Today we are adding support for NVIDIA DLSS 3 to Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered. This technology for GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs combines DLSS Super Resolution, DLSS Frame Generation and NVIDIA Reflex to boost your frame rate. We also plan to make latency reducing technology NVIDIA Reflex available to other RTX GPU users with a future patch.
Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling must be activated in Windows to use DLSS Frame Generation. In Windows 11, this option is turned on by default. To enable this feature in Windows 10, press the Windows key on your keyboard, type Graphics settings and press enter. This opens the Graphics settings menu. Here you can enable Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling. A restart is required to activate the feature.
This update also addresses an issue that would make cutscenes in the game slow down when no audio device was detected, or when an audio device was removed. The patch also contains a fix for a crash that could occur on some hardware configurations when using Very High ray-tracing settings.

Today we are releasing a patch for Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered with a focus on performance improvements, several new features, and bug fixes.
We identified a performance degradation issue that could occur on some hardware configurations when raytracing is enabled. This was caused by allocation contention between ray tracing job threads, that could result in stuttering after playing the game for a while. We have implemented changes to prevent this from happening. Our thanks goes out to the players that helped us identify the issue by providing logs and captures!
Intel XeSS is now available in the Display Settings menu. This temporal upscaling technology can be used to improve performance and works with both Intel, AMD, and NVIDIA GPUs. We have also updated AMD FSR to version 2.1.1 and will be adding NVIDIA DLSS 3 in a future patch soon. We also made changes to the video memory budgets, to allow the game to use more VRAM.
This update also adds the option to link your Steam and PlayStation Network accounts. Doing so in this game, gives you access to the Resilient Suit and Concussive Blast Gadget and you'll be granted 2 skill points. You will also receive the latest news, updates and offers from PlayStation Studios games on PC or PlayStation platforms. Account linking is optional and access to the unlocked items is only available while the accounts are linked. If you already unlocked the items and have acquired the maximum number of skill points, you will not unlock any extras.
Furthermore, this patch contains changes to improve the visual quality of ray-traced reflections and visual fixes for certain cinematics when viewed in 32:9 aspect ratio. This update also addresses a bug that could cause crashes when entering minigames on some hardware configurations.

After last week's first patch, another update is now live for Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered. This patch contains dozens of fixes and improvements and includes a couple of brand-new features. You may need to restart Steam to see this update.
Since we launched the game, we have seen many requests for the addition of a sharpness slider. With this update, we bring you not one, but two of them. In the Display menu you can now use a sharpness slider when NVIDIA DLSS or AMD FSR 2.0 is activated. You can finetune the sharpness for each upscaling technique to taste in ten different steps.
In the Graphics menu you will also find a Sharpness slider, that works independently from the sharpness slider for upscaling. This slider controls the in-game sharpness, like the sharpness slider that was already available in Photo Mode. When using DLSS or FSR 2.0, you can combine both sliders.
The third new feature is an option to force the aspect ratio of the game to values like 32:9 or 21:9 on any screen. This gives all players the possibility to experience Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered in ultrawide aspect ratios.
Release Notes
- Added sharpness sliders for NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR 2.0 upscaling.
- Added a sharpness slider that controls in-game sharpness.
- Added an option to force the aspect ratio to 32:9, 21:9, etc.

Ray-tracing is disabled when hardware or drivers are not compatible, or when the DirectX 12 Agility SDK is not functional. We have seen some reports of users that indicate this SDK is not working for them. We are investigating this issue.
- Some players cannot progress during the Spider-Hack Mission.
This is a frame rate related bug that only occurs when well above 60 FPS. While we work on a fix, we have a workaround in place. Restart the latest checkpoint, go to the Graphics Menu, set the game to Exclusive Fullscreen and the Refresh Rate to 60Hz. You should now be able to progress. Afterwards you can switch back to your preferred settings.
