Hi Mechanics!
Last few week we’ve been hard at work on the Creative mode update that we mentioned in our latest devblog. It contains a lot of new things that we need help testing out to make sure it runs well.
Some of these things are updated terrain worlds that now have trees and rocks from survival.
We also added water to the terrain and slightly expanded it in size.
Something we are really excited to see you try out are the new enemy capsules.
These allow you to release bots in to the creative world. You can also paint the bots in other colors to make them turn on each other. This is a fun feature that let’s you set up bot battles.
We also made it possible for mechanics to customize their main menu buy clicking on the blue pen icon at the bottom. Keep in mind that bearings can’t be used in the main menu world.
On top of all this we also made a ton of fixes and improvements that we are sure a lot of mechanics will be happy with! One of them is a physics quality slider that can be accessed in-game from the ESC – Option menu. Here you can set how good you want the physics to be. It’s a good slider to have to adjust performance, but also to make some really wacky creations. Give these a try!
Please keep in mind that some things are still missing in the test that will be added in the coming days.
For example Woc and glowbug Capsules and a few more fixes we are still currently in the works.

Hi Mechanics!
This test turned in to a pretty long one as you might have noticed. We ended up doing a lot of small fixes. But also because we wanted to add a few more things for testing before we drop it.
Today the 30th of October we finally added the new Beacon interactive part that we’ve been teasing on our Twitter. The Beacon will help you set navigation waypoints in the world to make exploration much easier. It can now be crafted in the Craftbot! Some other highlights are fixes to the UI and main menu that we didn’t find time to add for the survival release. There is still more work to be done to the UI but we are getting there. We also fixed a bigger issue where the frame rate dropped for no clear reason for some players after playing longer sessions in survival. That should not happen anymore.
We hope to move all of these things to the main game very soon!

Hi Mechanics!
It’s time to move all the things we tested into the game!
Thanks for all the amazing feedback! Here are some of the new things in this update. Cotton plants can now be planted on your farm. You can trade for Cotton seeds at the Farmer hideout. We decided to add these seeds since some players had a hard time finding cotton in their generated world. We will do the same with pigment flowers in the future. We’ve also added the Chemical container to the Craftbot. It’s not very useful at the moment, but we have things in the works where it will have an important function. Lastly, we also did a lot of balancing tweaks based on the community feedback!

Hi Mechanics!
We have updated the test with some more stuff!
In the updated version we made a lot of small changes that should make the overall experience of the game smoother. For example, since cotton can be scarce in some worlds, you can now buy cotton seeds at the hideout trader and plant them yourself.
In addition to that, we also made further networking improvements with better bandwidth adjustment and object prioritization. This will make the game work much better when playing multiplayer over slower connections.
