About the Game
Little Chef: Cozy Cooking is a short game where you experiment in the kitchen.
You can drag, toss, and combine ingredients in fun and surprising ways, to fill your cookbook with over 300 recipes, ranging from the gourmet to the gross. The game is about 3 hours long.
KITCHEN SANDBOX
Get messy in the kitchen! Everything has weight, motion and personality. Drag and drop items, or throw them around. So, mix and match, toss and break things to complete your to do list.
COUNTLESS SECRETS
Not all ingredients are easy to find. Every cabinet and shelf is chock-full of hidden ingredients waiting to be uncovered. Some are hidden, others are locked away, and solving these puzzles might mean thinking creatively.
CHAOTIC ACHIEVEMENTS
Behind every kitchen nook and cranny are achievements that reward you for bending the rules of the kitchen. To solve the game’s most challenging puzzles, players will need to throw out the recipe book, roll up their sleeves, and think outside the box.

THE TEAM
Hello! We are a small group of friends who wanted to make a cute game about cooking. We started this project in the end of 2024 and this will be is our first commercial release!
Our team is Julien (game designer & co-creator), Erika (artist & co-creator), Danny (programmer) and Kristin (narrative desiger) and Tumult Kollective (audio design).
Most of us work on this project part time but we love experimenting, learning, and pushing their ideas as far as their own skills, time, and personal investment allow us. And we hope you will enjoy our creation :)

IMPORTANT
- If you want to play level 3, you must first go to Level 2 and finish the to-do list. There is also a new recipe in Level 2!

Changes
- Changed it so the picture in front of the fuse box doesn't slide back down automatically to prevent confusion.
Fixes
- The numbers of dishes and achievements in the main menu are now correct
- Fixed an incredibly annoying audio bug for mac users, that led to random audio playing constantly... sorryyy!
- Fixed the dish folder counters in level 0
- Fix the ToDo list saying -1 for trading with the rat

- After the completion of the piggy bank a happy post-it will now appear in its place
- Sorting the books now has unique sound effects
- Steam rich presence (friends on steam can now see in which level you are and how many recipes you have)
Adjustments
- Canned Coffee can also be made using a coin now
- Clicking the piggy bank now has a different sound, the more coins are inside
- Moved one poster in Level 0 a tiny bit so it has more space

- Dropping a coin now respawns it instead of losing it.
- Changed the hints for Baked Potato, Paper Trash, Specialty Espresso, Canned Coffee, Chocolate Cake and Cupcake

- Level 2 has now a piggy bank. Saving up 20 coins unlocks the paint brush for Level 0
- Players can now customize Level 0, by changing wallpapers, wood types and poster frames
- Changed posters and other customizations are now saved
- Books can be sorted and rearranged which leads to a new achievement
- Level 1 and Level 2 both have their own "100% complete" achievement, which also shows up in Level 0 once unlocked
- A new achievement can be unlocked in the Main Menu, referencing another great indie game with a similar cursor to ours
- Added 2 folders to Level 0 which allow you to see all dishes in one place
- Added a new good dish in Level 1
- The new discord implementation will show other people on discord how far you've come and which level you are currently in
- New easter egg when looking at the Void Bagel for too long
- New and improved sound effects for several interactions

- Improved several espresso based dish recipes in level 2 which can now also be made with double espresso
- Added more letters and numbers to the tiles in level 1 to improve the key puzzle experience
- changed the weight of objects so they more realistically float in the water

- Removed the Cookie Jar, Pencils and Jelly Box from My Room since they didn't feel fun/fitting enough
- The Master Chef and Master of Disaster Achievements have been removed since they were obsolete

- The order papers now have a spawning animation and sound
- Fixed spelling errors and improved german and chinese localisation
- Prevent the espresso mug from spilling while it is already in the oven
- Made it much easier to drag espresso into the oven without spilling it
- Improved the audio on the espresso machine

- Fixed the blue letter appearing every time when coming back to level 1
- Fixed an issue with the team photo breaking too early
- Prevent that the void bagel can be interacted with through the safe door & stop the audio on door close mid-animation
- Fixed the tags, showing that they are active once the book is closed, and disable the level 3 tag
Improvements
- Chalk in Level 2 now actually plays a drawing sound while drawing on the blackboard
- Post-It's now play a sticking sound when being stuck onto the wall and play a sound when dropping from the wall after time
- improved the way levels unlock which might've fixed the blue letter reappearing (we are still on the lookout for this bug)

Known Issues
- For some players, the letter that unlocks level 2 reappears when going back into level 1. We understand this is frustrating and are working on a fix! (This might be fixed, but we are still investigating it. Please report it if you encounter it: F2).
Adjustments
- the secret bagel dish is no longer needed to get the Master of Disaster Achievement as this lead to confusion and wasn't clearly enough communicated
Fixes
- fixed the spelling on void bagel and add missing localization to it
- We FINALLY fixed a huge bug that broke the entire game. The cooking sound didn't stop and the pot wouldn't clear dishes. This happened when the pencil wrote on top of a letter in the main menu. Super difficult to find but thank you everyone for the bug reports!
- Fixed a case where you could draw and right click to put the pencil back at the same time, which allowed you to continue drawing with your cursor.
- Set an default FPS cap as some laptops and macs would heat up a lot during gameplay. If this happens to you, we recommend checking if your fps are set as unlimited.
Known Issues
- For some players, the letter that unlocks level 2 reappears when going back into level 1. We understand this is frustrating and are working on a fix!
- If the coffee maker is used in a very specific moment the sound doesn't stop
Adjustments
- Removed the Ice Tea since it was too confusing to make
Fixes
- Prevent the security card from being enabled before making the dish.
- Fixed a visual bug on the safe.
- Fixed the reload button in the settings menu from breaking the game.
- Prevent the -secret bagel- sound to play if the safe door is closed during the animation (it still plays through the closed door but stops when leaving the safe).
Known Issues
- For some players, the letter that unlocks level 2 reappears when going back into level 1
- The cooking sound doesn't stop and prevents further cooking. We are hard at trying to fix this asap!!
- If the coffee maker is used in a very specific moment the sound doesn't stop
