Story

Once, there was an honorable samurai in the service of the Shogun, but by night, he transformed into an artist painting forbidden desires with his brush. When a shunga artwork depicting the Shogun’s sister leaked beyond the palace walls, a great scandal erupted. Stripped of his rank and expelled from the Shogun’s service, he became a ronin. The Shogun remained silent… but Kuroda Nobumasa, the powerful daimyo of the Ashina region, would not forgive this disgrace. Swearing vengeance in the name of honor, Nobumasa sent shinobi assassins after him.
