About the Game
My SuperMarket is a third-person simulation game in which you, as a member of a team of up to 4 people, own a supermarket in the middle of the city.
It is your responsibility to manage the supermarket, organize and serve the customers while expanding and making the most profit you can.

Quick hotfix for some game issues that would make the game unplayable.
🪲 Bugs Smashed
- Fixed a bug where employees would get stuck around the escalators in an eternal search for the dirt lost underneath.
- Fixed a bug where the game would crash right after loading a save due to the painting system.
- Fixed a problem where players (as clients) couldn't update employee task priorities.
- Fixed a bug where the price paid/displayed at the delivery kiosk was the buy price and not the sell price.
- Products with a higher price will not be ordered.
- Fixed a problem where the shopping cart was available in the store. This is something that will come in the future, but at the moment was available for purchase by mistake, opsi D:

First of all, I'm sorry for being "missing" for almost a month, but I had some other things that needed to be done, so unfortunately, I haven't dedicated the time I wanted to the development. I'll be back with consistent bi-weekly updates from now on. Expect a revamped employee system next, along with some new products coming to the supermarket!

Customers
- Customers now only enter a queue when they are close enough to the object they want to interact with. This should stop customers from being stuck around some objects while waiting for the queue to decrease. This was very noticeable once the player unlocked the second floor.
- Added a scroll bar to employees affected when changing the schedule of multiple employees at the same time.
Employees
- Employees will now check if the product they are placing on the shelf is the product wanted.
- Employees will no longer move to the store entrance when the save gets loaded.
- Added a new priority task list where the player can define the tasks the employee will do (lower priority, default, or higher priority) or not do.
- The UI on employee stats has new icons with tooltips.
Cash Register
- Products spawned no longer get destroyed if the player leaves the cash register. This means you can resume if you need to leave for some reason.
- If the player leaves the cash register after scanning the last product, it no longer stops the payment sequence.
- Employees can resume attending after the player leaves the cash register.
Delivery
- Delivery people's movement has been updated to avoid some wrong positioning.
Fridge
- Added a configuration option to the fridge.
Translations
- Improved some PT translations.
🪲 Bugs Smashed
- Fixed scale on the interaction key for gadgets and cloth shelves.
- Fixed Onion not moving at the cash register.
- Fixed an issue that was disconnecting players when some new product was unlocked.
- Fixed an issue where unlocking new products was not working properly when the language was Japanese.
- Fixed an issue where the wanted products assigned by the players were not saving properly. This was fixed both for shelves and storage racks.
- Fixed an issue where employees were not carrying the maximum products they could while moving products between storage racks.
- Fixed an issue where employees were placing products in the wrong assigned slot on the storage racks.
- Fixed an issue where delivery guys were placing products in random positions inside the storage rack.
- Fixed an issue where employees would carry “nothing” if the product they were supposed to pick from the storage rack was not available anymore.
- Fixed an issue where dirt on the floor had a weird metallic glow.
- Fixed an issue where the products that the player placed on the storage rack were not placed in the right assigned slot, resulting in two identical products assigned to two different slots.
- Fixed an issue where customers would get stuck if the player removed the self-service cash register while the customer was moving towards it.
- Fixed an issue with multiple dropdown lists where the last option was not visible.
- Fixed an issue where the enter/exit hours slider in bulk employee schedule change was not properly initialized with the correct open/close hours of the supermarket.

🔥 Nero Games
Today I'm bringing more bug fixes and two small additions to the game that will be expanded in the future.
Before the notes, there is currently a bug when loading your saved game that does not load everything properly and your store will be empty. No furniture, no products, not even lights.
I'm already trying to find the source of the problem and hopefully this will be fixed in this latest version (0.4.33).
If this happens to you, please don't exit to the menu, save the game, or even submit a bug report in-game. Close the game with ALT+F4 and send the save file directly to me via Discord or email to [email protected].
I'm currently releasing new versions every few hours to get to the bottom of this.

