About the Game
Gunkid 99 is a fast and frantic SCORE CHASER inspired by Super Crate Box and arcade style games. The goal of the game is to earn as high a score as you can by collecting weapon drops throughout a run (and thereby changing your weapon in the process).
There are multiple hand-crafted stages that unlock as you progress. Each stage has a different layout with its own set and combinations of enemies, so craft your own unique play-styles and develop crazy combos for each stage with the numerous weapons and abilities at your disposal. Lay waste to endless hordes of enemies and compete for the High score with your Steam friends or on global leaderboards.

Up to date
A small balancing patch.
The ability 'Overkill' has been adjusted to prevent it from reaching a broken situation whereby players can gain health faster than they can lose it.
The maximum amount of excess damage you can gain from Overkill is now capped at 20. That means if you manage to do 35 damage to an enemy with 4 hitpoints, instead of absorbing the excess 31 points of damage you will only absorb 20. The amount needed to gain an additional health remains unchanged (180 points).
In additional, when the Player has been hurt and is currently invulnerable, no excess damage will be adsorbed.

Hi all!
With this update I've finally implemented a feature that has been on my mind for some time now. And that is:

As you already know, weapons from the Shop will start spawning in 'Normal' Mode once bought and unlocked. However, you might find yourself regretting the purchase but has no recourse to stop it from spawning other than equipping the equivalent Weapon-Blocker.
With this update, any weapon sold back to the Shop will stop spawning in-game. Of course this only applies to weapons found in the Shop. Weapons you've naturally unlocked as you progress through the game cannot be sold!
Now that there is no risk of being stuck with an undesired weapon, I hope this will incentivize some of you to give the various weapons in the Shop a try!
