About the Game
Note: Separated is a co-op only game (2 players have to own the game to play together). It heavily relies on voice chat communication. A microphone is required and headphones are highly recommended.
You and your friend are trapped in two connected houses. You have to communicate to solve puzzles with two different perspectives.
There's a blind entity roaming around. Whenever you hear it, you have to be very quiet or it will come for you!
Can you escape the clutches of the entity before it's too late?

Hi, again!
We know it’s been a while since our last update. We’re currently working on a big update that’s taking a little longer than expected, but we had to push a patch sooner to address some crucial bugs and issues.
Bugs:
In no ghost mode: In Level 4, fixed an issue where an item could be placed in an unreachable area, making it impossible to win.
Fixed an issue where Ghost Girl’s footsteps sounded the same when walking on stairs, Floor 1, and Floor 2. Now you can more clearly distinguish which floor the ghost is walking on and whether she is on the stairs or not.
Fixed being unable to switch between story notes while in lobby.

We Heard You!
Thank you to everyone who has played Separated and taken the time to leave feedback. We've been reading every review and discussion, and we've released our first hotfix based on your reports.
Changes in this Hotfix
Added a lobby option that disables voice chat from alerting the ghost, allowing you to communicate more freely and better understand the puzzles.
Made the ghost take a rest after catching a player in Levels 3 and 4.
As a temporary fix, we increased the ghost's footstep hearing range so you can hear her before she hears you. This will be addressed more thoroughly in the next update.
Redesigned the PC keyboard puzzle timer to make the puzzle much less frustrating and more enjoyable.
Reduced the number of drawers throughout the house to a maximum of two per room, making important items easier to find.

This hotfix focuses on addressing the most urgent issues as quickly as possible. We're now working on improving puzzle clarity, monster behavior, and the overall gameplay experience based on your feedback.

We’ve updated our Steam networking solution and are conducting another round of testing to help resolve connectivity issues for players.

Changes
Replaced the old Google Form submission (v0.2.1_Demo) with the new form (v0.2.5_Demo).
Replaced in-game puzzle hints with much clearer and redesigned hints that really help in solving the puzzle.
Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue where, after the player gets caught, the ghost girl would not properly hide the player's items or would leave them non-interactable indefinitely. Now, the ghost girl correctly hides the items.
Removed the "Examine Object" UI from the screen if the player is lost and returns to the lobby
Fixed a bug where player voice chat would not revert to open mode upon returning to the lobby from a session (if mic toggle mode was enabled)
Bug Fix
Temporarily disabled the Ghost hiding player items to fix a bug where items would remain floating in the air and become non-interactable.
Features:
- Replaced Epic Sign In with built in Steam sign in.
- You can now invite your friends from steam overlay or from the in-game overlay.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed "Unable to successfully complete login."

- You can now add your friends from Your Epic Account to join your session.

- Improved the entity's footsteps directionality and sound.
- Reduced the movement speed and delayed the reactions of the entity.
- Player Characters now make footsteps sound when walking and running.
- Adjusted all sound volumes.
- Slightly increased the Flashlight's light size.
- Added a FOV slider and resolution in the Settings Menu.
Bug Fixes
- Ultrawide monitors - Fixed an issue that made the game unplayable on Ultrawide monitors.
