Thumper is rhythm violence: classic rhythm-action, blistering speed, and brutal physicality. You are a space beetle. Brave the hellish void and confront a maniacal giant head from the future.
Scream down the endless track and crash through punishing obstacles with simple, airtight controls. Hurtle forward, master new moves, reach overwhelming velocities, and survive epic boss battles. Every crushing impact is interwoven with a pounding original soundtrack. To reach synesthetic bliss, you must go through rhythm hell.

Fixed case where resume/restart appears (instead of start) on the level select screen when you start a level, complete the checkpoint, restart back to the first checkpoint, then return to the level select screen.

Here's an update to ensure the game will work well on Steam Deck. It also improves how the game works with different controller types. It should also let Linux users play the game via Proton (though we don't officially support that).

- Fixed re-centering VR position and orientation (hold ESC key OR start/pause button)
- Fixed pausing via keyboard (ESC key) in VR mode
- Playing in VR mode no longer requires the Thumper desktop window to be focused. This was causing issues where the game appeared to hang when launching into VR mode.
The latest update fixes minor visual issues with the "DX9 Legacy" version of the game. The other (DX11) versions are not affected.

We've updated Thumper's Original Soundtrack to take advantage of some new Steam features.
First, you can now browse, manage, and filter the soundtrack from your Steam library.

Finally, high-quality FLAC audio is optionally available for the soundtrack. To get it, make sure you've checked the "Download high-quality audio files" in your Settings > Music dialog. The FLAC files will be installed into a "flac" folder in your soundtrack installation directory.

- Fixed case where game will run in slow motion in Oculus VR mode
- Windows 10 exe is only auto-launched when using Windows 10 build 15063 or later. This avoids potential compatibility issues with older Windows 10 releases.
- Re-deprecated Razor Chroma support. If it was working for you and you want to keep using it, you can add "-chroma" to your launch options (Library > Thumper > Properties > GENERAL > SET LAUNCH OPTIONS...)
Of course our "final" update has to be followed by a "final" hotfix!
This should address all known issues we plan to fix. Of course, we'll still be looking out for any new major issues.

- Limit update rate of Xbox One controller vibration in Windows 10 exe to 30Hz to fix trigger vibration issues
- Allow alternate key for menu “select” to be remapped on keyboard controls screen
- Fixed issue with some keys not working when mapped to gameplay actions
- Fixed minor input issues on keyboard controls screen
- Prevent boss bonus thumps from unlocking shields when pounded. This prevents bugs that happen when a shield is prematurely unlocked before a boss phrase begins (thanks Hannes!).

- Disable vibration on previous controller when hot swapping to a new controller
This should address all known issues we plan to fix. Of course, we'll still be looking out for any new major issues.

- Removed the three “Win10” launch options. Windows 10 is now detected by the default executable and the Windows 10 compatible executable is automatically launched. If you want to use the Windows 7/8 exe on Windows 10, use the "-force_win8" launch option.
- Added automatic pause when active controller is disconnected
- Added automatic pause when SteamVR dashboard is displayed (SteamVR Mode)
- Added automatic pause when Oculus system menu is displayed (Oculus VR Mode)
- Added credits to options menu
- Fixed case when pounding boss weapon only spawns one bonus thump instead of two (thanks Austin!)