General
- The engine version has been updated to the latest version. This should help with some random crashes that some players were experiencing.
- Some optimizations have been made to improve performance. This should be especially noticeable as your store grows.
- The navigation system is now loaded from a pre-generated file instead of being calculated at runtime. This will improve performance and also the frame drops when loading the game or even expanding the store.
- Added missing translations for the banking application.
- Reputation drop is now halved. This doesn't mean it's easier to progress, but it's easier to keep your current reputation without dropping too much if things get out of hand.
- Now there is a real bus stop in front of the shop! 🚏
- Thieves now move much slower and have a different animation than other customers.
New Services
- There is a new application in the tablet called 'Services'. This will provide some services that you can hire to improve your store.
- The first service is 'Security'. With this service you will have 24/7 protection against thieves. Don't hit the cop outside... 👌
Currently, I've planned two more services. One is a delivery service, where you will have to handle some delivery packages to be handed to the deliveryman.
Another is a stock management tool, where you will be able to define a minimum stock for each product and they will be bought when the stock gets below the threshold.
Staff Training
- Now you can train your employees.
- You can choose which trait you want to train and the amount of time/money you want to spend. While the employee is training, he will be out of town 🏃♂️
Bug fixes
- Rain in the store? I called the plumber and he fixed it. 😎
- Fixed an issue where employees would get stuck against each other in the middle of the store.
- Money changes are now displayed in the bottom left corner in order instead of all at once.
- Fixed an issue where you could interact with the open/close button from outside the store.
- Fixed an issue with the store sound announcer after expanding the store.
- Fixed an issue where the player was disconnected when unlocking a store expansion.
As for the second floor store expansion, I'm still working on it! I just need more time to finish it!

Game Improvement
Employees
- For new saves, the staff application will now be unlocked upon earning the first reputation star.
- Employees got their scanning speed increased greatly. Most of the feedback I got was the cashier employees were pretty much useless early game, this should help! You should also notice bigger differences when employees with higher speed/attention work as cashiers.
- Employees resting time was greatly decreased. Now the average time will be around 45 minutes (in-game time) , possibly decreased by comfort furniture like the chair or the new brand couch 😎!
- Employees will now wander around the store while recovering their stamina (if no chair/couch) was found.
- Employees with 80 or more attention will not fail a single scan. Combined with speed they are guaranteed to get bonus tips from customers.
- Speed traits on employees are now taken into consideration when moving around the store. More speed equals faster movement.
- Employees will try to sort the products in hands into the existing stock of the storage racks. If no stock found, they will try to find a random available slot in a random one. If this also fails, they will drop the products in the street rack outside the store.
- Employees will now clean the closest dirt instead of random ones around the store.
- Employees will finish their current task (like grab paper, clean dirt or pick products) before going off duty.
Customers
- Customers will now take into consideration the distance to the trash bins when thinking if they should drop or not the papers in the ground.
- Runners will now tend to ignore the distance to trash bins (since they are busy people 😅)
- Thieves' chances are lowered. I understand those are frustrating to deal with since you need to drop whatever you are doing in order to chase them, and so, until we get some mechanism to fight them more effectively, the chance is dropped.
Object Placement
- When in Edit Mode, there is now a white indicator around the object that is currently selected. This will help some moments where you can't be really sure what you are moving or selling.
User Interface
- Now the commands to place, rotate, align and duplicate objects are shown when placing or moving objects.
- Little rework on the tutorial interface, now it's constantly showing the key to continue and also showing the key to skip the tutorial.
Others
- Change the default value, for new players, of the QOL option "Always Run" to true. This makes your character run always instead of the need of pressing SHIFT constantly...

Player
- Fixed issues where picking up bags or papers while standing on top of them would get the player stuck.
Customers
- Fixed an issue where the customers would be jumping from cash register to cash register because they were not accounting for the new queue size with his change.
- Fixed an issue where if the player would hit a thief inside and outside the store, would drop duplicate drop bags.
Employees
- Fixed issue where employees would not go off duty when times came.
- Fixed issue where employees would not go to work when the player skipped night.
- Fixed an issue where the customers would not spawn their products when attended by employees.
- Fixed an issue where products would get stuck at the cash register.
- Fixed an issue where products would be negative at the storage rack (Hopefully). Need feedback in case this happens again!
- Fixed an issue where employees' salaries would still be paid even if they were off-duty.
- Fixed an issue where employees would block the cash register while resting in the same place when no seat was found.
- Fixed an issue where employees would get stuck at their tasks or around the store.
- Fixed an issue where employees at maximum attention levels would still fail to scan products.
- Fixed an issue where if an employee tried to grab paper or a bag at the same time as another, he would get stuck in an animation loop.
- Fixed ghost employees on the client-side.
Language
- Fixed some missing characters in Chinese and Japanese.
Others
- Fixed an issue where trash papers were outside of the playable area, unreachable to the player.
- Fixed an issue where different keyboard layouts (such as QUERTZ) would not show the properly assigned keys in the settings.
- Fixed an issue where if the store was open 24H the save button was always visible, triggering/spamming the store schedule changed message constantly.

