About the Game
ABOUT
Amanda the Adventurer 2 follows Riley Park, who, after seeing what was contained on the mysterious tapes in their attic, travels to the Kensdale Public Library to investigate further. Upon arriving, they're greeted by a masked figure who claims to know their Aunt Kate, before she died and needs their help finding something Aunt Kate had left in the library. They also warn of a powerful entity that seems to be drawn to the tapes.
Meanwhile, Amanda is now aware of Riley's presence, and is doing everything to find a way to free herself. Suddenly, the stakes are higher than ever before, as it's not just Amanda looking for Riley now...

We've been hard at work bug hunting, and are back with an update with a variety of fixes and quality of life changes for the PC version of Amanda The Adventurer 2! Here is the full list of updates:
Increased the visibility of characters when using a virtual keyboard
Keyboard keys on the input customization screen and in-game tutorials now sync to the selected language
Fixed bug where end credits would not play after beating the game
Fixed bug where thrown objects became unreachable when thrown at the wood block puzzle

Hey Everyone!
With the console releases of Amanda 2 happening today, we are happy to say our porting partner was able to backport some quality-of-life changes to Amanda the Adventurer 2!
Here is the full list of updates being brought to the game today:
Added full gamepad support, including a virtual keyboard for responding to Amanda’s prompts
Optimized lighting and shadowing in the library, resulting in a 4x-6x speed boost depending on your device
Optimized packaged data, resulting in a smaller download size and 1.3 GB less device storage space used
Optimized memory usage and loading times
In-game tutorial notecards now reflect customized button assignments
Added the option to detect and set the in-game language based on your device’s current language (the default for new installs)
Added kana forms of Japanese text prompt responses
Fixed a rare case where videos would hang and not progress

Hey A-fan-das,
Many of you have asked about localization information, and we're happy to announce the inclusion of seven new languages for Amanda The Adventurer 2.
We've worked really hard on getting faithful translations to allow the game to feel right in each new language, but of course if you run into any issues please let us know, we want the game to be great in whatever language you're playing in.

Thanks so much for your patience while the MANGLEDmaw team continues to work on improvements to Amanda the Adventurer 2.
This major update includes a major overhaul of the first puzzle in the game (the library database), fixing the Wooly tape disappearing, adding a skip cutscene option for the intro, and other critical bug fixes that make that pesky Pop-Up Book puzzle less of an issue. Let's dive into it!
MANGLEDmaw and DreadXP have heard the criticisms of the game's first puzzle loud and clear. It became clear that library database puzzle at the start of the game wasn't giving all players a positive experience and didn't reflect the team's intended experience as designed.
The puzzle has been significantly modified to give players a much better experience when starting Amanda the Adventurer 2. The path to solving the puzzle is now much smoother (and shorter) so everyone can start watching the first tape that much faster :)
Please note that this does change the solution of the puzzle as well, the code is not the same as before.

Just in case there's anyone who wants to be able to play the original version of the first puzzle of ATA2, we've created a separate branch on steam for anyone to access!
You can access the separate branch on steam by right clicking on the game in your steam library, and selecting "Properties...".

This will open a new window. On the left side, click on the "Betas" tab.

Enter the beta access code puzzle1classic into the text field, press the "Check Code" button on the right side, then press the large blue button that will appear if you've entered the code correctly.

This will give you access to version 1.0.4c, the last version before the Library Database Puzzle was changed.
You can see which beta branch (if any) you are on in the top right corner. Clicking on that dropdown will give you the option to set "Beta Participation" back to "None" so you can play the latest version of the game.

We just released a new patch, and with that you should be able to use those bad boys to run Amanda the Adventurer 2 now!
