About the Game

Years after the events of the prequel INDUSTRIA, Nora is stuck in a parallel dimension, far away from home. Trapped between machine-built walls, she survives alone in an abandoned chapel near the coast.
Just before she can evade the hostile parallel dimension and return home to 1989 East-Berlin, a chain of unforeseen consequences pull her back into the pulsating heart of the artificial intelligence ATLAS.
Nora soon comes to the realization that she cannot evade her past and must face the haunting responsibility that lies within it – her involvement in the creation of the uncontrollable A.I.

Immersive, slow paced gameplay: Physics-based interaction, crafting and a diegetic inventory ground the gameplay in the game environments
A hero's journey: A narrative FPS to its core, where you'll meet memorable characters and progress through a touching story
Unique setting: Industrial decay in a vast boreal nature meets otherworldly sprawling machine structures
Upgradable weapons: Upgrade five weapons with various attachments like silencers, extended magazines or special attacks
Robot body horror: Vivid machine oil spilling and body dismemberment lead to intense firefights
Compact Indie Experience: A 4-6 hour long filler free journey made by a passionate small indie team
Cinematic audio: Full voiceover, dynamic music and detailed sound design are merged together by real-time audio reflection through Wwise
Next-gen visuals: Carefully crafted assets are empowered by Unreal Engine 5's fully dynamic lighting engine Lumen

Steam Patch Notes
Official update history
Hey everyone,
this is Update 5 (1.1.2). Like we wrote in Update 4, Update 5 was supposed to be the first bigger content update. However we decided to do a small update first, as we finally fixed the crashes on AMD GPU`s in DX12 mode.
Patchnotes 1.1.2
Fixed Crashes in DX12 on AMD GPU`s in various areas of the game
Fixed Steam Cloud not working correctly (also for INDUSTRIA 1)
Fixed Shader Compilation compiling on every game launch
PLEASE NOTE:
We recompiled all shaders and deleted old outdated shader chaches, which results in a fresh shader cache for the whole game. This was needed to fix the crashes on AMD GPU`s in DX12 mode. If you get this update and play, you will have a longer black screen on startup, as well as a full recompile of all shaders. From here on though, you will never see the shader compile screen again, as we added a unique save file to your save file directory. If you ever wish to recompile shaders, you can do so by deleting this special shader compiler save file in the following directory:
\\Users\\USERNAME\\AppData\\Local\\Industria_2\\Saved\\SaveGames
The file in question is Save_ShaderCompilation.sav . From here on, we will only do recompiles for everyone when substantial content changes have been made.
UPCOMING:
Update 6 will now actually be the first content update. Here are a few things we are focusing on behind the scenes:
Missing Audio for various cutscenes
Excessive RAM usage
Resolution setup (cant use windowed mode)
Unfinished environment art in Chapter 3
Audio clipping caused by faulty Wwise version
We cant wait to drop the next one. For this one we will need a little bit longer, as we will have to do more destructive changes, which in turn need longer testing. If you want to be part of the testing community, feel free to join our Discord.
See you next time!
Hey everyone,
today we bring you update 4 (version 1.1.12).
Patchnotes 1.1.12
Fixed Save Bug in Langebbe (When facing the 3rd hollow (who spawns by smashing the door open), saving in the middle of the encounter before he spawns will brick the game)
Execute key was hardcoded to "E", now has its own binding in keybind menue under "Action", includes menue confirm too
Fixed Papermill Elevator Save bug (all elevators were not correctly saving in the whole game)
Bottle Throw Tutorial had a heybind bug that stopped players being able to LMB
Fixed the pullable crate in Outer Rings (CH3) to disable character control
Fixed Infinite Pistol Reload Bug
Fixed elevators in Main Shaft and Bugpit resetting ammo and removing items (save bug)
Fixed movement speed while crouched being walk speed by reloading while crouched
Fixed rebinding HipFire (Iron Sights) not successfully rebinding keys
Fixed Inventory not being openable while crouching
Fixed Water Flowing sound in Papermill return still being there although canal being dry
Added prompt on Marlene in Bossfight against Walter after phase 2, preventing players from thinking being softlocked
Fixed Walter Robot getting stuck on debris on defeat
Fixed Fuses staying in inventory when they should be removed after using them
Fixed Nav Mesh in Innercity Level (Marlene & enemies we not moving)
Added prompt when attempting to open inventory while not having it yet (in Langebbe intro)
Fixed an issue where you couldnt swap weapons directly with each other in inventory
Fixed an issue where weapons would get stuck in lowered/hip mode during combat (triggered by reloading while weapon was full)
Fixed Audio pop in of forest ambiance in Cannery map (hill slope)
Fixed missing audio portals in various maps which resulted in dialouge and enemy sounds not being audible when on other side of door/gate
Removed Achievements "Hoarder" and "Bookworm", as they were too frustrating for players to get and sometimes didnt fire correctly
KNOWN ISSUES:
STILL PERSISTING: Crashes in DX12 mode in Chapter 1 (Cannery Level) and Chapter 2 (Suburbs level load) (especially, if not only, on AMD hardware)
Hollow executions can rarely put Nora through floor
Windowed and Borderless Windowed resolution options dont properly initiate
For update 5 we will focus on the first bigger content changes, such as environment art, missing sound design and the likes. This will take a little longer than the patches so far, as we will do more destructive changes in the levels (especially Chapter 3). All of those need to be tested before we can put them live, so we hope you understand the next update will take a little longer. If we do find the permanent fix for the DX12 crashes, we will definitely patch that beforehand though.
As always, thank you for playing and keep the feedback coming, we are reading everything.

