Today we have released our latest Gift Bag: Sourceror Secrets. This new content has been added to your game absolutely free and is filled with new features - including the ability to use your bedroll to restore Source Points and the inclusion of new talents to pick from when you create or respec your character.
The contents of each Gift Bag are accessible via the in-game menu where you can independently enable or disable each individual feature. And all of these new features are compatible with all prior Gift Bags (Beauty Salon, Song Of Nature and Order & Magic.)

Today we’re releasing our latest Gift Bag: Order & Magic. Packed full of new features – including options to randomize combat, increase your haggling ability, and organise your sweet, sweet loot – all of which will be effortlessly added to your game, absolutely free.
As ever, the contents of each Gift Bag are accessible via the in-game menu, where you can independently enable or disable each individual feature. Of course, these are compatible with all prior Gift Bags (Beauty Salon and Song Of Nature), and you’re free to enable as many or as few as you'd like!
Gift Bag 3 includes:
Pet Power
Pet Power greatly enhances the summoning class and its infusion spells. With this feature, you can cast infusion spells on all available summons, not just your own Incarnate. Each summons receives different skills depending on the base elemental infusion type.
Combat Randomizer
When entering combat, one or more random enemies will receive one of the new special statuses created specially for this feature. Think you know how a particular fight is going to go down? Not any more! This will change everything you thought you knew about combat, with each battle presenting a fresh new challenge.
Nine Lives (Back Cat+)
Transforms the Black Cat into a follower. Once rescued, a whistle will appear in your inventory. You can use this if your cat gets lost or if you want to change who it follows.
Improved Organisation
Find a collection of special bags that allow you to better (and automatically) organise your inventory.
Sourcerous Sundries
In each major hub, you can now find a mysterious vendor selling exotic and potent artifacts. These artifacts can upgrade a character’s gear with immense power, bringing them up to the players' current level.
Hagglers
Tired of forgetting to switch to your 'haggling' character when talking to traders? Now the reputation and skill of your whole party can help you wrangle the best prices!

Hello everybody!
We have two pieces of exciting news to talk about today.
First, today marks the release of a new Gift Bag: Song of Nature. There are thousands of mods out there but some have proven to be quite popular within our team and we decided to turn them into game features. Full credit for this goes to each and every mod-maker we reached out to for this to come to light. We've tried to do their ideas justice by fully integrating them into the game and developing them further. There is now a special entry in the in-game menu from which you can access all these features and the list will be extended with future Gift Bags, with original content to come.
Secondly, we have some massive news for you. If you happen to own a Nintendo Switch, then you’ll be able to take all your hundreds of hours of gameplay on the go from today. Divinity: Original Sin 2 has just been released on the Nintendo E-Shop, and it comes not only with all of the Gift Bags you’ve enjoyed on Steam, but also cross-save progression between the Switch and Steam.
It works pretty simply: once you buy DOS2 from the E-Shop and load up the game, you’ll be asked if you want to link to Steam. If you choose to, it’ll automatically grab your saves from the elusive and impenetrable Steam cloud (you’ll see how we managed this next week), and your save will be playable on the Switch. It works vice-versa, too. Finished with a game? It’ll upload the save back into the cloud. You’ll need to be connected to the internet as well as Nintendo’s online service, but you’ll need that anyway if you’re venturing into four player coop on the Switch (which is totally possible!)
We’re extremely proud to be able to bring this to the players in cooperation with Nintendo and Valve who helped us plug everything together.

Crafter's Kit
Plenty of new recipes and unique items to craft!
Endless Runner
Find a new icon in your Hotbar which you can use to toggle sprint on and off. Sprint increases your movement speed of your party and the movement speed of your followers.
Animal Empathy
Allows all player characters to talk to animals without having to spend a talent point. Also Changes Pet Pal talent to grant maximum positive attitude in all conversations with animals.
Fort Joy Magic Mirror
Manifests a Magic Mirror in the Arena of Fort Joy, along with a new Character Creation level. This allows you to respec before moving on to the next act of the game.
8 Action Points
Increases the base maximum Action Points of hero characters to 8.
Herb Gardens
Plant your own herb garden! Take any herb and combine it with a bucket to create a seedling. Then just place your seedling in the ground and watch it grow.

Larian Studios has joined forces with Ulisses Spiele, creators of the hugely successful The Dark Eye tabletop RPG, to bring Divinity players into a new world of magic and mystery. Written and designed by Ulisses, with cooperation from Larian developers, the "Prison of Shadows" Game Master campaign is a brand new adventure suitable for The Dark Eye newcomers and veterans alike, designed for a Game Master and 2-4 players.
*Context*
The year is 1040 after the Fall of Bosparan (1040 FB). After the desperate battle to save the Middenrealm city of Perricum from the Demon Master Borborad, a mysterious ship is washed ashore the Sea of Pearls, corrupting the air and the surrounding waters. The ensuing revelation will send players on a quest to visit a dark, forgotten dungeon at the heart of the mountains...
*How to get this campaign:*
- The campaign is automatically added to the GM Campaigns folder located in \Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition. It will be present in two versions: English and German.
- The accompanying module guide, available here, contains all the information you need to play. Note that it should only be consulted by your Game Master since it unveils the full story - and therefore contains spoilers!
- If you wish to play by the official TDE rules, you can use the free TDE Quick-start Rules here.
*How to play it:*
- Start Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Definitive Edition. Prison of Shadows is already present in your list of available campaigns.
- If you’re the GM: from the Game Master menu, you can choose to Prepare the campaign if you want to get acquainted with it, or choose to Play it if you’re ready for other players to join you. Once the lobby has been created, use the Connectivity Menu to set filters on who can join your game, or get a Direct Connection address.
- If you’re a player: press Play and wait until the Prison of Shadows game from your GM appears in the server browser. Use the Filter Options to refine the search, or use the Direct Connect option to connect to your GM’s game directly.

