We just pushed Hotfix 1.05 live.
Fixes include (Please Note: Reporting some of these fixes may reveal elements that occur later in the story):
- Fuel rods now properly restore their state when loading from a save which avoids a progression blocker.
- Removed an exploit that allowed the player to be invulnerable to Xeno attacks in a corner of the Mess Hall.
- The objective map marker for the first junction power box goes away once it is solved.
- Return to ship objective map markers appear in the correct place.
- Romulus and Camo skins for the rifle appear correctly.
- Tuning of Valve Index controller grab thresholds for a more comfortable experience that requires less effort to grab and less chance of an unintended release of an item.
- Instanced Stereo Rendering enabled on PC - this gives about a 10% of performance to the game when it is CPU bound.
- Dynamic resolution is set to On when resetting graphics settings.
- Dynamic resolution has an option for 80 fps as target frame rate.
In addition, in order to mitigate confusion and technical issues, we have updated the compatibility warning popup in the game on launch:
- If the user is using Virtual Desktop with SteamVR run time, the game now prompts the user to quit the game and set VDXR as the OpenXR Runtime in your Virtual Desktop Streamer option.
- If no headset is detected, the user is prompted to quit the game and set OpenXR Runtime is set in the SteamVR Settings or the Meta Quest Link Settings.
As a reminder, if you are using Oculus Rift or Meta Quest, the officially supported means of connection are:
- Meta Quest Link App, set set as the default OpenXR run time.
- Virtual Desktop, with VDXR set as the OpenXR run time.
Using another means of connection for Oculus Rift or Meta Quest, such as using SteamVR as the OpenXR run time, will result in bad performance and loss of menu button.