Hey everyone,
This is patch 1.1.0 where we focused on getting the very annoying keybind issues resolved, where players didnt see keybinds they added and/or a N/A button prompt on tutorials etc.
Patchnotes 1.1.0
New keybinds menu which supports and displays all key inputs (please note international keyboard layouts will be getting a default preset later)
In-game key prompts now show the correct inputs regardless or localisation
Various UIs have been updated to support additional inputs (but please note some prompts do not yet update at runtime)
In-game tutorials now correctly display new keybind options
Removed un-used inputs from the keybinds menu (Lean left/right)
Fixed an issue causing FSR Frame Interpolation to be always on and also added an additional setting to allow players to enable/disable as required
Added additional code to prevent Ray Tracing from being enabled on systems that do not support it
Fixed an issue preventing the achievement 'Nobody Blames You' from being awarded
Fixed an issue with the options menu that meant it would briefly display 'invalid option' when navigating and opening
Fixed an inverted movement gate in Chapter 2 Inner City
Fixed various view into out of bounds
Some minor level polish after the Brute Fight
KNOWN ISSUES:
Crashes in DX12 mode in Chapter 1 (Cannery Level) and Chapter 2 (Suburbs level load) (especially, if not only, on AMD hardware)
Crashes on Startup and/or during shader compilation (presumably DX12 & AMD)
-> On startup, choose DX11 (Performance Mode) in the pop up (alternatively add -dx11 into the launch options in the game properties on Steam)
Save Bug in Papermill, elevator wont save when saving before using it, resulting in a softlock when loading that save
Save Bug in Langebbe where a door doesnt crash open from a Hollow, preventing game progress
Modulator in Wall Level can be walked by, resulting in a softlock as the elevator cant be called down again
Saves from Balstad Outskirts Level load the chapter start instead of the actual save location. This can result in the inventory not being openable/still locked from the previous level
The crosshair and white dot appears and reappears in specific circumstances
+ various other issues we will focus at later stages
In the next patch we want to focus on the DX12 crashes, as well as the first bigger content update.
Thank you for playing and sending feedback, this is incredibly helpful!

And another one, as we get more feedback in.
Patchnotes 1.0.91:
fixed a hole in Chapter 2 that could get players softlocked
fixed tools being destroyed as a result of the fuse puzzle
fixed various items being destroyed in the world after loading save games
fixed a climb section in Chapter 3 (Outer Rings) being very easily missable
This time, you should properly only get a small update in file size.
See you in the next one!

Hey everyone. We hear your feedback loud clear. Here is the first of many upcoming hotfixes and updates.
This patch will be several GB large, as we are restructuring the games content framework to optimize for quicker patching to Steam. The following patches will actually correspond to the actual updated game files we push live.
If you have already placed the wheel and/or the belt into the lift mechanism (and the elevator didnt power up), you will need to load a save before you did that.
Patchnotes 1.0.9:
fixed softlock bug in Chapter 3
increased brightness of the flashlight
various smaller fixes
Next up is stability issues (crashes on DX12), keybinds and general polishing in various parts of the game.

Hi, everyone!
INDUSTRIA 2 is finally here. And with it the mandatory launch trailer:
[dynamiclink href="https://youtu.be/ju-EqJ_S_Q8"]
As we mentioned in our previous update post, we want to handle things transparently when it comes to our projects and insights into the development process behind those. And therefore, we want to give you a general overview of INDUSTRIA 2 before you make your final decision, to honor your time, patience, and support.
So without further ado, this is INDUSTRIA 2 in a nutshell:
A single-player, 3D, narrative FPS adventure.
Slow-paced and immersive gameplay.
The second chapter in Nora’s journey, years after the events of INDUSTRIA: Trapped between machine-built walls in a parallel dimension, Nora is trying to survive and face the consequences of her own past.
Playtime is approximately 5 to 7 hours.
20 levels in total.
9 different types of enemies (including 2 bosses).
6 weapons, including: axe, pistol, revolver, SMG, rifle, and shotgun.
3 to 5 different weapon upgrades/attachements each, including:
Damage increases
Reload speed
Ammunition capacity
Rate of fire
13 tools/supportive items.
And for you completionists, there is a total of:
10 crafting recipes
28 notes
13 collectables
4 difficulty levels, to customize your gameplay experience.
Flexible keybinds for keyboard and controller; for compliance reasons, we will have to patch in some regional limitations. We’ll keep you posted on that.
Well, that’s INDUSTRIA 2, everyone! We really hope that we could do the project justice in your eyes. Therefore, we’ll be listening closely to your input and feedback to make sure that INDUSTRIA 2 becomes a worthy sequel to INDUSTRIA - a project that started as an idea in a bunch of small bedrooms …
And once again, from the bottom of our hearts: Thank you for your patience and support on the long journey of bringing INDUSTRIA 2 to life. 🫶
All the best, and see you in Nordvold!
David & the bleakmill team