We've released a small hotfix that addresses Shriekers becoming invisible for some people with mods.
They are now targetable again and still as dangerous to the Sourcerers as before.
We've just released a new hotfix to address some of the urgent issues affecting some playthroughs. Shriekers no longer wrongly hide, and for those who couldn't enter the Braccus Rex vault, now you can!
- Fixed being unable to enter the vault of Braccus Rex in Fort Joy
- Fixed companion items disappearing on death if the companion was pickpocketed before recruitment
- Fixed combat being stuck on enemy turn in certain conditions
- Fixed invisible shriekers in certain locations
- GM : Fixed trade inventory disappearing after GM kills a trader
- Restored LB/RB functionality when using a controller
With yesterday's extensive patch, it seems that a few issues have slipped through our hands and caused problems for some of you. With this hotfix we want to address the most urgent issues. Rest assured we will continue to monitor and look into your feedback.

- Fixed Incarnate spells not showing up in the hotbar
- Fixed losing shroud progress after loading a savegame in patch6 (unfortunately, savegames made in patch 6 cannot be fixed, so you may want to load savegames that were made before if you want your shroud back)

We've just released a new patch, and it's a big one!
How big? Well, patch 3.0.168.526 is bursting at the seams with over 500 changes and improvements, including massive modifications to skill balancing, on-demand teleportation to waypoints on the map, a new screenshot-friendly mode, and fixes for several achievements.

Changes and improvements
- Added fast waypoint travel via the main map. Clicking waypoints now lets you travel to that location directly
- Added map markers for sub-region entrances and exits
- Added a “Toggle Screenshot Mode” button to hide the UI (default: F10)
- Added range value to ranged skill and ranged skill book tooltips
- Added sorting to the trade window
- Added “Sell all wares” option to the controller trade window
- Added highlighting of new recipes to the crafting window
- Improved selection of NPCs that have items right behind them. This should prevent accidentally triggering theft behavior
- GM mode: GM can now set XP gained from monsters
- Updated and fixed several journal entries

- Rebalanced trader prices in the Nameless Isle and Arx regions
- Break the Shackles can be cast while Silenced-- removes Silence and Plague in addition to other statuses

- Updated save and load UI’s for controller
- Fixed a rare issue where the Hotbar would disappear when using a controller after opening and closing several UI’s at the same time
- Fixed being able to accidentally lose skill points in Character Creation and the Magic Mirror when using a controller
- Fixed selection of items in rune crafting interface when using a controller
- Fixed the tooltip for surface and cloud durations during combat
- Fixed “Delay your Turn” button not being shown correctly during the first round of combat
- Fixed client Hotbar switching to second tab automatically after loading a save in split screen mode

- Fixed Character sheet tabs after possessing a creature

- Fixed several issues with scrollbars not appearing correctly
- Fixed camera position when double clicking on an item in the GM’s item sheet
- Fixed a blocking issue related to disabling add-ons and loading saves related to that mod
- Fixed GM being able to invite players while still in prepare mode
- Fixed stats for items that are increased in level through the Item Sheet. Their stats are now properly adjusted to their level
- Fixed surfaces dealing incorrect amount of damage when placed by GM

- Painted instances are now saved in level templates. (Not in this patch: New instances are not correctly saved for inherited levels)
- Ctrl+z no longer requires multiple actions to undo moves/rotates/..., depending on how many objects are selected
- Localization modding support added: Localization files are now read from mod folders as well (same folder structure as Data/Localization/{YourLanguage}/..., but now also in Data/Mods/{YourMod}/Localization/{YourLanguage}). Support for new files as well as overriding existing Localization files with the same name
- Video modding support added: .bik files now supported. Videos are now loaded from mod folders as well (same folder structure as Data/Localization/{YourLanguage}/Video, but now also in Data/Mods/{YourMod}/Localization/{YourLanguage}/Video). Support for new files as well as overriding existing videos with the same name
- Right click > Move to Level now works properly instead of creating a _merged.lsf file
- Open File dialog (single file) now returns the first selected file when multi-selecting
- Less sporadic camera jumps
- Possible crash fixed when checking out level data when generating the AI grid
- Mod load order fixes (load order internally would not always match with the settings in cases where add-ons depended on other add-ons)
- Fix for "Can't load texture for preview of icon!" on opening character Icon dialog
- Import visual resource browser now default searches for .lsm instead of .gr2
- Terrain Painter: Terrain selection overlay now hides while editing the terrain
- Journal Editor: Possible crash fixed when opening the quest overview with 2 quest pages open
- Instance Painter now saves its settings better
- Animation Resource Editor: Animation text keys can be added via right click
- Level browser: Level thumbnails for Larian levels now visible
