Official update history
Fixed an issue for players returning to the game after the Early Access loot table changes. These players were experiencing bugs where loot sources were empty or not giving any loot (shops, chests, initial weapons, etc.).
Changes:
New Tool: Flaming Horses – Unleash a herd of flaming horses that charge forward, leaving a burning trail in their wake.

Hi there! A new patch just went live, here is the list of changes and fixes:

Added an option to hide version number
Bugfix:
Fixed an issue with weapons and tools sometimes not dealing the intended damage
Adjusted the size of the tentacle's hitbox in Port
Fixed Vayu's protection not working as intended
Fixed multiple localization issues in Farsi
Fixed an issue with some doors in Palace not having colliders
Fixed some items unintentionally displaying a recycle option
Fixed multiple achievements issues that wouldn't unlock as intended
Fixed some visual issues in Temple
Fixed Smoker's third quest displaying the wrong name and icon
Fixed an issue causing scarabs from the swarm to become invisible
Fixed missing icons on UI for mouse users
Fixed a generation issue in Port that caused duplicate exits to Garden
Fixed stomp on breakable floors not working as intended

Hotfix V1.0.3 : f7d2e6e0
is now live.Bugfixes:
- Prevent players from getting out of the level in all biomes.
- Fix some data in the mindmaps, should help with the nodes not displaying.
- Fix localization reported on discord.
- Move version number a little bit to the right to avoid overlap with level HUD.
- Tweak spacing in quests to avoid cut off.
- Fix Shahin's laboratory art not displaying correctly.
- Remove recycle component from items that shouldn't have it.
A newx patch is on its way with more fixes soon.

Hotfix V1.0.2 : e5fa75132
is now live.We've heard there was some trouble on the version released on Wednesday for people using Legacy saves or others not being able to unlock achievements.
We've been working hard on fixes and to get this new build ***V1.0.2 : e5fa75132*** to you guys asap.
So basically what's in there:
- Hurtboxes remaining too long on some traps.
- Archivist's texts isn't cutoff anymore.
- Adding security on Legacy Save Migration.
- Adding security on Achievements unlock.
- Add last reward in archivist.
- Fix localization issue in some archivist description.
- Fix Health Bar overflowing and not displaying correctly.
A new patch is on its way to fix other issues you've reported asap.
For those on Consoles or other PC platforms, these patches are also on their way, the process is a bit more complicated though as we need to tackle the Cloud Conflict issue first + we need to go through the whole certification process. We are sorry about that but rest assured that we are doing our very best!

After an Early Access full of twists and turns, we've finally arrived at the big day - The Rogue Prince of Persia has reached 1.0!
We'd like to think we've shown how effective Early Access can be with the frankly insane evolution of the game from May 2024 to now - all of which wouldn't have been possible without your input and support, so thank you 🙏

So, what have we added for 1.0? Let's take a look...
Two new biomes
Port of Ctesiphon
Beware the corrupted waters of the port, as many dangers lurk within... From tentacles to exploding blobs, everything is out to get you here!
Make sure to explore every pier, or you will never find the way to save Persia.
Besieged Palace
Once a magnificent building from where the royal family benevolently ruled their people, the Palace has been completely ravaged by the Hun's initial attacks and the malevolent corruption that now emanates from the Throne Room.
Reclaim your home by rooting out the Huns and finding the man who defeated you before and the cause of this whole ordeal, King Nogai.
Final Boss - King Nogai
It's time for the final showdown!
You can finally confront King Nogai in the throne room at the heart of the Palace and stop the invasion once and for all! Or can you...
Final Story Act
Find the true ending by exploring the new areas (and some old ones) to figure out how to save Persia and restore your lost honour.
Don't forget to use the Mind Map and talk to your allies in the Oasis!
What's next?
The Rogue Prince of Persia is now considered complete, we will be releasing some patches to cover bugs and what not, but this is the full game. Of course, if the game gets popular we'll never say never to adding more...
In any case, we have other projects cooking away in the background here at Evil Empire, so please do keep an eye on our social media as we'll be announcing things in the not-so-far future!

We're back with the last update before 1.0 drops in August!
Seeing as most of our small team has been working on the ton of content that will come with the 1.0 release in August, this update is full of 'Quality of Life' features and changes that put the game in a good place before the final push.
Let's do the new features first!
New Feature – Arsenal
After unlocking a certain number of items in a category (Weapons, Tools and Medallions) you’ll unlock its Arsenal, allowing you to ban a limited number of items from that category - blocking them from appearing during your runs.
You don’t like a certain weapon? Just ban it!
Warning: you may hurt the feelings of the devs who lovingly crafted that weapon...
New Feature – Mini Map and World Map Legends
The Mini and World Map have been filled up with a lot of information and icons, and it can be difficult to remember what is what.
To help with that, we’ve added legends in both maps that can be toggled on and off.
Perfect for people like me who have a sieve for a brain 🙏
New Feature – Tutorials compendium
We’ve added a compendium in the Pause Menu that will allow you to revisit the tutorials you've seen. Mostly in case you forgot something and can't be arsed to Google it, but also you'll be able to find some more information about the game's features!
New Feature – Story Objectives
To help players remember what they should be looking for to progress in the story (and therefore unlock content) we’ve added Story Objectives - high level reminders based on what you already know.
These objectives will appear in the Mind Map, when the Objective changes and when entering/leaving the Oasis.
And now the reworks/additions...
Rework - some Awakening Stones
Reworked some Stones and added new ones (especially around Death Defiance to nerf it at higher difficulties because it's TOO STRONG)

Rework - Medallion destruction (or not)
Medallions are no longer destroyed!
If you’re already full and want to pick-up a new one, the medallion you replace will fall on the ground so you can recycle it (or leave it there for later, that’s your choice after all)
I think we all know this is the GOAT of the update...
Rework - Book of Heads
Added missing quests
Rework of all weapon and tool-specific quests. We’ve heard your feedback about those ones, and we agree, so we changed them 😊
Reworked the bosses' last quests to not be hitless, this is now specific to the achievement only
Reduced overall values of quest requirements
Increased rewards
Rework - Recycle ability
Reworked the amount of gold given when you recycle.
Improved legibility of the progress when you hold the button to recycle (another GOAT!).
Balancing
Quick balancing pass on everything, bosses included.
Optimization
A never-ending work to improve the game’s performance...
And that's it! Let us know what you think about all of that - we're concentrated on 1.0 but there's always room for balancing and tweaking!
As well as this being the last update before 1.0, we've also got the last discount before 1.0 in the Steam Summer Sale so this'll be the last chance to get the game at a good deal for a little while - just sayin....

- Fixed camera sometimes not resetting when loading a biome,

- Fixed a looter room in Aqueduct that could cause rewards to drop on the roof,
- Fixed an issue with Cinders counter,
- Fixed Mithra's light sometimes not displaying properly on doors,
- Fixed Saw description to be more accurate, nop, it doesn’t hurt the Prince anymore.
