About the Game
Mine rocks!
Keep on Mining! is a simple incremental game. Hover your cursor over rocks to automatically mine them. Any rock inside the mining area will spawn pickaxes that mine for you!
Gather materials!
Mined rocks drop ores, which are crafted into bars. There is a variety of different material rocks to be mined!
The skill tree!
Spend your material bars to unlock upgrades inside the skill tree. These upgrades permanently boost your stats, letting you mine rocks with more power!
Craft pickaxes!
Use different materials to craft new pickaxes. Each new pickaxe has better stats, helping you mine faster and hit harder!
Talent cards!
Every time you level up, you earn a talent point. Spend talent points to reveal 3 random talent cards — pick one to keep! Choosing a card increases the talent level, but also increases rock HP.
The Mine!
Once you unlock the mine, it will automatically mine rocks and instantly craft bars for you. The Mine is the idle mechanic of Keep on Mining!

There has been a lot of reports of a bug that causes rocks to not be mined. The rocks would be mined normally in the beginning but as you progress the pickaxes would start to hit the rocks without dealing damage.
This bug has now been fixed.
You might be wondering what caused this bug. Well, it was the "It's Hammer Time" talent upgrade. When a pickaxe would spawn as a hammer, which is a 0.4% chance, the collider would change. The next time this pickaxe would spawn, the collider would not reset, which means it would be a normal pickaxe with a wrong collider. This explains why it takes some time before this bug is noticeable and why it just get's worse and worse as you play.

-Lowered the price of the King’s companion.
-Fixed a bug where if you: 1. Have revealed the talent cards. 2. Close the game. 3. Reset the game in the main menu. 4. When you go back to the talents tabs, the 3 cards that block the talent cards will not show, which means that the first talent card would be free.
-Fixed a bug where if you use an auto clicker on the endless upgrades, there is a chance to purchase 2 upgrades at the same time, resulting in the total bars numbers going into the minus.
-Big lag freeze bug fix: This one was interesting. There was a bug that would appear once a mining session is done. The game would freeze for a slight moment and the “Mining session done!” frame animation would not play, it would only appear after a short while. The Gold Ring artifact was the cause of this. The Gold Ring makes it so that for every mined ore, it has a chance of only using 1 ore to craft 1 bar. That means once the player has gotten far into the game and mines 1M+ ores in one mining session, each ore will execute some code. That means if the player mines a total of 100 million ores, the code will be executed 100 million times AND if a D100 rolls 1, 10 or 100, then the code will be executed 500 MILLION TIMES! I’m not sure how my game never crashed from this.
A note about the steam deck version!
So there has been some reports of the steam cloud not working properly on steam deck and this is something that I am aware of. Before release I spent a lot of hours trying to get this fixed but with no success. The steam cloud works from PC to PC, PC to Steam Deck but not from Steam Deck to PC. So if you play it on PC, then Steam Deck, it should save over. But if you play it on steam deck and then on your PC, it does not save over.
I have talked to a lot of game developers who got this working and I have even set up the steam cloud exactly the same way as them but for some reason it does not want to work. I will continue with trying to get it working but I thought I might make an announcement about this just as an heads up for players who are considering playing it on steam deck.
However, the game is playable on steam deck, so if you are just planning on playing in steam deck, then go ahead! Please not that the games Steam Deck Compatibility Review is set to "Playable" and not "Verified." There are some in-game texts that shows PC controls and not Steam Deck controls and some text might be a bit small to read.

This update introduces the Endless Upgrades.
Once all of the skill tree upgrades has been purchased, 8 upgrades will appear at the top of the skill tree. These upgrades can be continuously purchased and the price of each upgrade will increase each time it is purchased. These upgrades will upgrade 4 core stats, Ore Value, XP Increase, Pickaxe Stats and 2X double ore/XP chance. There is 1 upgrade for each of the 8 different materials, this means that each material has a use once the game has been completed.
Also did some minor changes.
-When switching between tabs, the skill tree screen will stay at the same position as where you left it. It will only get set to the middle when pressing play in the main menu and pressing the UPGRADE button after a mining session is done.
-Fixed an issue with some translated text. Once there are less than 3 talent cards left, grey cards will appear with some text that tells the player if there are only 2, 1 or no more talent cards left. This text did not change from English when changing language.
-Fixed some minor bugs.

-Midas Touch appear chance from 15% to 20%
-Gilded Treasure ore spawn count from 40 to 50.
-Regular chest spawn chance from 0.5% to 0.6%.
-Made the campfire bigger. Also increases the collider size.
-Energy Drinker trigger chance from 6% to 7%.
-Inflate Burst now has the same trigger chance and effect time (3 sec) as Energy Drinker.
-Improved X Marks The Spot and the Explorer talent card.
-I also did some balancing on a few skill tree upgrade prices. Slightly increased a few and slightly decreased a few prices.

-Fixed a bug related to the Shape Shifter and the Inflate Burst talent. The Inflate Burst would only affect the circle UNLESS you have purchased the In and Out skill tree upgrade.
-Fixed a bug where if you only have 1 or 2 talent cards left, exit the game, then when you open the game and try to select a talent card, the talent card cannot be selected and you are not able to press on anything except the settings and main menu.

So it's only been a little more than 24 hours since release but the game has already exceeded my expectations! I want to thank everyone who ended up purchasing it, wishlisting it or just simply taking an interest in the game!
So what's next? I will of course continue to fix any reported bugs and add some QOL if needed AND perhaps tweak the balance a bit. But when it comes to content updates, I have 1 on the horizon. As of right now I don't have any massive content updates planned since I very much want this game to be a short and sweet experience, but I have decided that I will at least make an update that adds some stuff for players who would like to continue to play the game after it's been completed. I can only tell you that as of right now, I am planning on adding some endless upgrades once the final skill tree upgrade has been purchased. This will make the game "endless," and is aimed at being for players who would like to grind it a little longer. I will most likely add some more stuff as well but I have not decided on everything.
You can comment ideas here but I cannot promise that I will add all your suggestions :)
