Beseech the imperial court, marshal your own forces, employ the arts of diplomacy, or even sow discord and coax the rebels to surrender, all in the pursuit of quelling the rebellion. Triumph, and the rewards of glory and titles await; falter, and clandestine alliances may sway the balance of power.

Official update history
This update mainly serves as the final polish for Version II: Echoes in History. Our primary focus has been on improving overall performance and gameplay experience. Details are as follows:
1. Performance Optimization
Significant effort has been devoted to improving game performance. The new version delivers noticeable improvements, with higher frame rates in most scenarios. (Extreme cases may still be affected, such as saves with exceptionally large clans of over a thousand members.)
2. One-Click Residence Assignment
Added a new feature that allows you to assign residences to all adult clan members with a single click. After entering an estate, open the management panel and select “Assign All Clan Members to Residence.” This will automatically assign all adult members without housing to any vacant main chambers within the estate.
3. News Display Settings
Added display settings for the News. Players can now choose whether to show interactive and non-interactive events.
- When no events are displayed, a “Display Settings” button will appear on the News.
- You can also adjust these settings from the top of any event panel.
4. New Clan Filter Option
Added a new filter in the clan management panel: Filter by whether a member currently has an active event, making it easier to track and manage ongoing situations.
5. Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where clan members with the Sterile trait could still become pregnant after consuming Passion Pills.
- Fixed an exploit where items could be farmed infinitely while clearing weeds.
- Fixed an issue where the County Chief Censor could be dismissed by a hostile Provincial Governor. Only the Imperial Chief Censor now has the authority to do so.
- Fixed an issue where some clan members would not appear for Bestow Marriage.
- Fixed an issue where, in rare cases, clan members from other families would not age.
- Fixed inconsistencies in certain UI logic.
- Fixed unreasonable event frequency in some cases (e.g., excessive resource demands from the Empire).
- Fixed various text errors and overflow issues.
- Fixed an issue where, when appointing officials, selecting the option for members of your own clan could sometimes display members from other families.
- Fixed an issue where clan members could occasionally disappear and were not recorded in the Family Chronicle or burial list.
- Fixed an issue where reinforcement requests from the empire would not register correctly, even when the required number of troops had already been assigned.
- Fixed an issue where players would receive a notification that their estate was raided when an unowned estate (not belonging to the player's clan) was attacked by rebels.
1. Added a large number of royal court events.
In the palace scene, maids, guards, eunuchs, and other attendants now have a chance to trigger story events. These include palace secrets, hidden conflicts among royal family members, and amusing anecdotes from palace life. Players can respond to these events by ordering palace staff to report secrets or sending censors to impeach royal family members. (If the player’s family already belongs to the imperial clan, the interaction will directly allow punishment.) This adds new ways for players to participate in royal court power struggles.
2. Added a large number of Vassal King events.
When opening the Vassal King Palace interface on the map, players now have a chance to encounter various events related to Vassal Kings. Through these events, players can interact with them to improve relationships, or have censors impeach and punish them.
3. Added a large number of family events.
In the residence scene, family members and servants now have a chance to trigger events. These may include rumors from the streets, amusing family stories, or expressions of expectations, reflections, or dissatisfaction from family members, adding a stronger sense of life to the characters. Players can directly intervene in some of these events.
4. Added a large number of farm events.
In the farm scene, farmers now have a chance to trigger events. These include stories about family members’ activities on the farm, interesting neighborhood happenings, and encounters with talented young farmers who can be recruited as retainers. Players may even hear rumors about hidden treasure caves. Some events allow direct player interaction.
(The triggering of the above story events is closely related to the structure of family members, royal members, and other characters. In some cases, the probability of certain events occurring may be relatively low (for example, when the character structure is relatively simple, when there are no conditions for internal conflicts, or when marital relationships are harmonious), and some events may not be triggered at all. In addition, events with greater impact also have relatively lower trigger rates. Therefore, a longer period of gameplay is required to experience the full range of events..)
5. Expanded the variety of items gifted by traveling physicians in the fiefdom.
6. Added more tooltips and hints in certain UI interfaces to help players better understand game functions.
7. Fixed a bug where occasionally the same location could be selected twice when requesting the court to dispatch troops.
8. Fixed a bug where the Life Records panel in the management interface sometimes could not be dragged to view the full content.
