This place is shrouded in mystery. Horrible legends and gloom filled ancient stories, full of unimaginable things, have been going around for centuries.
The Endless Dungeon that was created long before humans...
So say the old people. Now — a place of darkness and ugly creatures.
Spark in the Dark is an atmospheric Dungeon Crawler in a medieval dark fantasy setting, where our hero dives into the depths of a grim ancient Dungeon.
What terrible secrets keep dark depths in themselves? Is there a limit to the Abyss? Who lived here before us?
Try to survive in the darkness of endless Dungeon full of ancient secrets and terrible creatures. Or stay here forever, trying to find a way out!

Spark in the Dark is an atmospheric Dungeon Crawler in a medieval dark fantasy setting, where our hero dives into the depths of a grim ancient Dungeon.
- 5 classes of heroes each with unique skills.
- Bloody battles with monstrous creatures and deadly traps.
- A lot of interactions with the environment, including testing the skills of the hero.
- Many secret places.
- Deep and intricate lore; About one hundred books and annals with stories revealing the secrets of the dark Dungeon as well as diaries, notes and points of interest.
- Levelling up the skills of the hero as they are used. Blessings, curses and injuries.
- Damaging and repairing the Hero’s equipment.
- Procedural Generation; Monsters, equipment, loot, stats and some level elements are generated differently each time you enter the Dungeon.

- Fixed the hero getting stuck when trying to pry something open again too quickly with a crowbar.
- Fixed several colliders on the second tier where the hero could enter a gap and become trapped.
- Added a sound when the hero enters a defensive stance.
- Added a hero sound when a negative effect is removed using a surgical kit, bandages, an antidote, or other items.

- Fixed an issue that could make resting in the wounded warrior’s room on the first tier unsafe.
- Adjusted surgical kit generation: more kits than intended could previously appear on the second and subsequent tiers.
- Fixed wall lamps with switches loading incorrectly.
- Fixed an issue with loading a hanging Niss.
- Fixed several issues affecting Morrochs.
- The crane handle now displays the correct model when dropped.
- Broken swords now display the correct descriptions.
- Added sounds for using surgical kits and bandages.

- Improved the Dodge calculation formula. Heavy armor now applies a -10% Dodge penalty, while light armor grants a +10% bonus. Previously, heavy armor had a noticeable advantage over other armor types.
- Added a finishing move animation for two-handed swords
- Added new hit reaction animations for the Nisses
- Fixed issues that could leave the crossbow in an incorrect state if reloading was interrupted
- Fixed issues related to shooting flying creatures
- Improved the armor upgrade interface. Also fixed an issue that prevented upgrades from being applied when playing with a gamepad or on Steam Deck

- Hunter experience is now awarded when a trap is triggered and deals damage, not only when a creature dies
- Legendary weapon generation now depends on the hero’s preferred skill — one-handed or two-handed weapons. Previously, the chance was random (50/50)
- Optimized the game’s sound system — improved performance and reduced RAM usage
- Weapon switching now generates noise within a small radius. The effect depends on the hero’s skill, armor type, and whether the hero is in stealth
- Switching weapons while in stealth no longer breaks stealth
- Improved lock interaction for the Thief — the lockpicking window now displays the correct key name if one can be used
- Improved item throwing, including coins — items are now thrown within the hero’s forward hemisphere
- Fixed a hero freeze issue when interrupting drinking
- Fixed loading of stationary light sources — some lamps could fail to turn on after loading a save
- Adjusted secret area tracking on the 2nd and 3rd layers. Some passages are no longer considered secret, since they function as map shortcuts (applies to newly generated layers)
- Fixed a red glow visual artifact on macOS — improved blood shader
- Adjusted attack sounds for the flying creature
- Increased the fight collider size of the Bloodguzzler — making it easier to hit

- Improved dream system — alcohol now correctly affects the chance of nightmares
- Increased duration of most potions (90 sec → 120 sec). Health potion now heals more intensively.
- Added auto-reload for an empty crossbow when attacking (uses a standard bolt). Manual reload still opens the bolt selection window
- Increased crossbow reload speed — now scales more strongly with the Crossbows skill and Dexterity (skill has priority)
- Improved bolt retrieval mechanics from dead creatures and fixed related issues
- Added enhanced auto-attack for one-handed weapons when finishing off enemies (requires >1 weapon skill level)
- Optimized lighting across dungeon levels
- Durability progression of weapons, armor, and shields now better matches layer progression — items are slightly more durable on the 2nd and 3rd layers
- Improved generation of armor elements for the Blacksmith
- Fixed activation of artifacts for the Energy Core — previously, in some cases, they could be retrieved back
- Fixed Niss animation getting stuck in certain cases
