About the Game
The Classrooms
The Classrooms is a procedural, liminal-space, found-footage, survival horror game. In 1996, Robert Chen took his VHS camcorder to the newly condemned local public school to investigate the disappearances of multiple students, including his younger sister. However, shortly after entering the premises, he finds himself lost in a senseless and seemingly infinite maze of halls and classrooms. Discover the contents of the tape he left behind. Explore The Classrooms and discover the various anomalies it contains; from malicious entities to harmless oddities. Watch out for the various entities that reside within the world of The Classrooms. Entities range from harmless to extremely dangerous, thorough investigation into their various properties will be paramount if one wishes to survive. Every entity has a deep and unique set of mechanics that differentiates it from all others.Features
- Proximity Voice: Sound from your input device affects the game world. Making loud noise can reveal your location to certain entities, but maybe you can use your voice to your advantage.
- Inventory: Find and use various different types of items, codex entries, keys, and equipment. The items available to you might not be the same items available to another.
- Entities: Discover and survive the unique mechanics of each of the entities.
Development Roadmap
We are dedicated to improving the game both in breadth and depth. The procedural levels will be given more details and combinations, and new anomalies and entities will be added as development continues. This will allow for many new gameplay situations to arise. Hello, Classrooms players! Patch 0.7.0.564 is here with focused improvements, bug fixes, and polish to enhance your experience in the game. This update refines gameplay, visuals, and level generation while addressing key issues. Here’s what’s new:
Gameplay Improvements
Inventory & Items: Puzzle Bags now give 20 pieces. Puzzle pieces are easier to collect. Added a backpack upgrade level for 3 additional inventory slots. Fixed equipped items not unequipping when manipulating interactable objects.
Kidrooms Enhancements: Disabled entity spawn points in the Kidrooms hub and the Piano Room. Solving the Piano now teleports Small Dog to the Piano Room entrance. Increased the number of glass fragments for the giant reinforced glass in the Kidrooms Piano Room.
Custom Mode: Fixed abilities not working on some entities and resolved an issue where Custom Mode unlocked before completing Kidrooms.
Simon Says: Adjusted Simon’s volume and updated the AudioCue for the start button for a smoother experience.
Sling Shot Room: Added a box collider to the floor for proper physics interactions.
Deodorant Fix: Fixed Deodorant not protecting against becoming stinky.
Dog Enhancements
Big Dog Tuning: Fixed occasionally getting stuck on biscuit. Lowered the ragdoll speed threshold from 100% to 98%
Fur Effects: Implemented Fur Quality Levels and added Fur Effects separately from Hair Effects. Disabled fur movement to reduce black flickering.
Dog Death Cutscenes: Major improvements to dog kill timelinesincluding a new rear dog death animation and refined noise and distance handling for a less jarring experience.
Level & Environment
All levels should generate MUCH faster, especially Kidrooms
Technical & Stability
Audio Fixes: Fixed the start scream
Settings: Fixed In-Game settings scaling differently than the Main Menu. Added an option to disable Fast Level Generation (Fast generation is unnoticeably less random)
Fixed a rebinding softlock issue.
Fixed ??? no longer looks at you
Other Changes
Flashlight UI: Adjusted the flashlight position to align better with the battery UI.

Hello, The Classrooms players! We're excited to roll out Patch 0.7.0.556, packed with tweaks, fixes, and improvements to make your adventures smoother and more thrilling. Here’s what’s new in this update:
Gameplay Improvements
Biscuits: Biscuits are added as an Arcade Prize for 75 tickets. The biscuit spawn rate has also been increased in The Kidrooms
Color Mini Game Tweaks: position has been adjusted to avoid awkward corner spawns, and the reward spawn position is now easier to grab.
Puzzle Piece Polish: The voice line no longer shows a text tip covering how many pieces you picked up, and you’re capped at picking up 176 puzzle pieces to avoid wasting inventory slots. Fixed the Puzzle Piece description for clarity.
Item Management: Fixed an issue where equipped items wouldn’t disappear when dropped. Fixed various item descriptions.
Dog Enhancements
Behavior Fixes: Big Dog should no longer get stuck. No longer gets stuck crawling after transforming in a vent.
Biscuits: Big Dog also eats biscuits now but they are less effective
Anger: Dog anger can now go below 0 so feeding a biscuit right away isn't wasteful
Ragdoll Tweaks: Increased the ragdoll speed threshold, especially Super form.
Visual Upgrades: Added an eating animation for Big Dog, improved fur materials with better shading. Low-quality fur now kicks in when hair effects are disabled.
Reinforced Glass: Super Dog breaks glass more reliably.
Death Animations: Improved the dog crawling death cutscene for a less jarring experience.
Level & Environment Fixes
Tile Corrections: Fixed a floor collider in the Kidrooms hub and resolved a bathroom tile blocking navigation. Adjusted Lamp to prevent light leaks.
PlayRooms Improvement: Tweaked the FunRoom wander point so entities avoid hiding spots.
Prop Fixes: Replaced an incorrect TV prop and moved the shark from the middle of Piano room for better navigation.
Audio Enhancements: Added more ambient music.
Technical & Stability
Pathfinding Upgrades: Improved pathfinding for smoother entity movement and fixed a tile blocking navigation.
Cloud Save: Writes to local save before loading the next level to avoid losing progress if the Game is closed during loading.
Other Fixes:
Trampoline Fix: Trampolines are finally working as intended after multiple tweaks.
Resolved Smiley not draining flashlight.
Fixed piano false positives.
Prevented Dead Fuse in Playrooms from disappearing.
Fixed a typo in the whistle document.
Ensured the library computer lab glass is breakable.
Known Issues
Black Flickering
Some users experience their screen flickering black when looking at the dog. This can be mitigated by using TAA and disabling Advanced Lens Effects. As a last resort, Hair Effects can be turned off. A proper fix is still under investigation.
