You’re free to journey together for as long as you desire, with the option of both casual and full shared progression sessions - where both players save all progress. Alternatively, use your Free Friends Pass to invite anyone to join your game regardless of whether they own a copy themselves.

Hotfix Notes
Fixed the hitboxes of Grand Axes’ two-handed heavy attacks.
Fixed cases where “Traverse” interactions could appear without the corresponding Moth Walls during certain boss encounters.
Fixed a case where the Eidolon of Adyr could teleport outside the combat arena and be defeated automatically.
Increased social currency rewards for completing invasions, assisting another player in defeating a boss, and defeating enemies as part of the “Avenge Lampbearer” feature.
Increased the amount of social currency rewarded for defeating elite enemies.

Hotfix Notes – Version 2.5.352
Fixed a case where the Guest Player’s level could reset after backing out of the Chrysalis Respec menu during a co-op session.
Fixed a case where the Host Player would automatically initiate a search for a new session after the Guest Player left.
Fixed a case where both players could be teleported to a previously visited Vestige when the Guest Player used the “Rest” function.
Fixed a case where the Guest Player was unable to use the “Warp to Vestige” option in Full Privilege, Non-Shared Progression co-op sessions.
Fixed a case where the privilege type in Non-Shared Progression co-op sessions could change from Full to Limited when the Guest Player joined.

Lords of the Fallen has undergone quite a journey since its launch in October 2023, with online co-op receiving some of the most significant evolution along the way.
We began with Seamless Co-op, allowing Lampbearers to fight side by side without interruption. In April 2025, we expanded this with Full Shared Progression Co-op, enabling both players to advance together through the main adventure. With V2.0, we also introduced the Free Friends Pass, letting you play online with others regardless of ownership.
Today, we take another step forward.
Guided by your feedback, this update expands player freedom, streamlines matchmaking, and improves overall session stability, alongside additional fixes and performance enhancements.
Shared Progression: Expanded Freedom
By popular demand, guest players in Shared Progression Co-op now have significantly more control, creating a more unified experience in your joint battle against the darkness.
Your fellow Lampbearer can now:
Upgrade equipment (Sanguinarix, Umbral Lamp, weapons)
Socket upgrade items
Interact with vendor NPCs
Use Chrysalis Rebirth
Rest and warp between Vestiges
Plant Vestige seeds
Begin Boss battles

Non-Shared Progression: Custom Privileges
When playing Non-Shared Progression Co-op, you will now have the option to choose whether your guest has Full or Limited privileges.

Improved Matchmaking & Session Flow
Joining forces with another Lampbearer is now simpler and more reliable.
To begin a co-op session:
Visit any Vestige and access the Multiplayer menu
Set a password and share it with your friend
Ensure both players have the same progression settings selected
For matchmaking, simply leave the password field empty.
Bug Fixes & Improvements
Fixed an issue where clients could not socket Umbral Eyes into the Umbral Lamp during co-op
Fixed an issue where clients could not socket runes into weapons during co-op
Fixed the issue with character's level getting multiplied after using Rebirth Chrysalis in Co-op.
Fixed the PS5 DualSense controller not working properly on the Steam version.

Resolved an instance where players could receive an additional Veteran of the Veil armour set upon completing Veteran Mode when it was already stored in the Coffer.
Improved Moth Trail Guidance behaviour across Skyrest Bridge, Pilgrim’s Perch, Forsaken Fen, Fitzroy Gorge, Lower Calrath, Sunless Skein, the Cistern, Fief of the Chill Curse, and the Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters.
Addressed multiple co-op crashes tied to:
Animation synchronisation between players, including item pickups.
NPC vendor transactions.
Save synchronisation.

Hotfix Patch Notes
Eidolon of Adyr Fixes:
Fixed lock-on no longer disappearing when Eidolon of Adyr teleports during the fight.
Fixed the correct ending now triggering properly after defeating Eidolon of Adyr.
Removed redundant invisible collisions from the Eidolon of Adyr arena.
Fixed Adyr continuing his monologue into the ending cutscene if defeated too quickly.
Fixed Frostbite VFX now displaying correctly on Eidolon of Adyr.
Fixed flickering fire VFX when Eidolon of Adyr moved his head sideways.
Co-op Stability Fixes:
Fixed crashes occurring when player characters died during co-op.
Fixed crashes occurring upon completing a boss fight during co-op.
NG+ Menu Navigation:
Fixed the highlight moving outside the boundaries of the NG+ Difficulty selection screen.