What's coming next week?
- Supermarket Control - Your supermarket, your way. You will be able to open/close the supermarket whenever you want. Need to take a break? Restock the shelves or clean the market? No problem! Close it and open it again when you are ready.
- Reputation Rework - Since you will be deciding when the store is open or closed, the current reputation system needs to be reworked. The reputation you earn will be constantly added to your rating based on individual customer feedback and experience.
- More Languages - Since the release of Early Access, many players have asked for additional languages. I'll try to bring more languages as possible!
Bug Fixes
Player
- Fixed an issue where the player could pickup the products that were on the carpet of the cash register. Consequently the player couldn't interact with the cash register.
- Rewrote the way boxes in player's hands works. Some bugs related to invisible crates and such are hopefully gone.
- Fixed an issue where the product inflation graph would disconnect the player when changing product views too quickly.
Customers
- Fixed an issue where customers wouldn't display the correct emote if no cash register was found.
- Fixed an issue where customers were spamming the bored emote when entering the store.
- Fixed an issue where customers spawned by the bus would have double skins on top of each other.
Cash Register
- Fixed an issue where the cash register was causing products to get stuck while at maximum queue.
- Fixed an issue where products being scanned weren't destroyed when the player left, causing some weird behavior.
- Cash registers now have an unlocked camera that allows the player to rotate it using the mouse.
Reputation
- Fixed an issue where all unlocked stars were displayed when reputation changes were 0%.
- Fixed a wrong formatted string on reputation after closing the store.
Game Improvement
- Customers will now display an emote when they get tired of waiting in line.
- Customers will now walk around until the checkout line moves.
- Fixed a problem related to the storage rack where it would drop the FPS.

Bug Fixes
- Player - Fixed an issue where a player could grab two trash papers or product bags in a single animation. This was causing problems and possible disconnects.
- Player - Fixed an issue where the player could spam the <Interact> key to keep the animation looping when grabbing something.
- Player - Fixed an issue where the player could interact with bags/trash at the same time as shelves or racks.
- Player - Fixed an issue where if the player interacted with an object too quickly, the interaction ring would get stuck permanently in the center of the screen.
- Saving System - Now the store will properly save every hour (or when night is skipped) when the store is closed. It doesn't save when the store is open, but that will change soon!
- Drop Bags - Fixed an issue where players couldn't grab the bag from the ground even after reloading the game.
- Drop Bags - Fixed an issue where drop bags would contain the wrong amount of items.
- Storage Rack - Fixed issue where connected client players would be disconnected when trying to place items that didn't fit on that specific storage rack.
- Rain - Fixed an issue where all clients were disconnected when rain started in a consecutive loaded game.
- Reputation - Fixed an issue where daily reputation would be greater than 2.5%. This will be fixed soon when players start opening/closing the store whenever they want.
- Skip Night - Fixed an issue where the server-side player would get stuck without being able to move.
- Networking - Fixed other minor network sync issues between clients that were causing disconnects.
Game Balancing
- Floor Dirt - After some more testing and player feedback, the drop in chance from the previous version was probably too much. The chance has been increased slightly.
- Drop Bags - Players can now grab multiple bags from the ground without the 30 item limit.
Bringing you more fixes that will help stabilize the gameplay.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug where the character would be overlapped by another skin at the tablet wardrobe.
- Fixed some network positioning on customer drop bags, trash papers and also nerf dats shot.
- Fixed a bug where the rain would timeout the connected clients.
Game Improvements
- Now displays the loading screen when you join a friend's game. If the connection can't be made, it will try for a few seconds before returning to the main menu.
Just rolled out a hotfix to get some of the bugs reported during the first 2 days of launch out of the way!

Bug Fixes
- Fixed bug when opening game settings (ingame)
- Fixed bug that disconnected clients when slowing down time during tutorial.
- Fixed bug that disconnected clients when some tutorial event was triggered.
- Fixed bug that disconnected clients when other player grabs more than 30 items from the ground (should help with some dropped bags stuck in the ground).
Game Improvements
- Improved the networking system. This should fix some bugs related to syncing between clients and also some disconnections.
- Reduced chance of customer dirt (25% => 10%)
- Reduced chance of client contamination during rain (75% => 50%)
- Lowered customer spawn rate and wallet money at earlier stages. This should avoid getting out of stock in a single day when you are still around 10~20 reputation.
- Removed controller inputs by default, this way no controller key should be shown by default. Currently the game doesn't officially support game controllers, but will be able to in future versions without major problems.
