Weather and Systems
When you operate in the aviation industry, the weather is a key influencer. To create realism we’ve implemented a detailed weather system allowing for real-time weather mapped in conjunction with the METAR system. Of course, you can alternatively choose to select the weather type if you wish to do so.
Gameplay Modes
Within AirportSim, you’ll be provided with multiple game modes:
Scenario: Gameplay planned based on stacked flight plans, predefined weather conditions and tasks you'll have to complete in sequence.
Challenge: Feel like you can handle any situation at the airport? Test your skills by placing as high as possible on the scoreboard!
Cooperation: Together you can do more, and have more fun - invite your friends to join you on an adventure at one of the busy airports.
Free Play: No rules here, explore airports at your own speed and do as you please. You can watch the planes come and go or get involved, you decide!
Steam Workshop
Lacking a bit of customization, like for example your own airline? Don’t worry, we got you covered. AirportSim will launch with Steam Workshop integration, allowing for the creation of your own aircraft paint skins and gameplay scenarios, or for downloading the creations of others!

Ground Handlers, we are coming back with an update for PC. Let's have a look:
New Feature: Classic Automated Luggage System
We've reintroduced the automated luggage loading and unloading system - a feature some of you might remember from our early 2023 demos!
This system now coexists with the standard manual loading method
Single Player Only: Due to current limitations in the multiplayer framework, this system is available only in single player
How to Use:
Stand near the aircraft
Open the Communication Wheel → go to the Ground Crew tab
Select Luggage
Choose to Load or Unload depending on the aircraft's status
Then select the appropriate cargo hold (Front or Back)
Enjoy a smoother, easier and more nostalgic handling experience!
Fixes & Improvements:
Loading saved time & weather
Various multiplayer stability fixes to improve gameplay experience
Minor tweaks and adjustments across the board
Summary
AirportSim 1.4.4 for PC reintroduces the fan-favorite Automated Luggage System from our 2023 demos, now available in single player mode. Along with this nostalgic feature, we've fixed save game issues, improved multiplayer stability, and made various quality-of-life adjustments for a more streamlined ground handling experience.
In this small patch, we've fixed an issue where aircraft got stuck at a crossroad in the Follow Me tutorial.

We have some good and bad news today. Let’s start with a good one first.
Our new plane movement system is now finished, however during multiple tests both with single and multiplayer we found out, that this logic needs some improvements. Now we queue the planes, consider pushback clearances, user defined planes and these flying in the background.
Bad new is that we have to postpone the release by some time to test it properly and eliminate all the bugs. There are thousands of possible scenarios which will have to be considered. Lucky, we’ve made some great tools to speed it up!
Here's a sneak peek of what we're working on and how it looks like:
{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/42514724/d498bbb81550fce71ec356088d4ca6396f8c7c6c.gif
You can see the planes simulating traffic flow without any player input. This new system is based on path finding with some segments occupancy being applied.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but our goal is to deliver a significant improvement and we want to avoid bugs. Our team is diligently working hard on these updates every day.
Optimisation:
We reduced the amount of RAM storage used by liveries. Now, the game exports liveries in a different format at the launch of the game. The first launch might take a bit longer, but subsequent loads will be faster.
These changes will improve the game's loading time when using custom skins.
If you, as a creator, make any changes to a skin, you'll find a refresh button in the livery manager. This will rebuild the skin file to reflect your changes.
- Added plane skin texture compression for faster loading times.
- Added a refresh button in the livery menu (to refresh skin textures if they've been changed).
Fixes:
- Fixed: UI couldn't be disabled while inside vehicles.
- Fixed: Flickering on the credits page during loading.
- Fixed: Delay in displaying the credits.
- Fixed: (Multiplayer) Clients unable to properly throw pickup objects.
- Adjusted: Wheel friction of the "Follow Me" vehicle.
- Adjusted: Wind noise levels.
- Fixed: Weather at Keflavik being too windy.
- Fixed: Duplicate scenarios.
- Fixed: Refuelling zone remains visible even after confirming the task as finished.
In other significant news, starting next week and throughout November, Patch Notes will be released once a week on Thursdays. We are working on the road map for you to show what’s in store for the next months!
Don't forget to join our live stream on Twitch tomorrow at 8 PM CET!