9. Fixed a bug where undoing building demolition via shortcut key did not deduct the required ingots.
10. Fixed a bug where extinct families could still be invited to the player family’s banquet.
11. Fixed a bug where raiding farms belonging to extinct families would still reduce relationship values.
12. Fixed several bugs involving unreasonable situations in other family events.
13. Fixed a bug where the number of soldiers recruited in counties could be set to 0.
14. Fixed several UI display errors.
15. Fixed several text errors and display issues.
16. Fixed a bug where the cost was calculated incorrectly when family members went on study trips.
1. Fixed an issue where the refresh timing for Administrative Conduct Reviews and Fiscal Audits occurred in December instead of January.
2. Fixed a bug in fief events where the amount of debt owed by wandering mystics was set to zero.
3. Fixed incorrect numerical values in certain fief events.
4. Fixed an issue in the official banquet feature where selectable retainers for gifting could appear with incorrect genders.
1. Added a large number of storyline events for other noble clans.
When visiting other clans, players have a chance to encounter various ongoing events. Most events are interactive, while a small number are non-interactive. By participating in these events, players can deepen interactions with other clans and even influence relationships between them.
Examples include private troop rebellions, internal scandals, or disputes between clans joined through marriage. Events are displayed at the bottom of the other clan’s panel and can be interacted with by clicking.
The protagonists of these events are members of the clan whom the player can meet during visits, meaning the more members you encounter, the higher the chance of triggering events.
2. Introduced official conflict mechanics in the court system.
Conflicts may arise between superiors and subordinates or among colleagues. Players can choose to instigate or mediate these disputes. Successfully instigating a conflict will cause one official to resign without affecting their relationship with the player.
Official conflict events may appear at the bottom of city panels and can be clicked to interact.
3. Added the “Review Administrative Conduct” feature to prefectural cities.
If a clan member serves as a Censor, players may review the administrative conduct of each prefecture once per year. If misconduct cases are discovered, they can be directly reported to the emperor.
A large number of administrative cases have been added. This feature can be accessed from the prefectural city panel.
4. Added numerous “Public and Court Opinion” events to the court system.
These events may appear at the bottom of city panels. Players can choose to amplify or suppress public opinion.
Successfully amplifying public opinion will result in the removal of the event’s main official from office without affecting their relationship with the player.
5. Divided responsibilities among the four Censor positions in the capital.
Each Censor is now responsible for overseeing administrative conduct in three prefectures, as well as appointing Prefectural Censors.
Specific jurisdictions can be viewed by hovering over the official title in the capital panel.
6. Added the ability to host banquets for fellow officials.
If a clan member holds an official position in a location, the player may host one banquet per month. During banquets, officials may raise various requests; fulfilling them increases relationship values.
This resolves the issue in previous versions where interaction with officials from other clans was difficult.
7. Centralized the Ministry of Revenue’s fiscal audits of prefectures and counties at the prefectural level.
Players no longer need to audit each county individually. Audit frequency has also been adjusted to once per year.
8. Added more fief-related events, including civilian disputes and strange or mysterious tales. Players may even obtain rare items from these events.
9. Added interesting dialogue for the ghosts of deceased clan members in graveyards.
There is also a chance to obtain rare items from these spirits.
10. Added the “National Chronicle” system.
This feature records major national events throughout the game, such as territorial recoveries, imperial successions, deposition or appointment of crown princes, reduction of feudal kings, clan rebellions, and regional uprisings.
The National Chronicle can be accessed via “State Affairs” in the capital panel.
Please note: loading earlier saves may cause inaccuracies in the Chronicle. Players may delete incorrect records if a clan member serves as Minister of Rites. Events prior to this update cannot be recorded retroactively.
11. Fixed an issue where some text overlapped.
12. Fixed a rare bug where clan members sent on expeditions could not return.
13. Fixed an issue where stable capacity would occasionally decrease without reason.
14. Fixed multiple text-related errors.
15. Fixed display issues with certain buildings.
16. Fixed several incorrect numerical values.
17. Fixed a gender-related bug when marrying or recruiting royal family members.
18. Fixed an issue where the Crown Princess did not become Empress when the Crown Prince ascended the throne.
19. Fixed a bug where all Imperial Consorts became Empresses after the Retired Emperor seized power.
