Official update history
We're excited to announce the availability of AMD FSR 3.1 in Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered. We have been working closely with AMD to incorporate this performance-enhancing technology, which can be used with recent graphics cards from AMD, Intel and NVIDIA.
AMD FSR 3.1 includes frame generation and offers improved FSR upscaling quality. It also allows you to use AMD FSR frame generation in combination with any upscaling technology available in the game for your graphics card.
AMD FSR 3.1 also includes a Native AA option that applies high quality anti-aliasing without upscaling, for improved image quality. To enable this option, set Upscaling Method to Off and select AMD FSR 3 Native AA from the anti-aliasing options. This setting can be used in combination with or without frame generation.
This patch also updates Intel XeSS to version 1.3. This version introduces improvements in upscaling image quality, more quality options and includes a Native AA anti-aliasing option.
Patch Notes v3.618.0.0
- Added AMD FSR 3.1 with frame generation and Native AA options.
- Updated Intel XeSS to version 1.3 with new XeSS Native AA option.
- The game can now be started from the launcher with a controller.
- Stability improvements.

This update for Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered contains various optimizations and fixes, based on player feedback. We have made changes to improve CPU performance on both Intel Core and AMD Ryzen processors with high physical core counts. This affects AMD Ryzen 7 and Ryzen 9 processors and Intel Core i7 and i9 processors (11th generation and older). We made specific changes to how the game uses the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X and Ryzen 9 7900X processors, to improve performance on systems with these new CPUs.
This patch also includes a change to prevent the game from temporarily freezing while loading textures on certain systems. This behavior could occur at low frame rates in the last two versions of the game. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
We have also fixed a buffer overflow, aimed at addressing crashes to desktop that could occur for some players on Windows 11 systems after loading a save game or retrying a challenge.
Thank you for all your feedback and contributions that helped us improve the game.
Patch Notes
- Optimizations for AMD Ryzen and Intel Core CPUs with high core counts.
- Addressed an issue that could cause temporary freezes at low frame rates.
- Fixed a buffer overflow that could cause crashes for some players on Windows 11.
- Improved performance and reduced memory usage on systems with less than 3GB available video memory in combination with more than 8GB system memory.
- Fixed a crash that could occur on Steam Deck when changing settings.

Shortly after the launch of this update we temporarily halted the rollout, due to a false positive with Windows Defender for some users. We have resolved the issue and the update is available again. To make sure you have the latest version, please restart Steam. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
This patch for Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered contains primarily stability improvements. We have been monitoring game stability based on reports coming in and have identified a number of problems which this patch will address. There are a few other smaller updates including some extra improvements for ultra-wide support in here as well.
Patch Notes
- Fixes for a variety of stability improvements based on your reports.
- Fixed an issue where the sides of the screen could incorrectly be blurred when using 32:9 aspect ratio.
- Fixed an issue where radio waveforms would not always render in the correct location when using wide aspect ratios.
- Various other minor improvements and optimizations.

This patch for Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered contains a couple of new features and bugfixes. We have enabled NVIDIA Reflex for all GPUs that support this feature. The Display menu now contains a Contrast slider that you can use to tune the contrast of the game to taste. We have also added a HDR Paper White slider, so you can finetune HDR settings. With this update we also address visual issues with shadows and sunlight that could occur on certain AMD GPUs.
We improved the way the game handles actions that require two controller buttons to be pressed at the same time, like Finishers. This change is made to address reports from players about Finishers not being triggered instantly. We have not been able to reproduce this issue, but we already have implemented the change in Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales and we believe this will result in improvements in Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered. If you experienced issues with Finishers before, please let us know if this update is an improvement.

- Added NVIDIA Reflex support for all compatible GPUs.
- Added a Contrast slider.
- Added a HDR Paper White slider.
- Improved the way Finishers and other two button actions are handled.
- Addressed visual bugs with shadows and sunlight that could occur with certain AMD Radeon GPUs
- Fixed a bug that could cause image corruption on Intel ARC GPUs when using Dynamic Resolution Scaling.
- Stability improvements and optimizations.

This update contains a fix for an issue that was introduced with the patch we released on the 12th of October. Changes made in that version could result in GPU crashes on systems with Windows 10 build 19042 (20H2) and older. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Release Notes
- Reverted a change that could cause a GPU crash on startup on older Windows 10 versions.
For other issues we are currently tracking or investigating, please refer to our Known Issues. If you encounter any of these problems, please contact support to help us gather more data and insights.
Today we are adding support for NVIDIA DLSS 3 to Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered. This technology for GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs combines DLSS Super Resolution, DLSS Frame Generation and NVIDIA Reflex to boost your frame rate. We also plan to make latency reducing technology NVIDIA Reflex available to other RTX GPU users with a future patch.
Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling must be activated in Windows to use DLSS Frame Generation. In Windows 11, this option is turned on by default. To enable this feature in Windows 10, press the Windows key on your keyboard, type Graphics settings and press enter. This opens the Graphics settings menu. Here you can enable Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling. A restart is required to activate the feature.
This update also addresses an issue that would make cutscenes in the game slow down when no audio device was detected, or when an audio device was removed. The patch also contains a fix for a crash that could occur on some hardware configurations when using Very High ray-tracing settings.
