bug that allowed towing from stands that should not allow the aircraft to move between flights.
- Added full frequency readback option in Pilots tab in Settings.
- Added decimal or point option for readback in Pilots tab in Settings.
- Added option for only numbers in callsign after airline code in Pilots tab in Settings.
- Fixed towing speed issues.
Builder
- Fixed issues with duplicating waypoints.
- Removed the runway layout window on the info screen (no longer used).
Thanks for playing!
