About the Game
Roguelite - where too much greediness can be fatal. A colorful world with armed birds blazing their way through piles of mutants, monsters and creepy creatures. Lots of mysteries to unravel, secrets to discover and levels to explore.
Story mode (1-2 local players): An explosive adventure where you’ll find yourself fighting invaders and searching for the origin of evil. There’s an endless onslaught of enemies for you to shoot, blast, zap and disintegrate every which way. A cute and charming world with challenging levels full of surprises.
Tournament mode (2-4 local players): A battle experience where you compete with your friends to find out who's the real hero.

Randomly generated levels and loot drops make every playthrough different.

- Normal: Procedurally generated levels where every single playthrough is a unique experience.
- Seeded: You can set your seed and play the same levels.
- Daily: Compete with other players in a newly generated run every day.

Tournament mode (2-4 local players): A battle experience where you compete with your friends to find out who's the real hero.
- Deathmatch: Everyone out for themselves. Last beak standing wins.
- One gun mode: Each player starts with the same randomly chosen weapon which cannot be changed for that round.
- Drop Hearts mode: A player drops some hearts when he is hurt and he or any other player can collect them.
- Skull keeper mode: Grab and keep the golden skull without losing it for a certain amount of time and all your opponents will lose 1 HP.
- Hunting mode: Each player starts with a spear. Once you throw it, you need to grab it before you can throw it again.

Hi everyone,
Here's an update with some bug fixes and other changes. To be more specific about the main changes - we removed "No weapons in the shop" passive ability for Enigma character. With this ability removed, in general nothing changed for Enigma - even if a weapon is purchased in the shop it will be changed to a random weapon after leaving a shop. However, it enables some additional pros like being able to make use of Tag and Gift Bag items and playing in co-op another player now will be able to purchase a weapon.

Here's an update with some bug fixes and other changes. To be more specific about the main changes - we removed "No weapons in the shop" passive ability for Enigma character. - Playing on EASY difficulty Ravel enemy will charge towards player slower compared to NORMAL difficulty.
- Playing Goosebumps challenge in co-op Pocket Ghosts for that challenge will move slower.
- Removed Black Matter, Surprise and Paranoia artifacts from Collector challenge.
- Defeated bosses in Collector challenge will drop an item instead of artifact.
- If Enigma character will carry artifacts with 3 or more risk value will increase a chance to get better weapons.
- Edited "Odd Egg" artifact name in Russian translation.
Bug fixes
- Fixed a bug where in some occasions players could lose HP after entering the door.
- Fixed a bug where in rare occasions Plasma Gun projectiles never disappeared if bounced in small space.
We also received some reports about the bugs that are very rare and occur only in a very specific situations. Due to this it's very difficult to reproduce them and find the exact cause, so we added some additional safety checks that potentially could prevent them from happening:
- A bug where occasionally in the late loops (over loop 20) the game froze on loading level state.
- A bug where if dropped loot (coins, hearts, keys) ended up on destroyed bushes it instantly teleported to the initial spawn position.

Hi,
We’ve got a lot of feedback after release. Some rare bugs were found and reported so we published few hotfix updates before this one, but haven’t posted any patch notes. We also updated Blazing Beaks Character Editor a couple of times.

- Added new “windowed” mode in video settings for display. It will upscale the game in windowed mode to the maximum to fit in the screen. This is useful for players who have high resolution monitors and want to play in windowed mode.

- Stacked Shadow artifact was working as a single artifact even if multiple Shadow artifacts were stacked. Now Shadow artifact cannot be stacked.

We are super excited and thrilled today - can’t believe that after almost 3 and half years of development of Blazing Beaks this is happening today. ːsteamhappyː No more days of looking at calendars and waiting - Blazing Beaks exits Early Access and v1.0 together with an awesome update is now available to everyone!
First of all, we want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who played the game, gave us cool ideas, suggestions, spread a word about the game and helped to make Blazing Beaks a better game. Knowing that you enjoy the game, seeing those incredible runs on the internet, funny reactions, personal records was a huge motivation to keep developing the game. Your support has been amazing and we always felt that you got our backs!
As a thank you we gifted DLC of Blazing Beaks OST for all Early Access purchasers for free.
Blazing Beaks full release comes with an awesome Update 28. One and the most anticipated part in the Story mode was missing, but now we added it - the game has an ending.
We also updated Blazing Beaks Characters Editor and added all the weapons that are currently in the game to it. Editor is included in Blazing Beaks package and you can find in under Tools section in your Steam Library. As usually, you can also download it from our website: https://blazingbeaks.com/mods/
We plan to improve Blazing Beaks Editor and the whole modding system in the future based on some suggestions that we’ve got.
Also we updated https://blazingbeaks.com website and now it has daily run leaderboard. We will keep updating it so that it would have more functionality.

It’s funny to remember that the very first game version did not even have an inventory window, had very few items and artefacts and players still loved and enjoyed the game. We are really happy when we look back of what has been done throughout Early Access.
Here’s what has been done in 28 updates:
It’s no doubt that we will support the game after full release. If any urgent fixes are needed we will try to push updates as soon as possible. On the other hand, we will focus on bigger content updates, but that means that they will come out not as quickly. We already have some plans for upcoming content. Feel free to suggest your ideas. We will try to prioritize the things that players want the most.

During Early Access period, we made 28 updates. It’s funny to remember that the very first game version did not even have an inventory window, had very few items and artefacts and players still loved and enjoyed the game. We are really happy when we look back of what has been done throughout Early Access.
Here’s what has been done in 28 updates:
- Added Daily Runs feature - all players can compete with each other in newly generated run everyday;
- Added Seeded Runs feature - players can play the same generated run over and over again;
- Added game difficulty setting - Easy, Normal, Hard;
- Added aim assist feature;
- Added 70 new items and artefacts;
- Added 32 new weapons;
- Added 3 new characters.
- Added 3 new areas;
- Added 15 new enemies;
- Added 3 new bosses;
- Added 139 hand-crafted levels;
- Added 8 active abilities;
- Added achievements;
- Added trading cards;
- Balanced and optimized game a lot, improved gameplay and user experience;
- Added tutorial;
- Reworked all 5 initial characters;
- Added machines for trading resources;
- Added secret levels;
- Reworked how game handles frame rate. Now it supports dynamic frame rate.
- Added ability to steal a weapon from the shop;
- Added inventory window on pause screen;
- Added collectables, statistics and progress system to the game;
- Additionally added support for other X-Input controllers, PS4 and other regular ones.
- With the help of our community we added Russian, German, Turkish, Brazilian-Portuguese and Polish languages in the game.
- Added character mods support, Steam Workshop and made Blazing Beaks Character Editor to help with modding.
- Added an option to bind keyboard keys;
Future plans
It’s no doubt that we will support the game after full release. If any urgent fixes are needed we will try to push updates as soon as possible. On the other hand, we will focus on bigger content updates, but that means that they will come out not as quickly. We already have some plans for upcoming content. Feel free to suggest your ideas. We will try to prioritize the things that players want the most.
