Experience public transport on a new level. SubwaySim 2 offers an unparalleled standard of realism and authenticity. The graphics have been improved even more since the predecessor, and particular attention was dedicated to the vehicles, which are more detailled than ever before.
Authentic scenarios, dynamic weather and the brand-new career mode round off the realistic picture of a subway operator's day-to-day work.

Discover the underground network of the German capital Berlin!
Transport your passengers on two lines of the Berlin underground network, with a total length of 30 kilometres and 26 highly detailed, unique stations.
Along the route, you will encounter the iconic sights of Germany’s largest city. Thanks to the detailed recreation of routes and surroundings, as well as the Unreal Engine 5, virtual Berlin looks more detailed than ever before!
Take control of two fully functional and highly detailed vehicles and the discover the lovingly designed above-ground sections of the track in the middle of the city centre. The vehicles include the A3L vehicle, a true Berlin icon, in the A3L92 edition, as well as the HK electric multiple unit.
Just as with the stations, particular attention has been paid to every detail of the vehicles.

Start your journey along Hamburg's U3 line and make sure that your passengers get from station to station safely!
20.7 kilometres and 25 accurately recreated stations are waiting for you to be discovered. From the Elbphilharmonie, the Landungsbrücken to the Elbpromenade, many iconic sights of the Hanseatic city along the U3 have been recreated and offer an authentic picture of Hamburg.
Thanks to Unreal Engine 5, the DT5, available in two versions, was recreated with all the smallest details. The accurate driving experience, accompanied by the accurate sounds, gives you an authentic insight into the everyday life of a Hamburg subway operator.

⚠️ Important note regarding mods:
Due to the upgrade to a newer Unreal Engine version, mods created for older engine versions are no longer compatible and may cause crashes.
Please make sure to download updated versions of your mods that are compatible with the current engine version.
For everyone who wants to continue using their existing mods under Unreal Engine 5.4.4, we are also providing an additional public branch.
You can find it on Steam under the game’s Properties → Betas section with the branch name “ue_5.4”.

With this update we’ve fixed several issues and made targeted improvements across General systems as well as the Berlin and Hamburg networks.

General
Above-ground stations: Station lights are now only active during nighttime.
AI trains: Fixed an issue where trains could get stuck at signals that only displayed red or no aspect.
Berlin
Chaos Weather: This scenario can now be completed again.
A3L92: ELA login steps updated – they now work as in real life. The sequence has been adjusted accordingly.
A3L92: Fixed mesh issues with the drive/brake selector and the drive button.
Daisy displays now show delay information only when the delay exceeds 5 minutes.
Fixed incorrect text on information signs at Warschauer Straße station.
Mirrors at Dahlem-Dorf and Onkel-Toms-Hütte stations are now better aligned.
Hamburg
LSA locomotive shed performance improved.
Hamburg Barmbek: Added career spawn points.
AL1: UV map adjustments for improved repaint compatibility.
AL1: Added missing localization for disabling the automatic brake.
Fixed switch levers and switch lanterns in the LSA area.
Fixed a building intersecting the elevated railway between BA and DE.
Fixed ceiling issues at the BT tunnel entrance.
Removed a duplicate sun blind in the DT5.
The reliability of the power supply for DT5.1 and DT5.2 has been improved.

Fixed an issue where the game would freeze when derailing on a switch.
Berlin
Adjusted the mirror at Kurfürstenstraße. It no longer points toward the ground.
Fixed a floating distant signal at the station entrance of Kurfürstenstraße.
Hamburg
Fixed the DT5.2 pantograph bug (no power) on the Hamburg map.
DT5 DMI: The powered-down display now correctly shows the state of the pantograph.
Fixed the DT5 pantograph animation.
Adjusted the coupling distance for the AI BR474.
Akkulok AL1
Fixed an AL1 timetable issue that incorrectly sent you from Berliner Tor to Hauptbahnhof on track 2.
Reordered AL1x1 and LB6x2 to make more sense for a Hamburg ring drive.

The Akkulok AL1 is now operating as an AI locomotive in Hamburg!
You can spot it both day and night in action – towing broken-down trains, heading to construction sites, or performing inspection runs.

General
The Battery Locomotive AL1 can now be spottes as an AI train in Hamburg — during the day or at night — on its way to construction sites, towing operations, or performing inspection runs.
If a selected train does not have specific timetables, all available timetables are now displayed.
Scenarios featuring passenger trains once again instruct the player to open and close the doors.
Fixed an issue where windscreen water droplets appeared on the wrong side of the wiping area when wipers were active.
Fixed an issue where some AI passenger vehicles with automatic interior lighting failed to turn on the lights, leaving passengers in the dark.
Reduced the texture size of new station assets and certain train modifications in Berlin and Hamburg to improve overall performance.
Berlin
Fixed the Spichernstraße GÜ speed limit (increased from 40 km/h to 50 km/h).
Daisy displays no longer show fallback content.
Fixed the door buttons on the A3L92.
Fixed an issue where A3L92 warning lights remained constantly illuminated.
Fixed a shading issue on the A3L92 throttle and brake levers.
Fixed the landscape clipping into the track near Oskar-Helene-Heim station.
Hamburg
Improved switch levers in the LSA area with proper base structures.
Fixed an issue where a spraycan in the locomotive shed appeared to float.

We’ve just released a small Hotfix for SubwaySim 2, addressing several issues that appeared with Update 6.

🛠️ Changes in Update 6.1:
Fixed: An issue in Career Mode where the task “Contact Control Center” was repeatedly added to the player’s objectives.
Fixed: A problem in the Berlin Scenarios that prevented them from starting.
Fixed: A deadzone issue on the A3L92, where the brake lever could get stuck between Release and E1.

The biggest update in the history of the game is now available!
Weeks of intensive work, numerous community requests, and extensive technical improvements have come together to take SubwaySim 2 to a whole new level.
We hope this update excites you and provides long-lasting enjoyment!

General
Completely new lighting system: new light colors, more realistic sunlight, and fully reworked lighting on all stations, streets, and vehicles.
Updated DLSS version: fixes distorted screen issues.
Improved AI: no more AI trains stuck in traffic jams.
Signals: much brighter signal lights, clearly visible from a distance.
Pantographs: fully functional on all vehicles and routes, now influencing driving physics (also for multiple units like the HK).
New compatibility mode via Steam: can be selected on startup and fixes crashes related to DirectX 12.

Berlin
Fully functional radio for Berlin vehicles, affecting the route display on the front of the train.
A3L92: completely redesigned driver’s cab and new ELA mesh.
HK: reworked driver’s cab and new headlights.
G1E now occasionally runs on the U1 and U3 lines (community request).
G1E now features a rollsign and realistic sound.
All tunnel elements rebuilt with:
Emergency exits
Section-based controllable tunnel lighting
Rollsigns with glow effects for realistic background illumination.
New station equipment: emergency and info columns, emergency signal switches, fire extinguisher boxes, ticket machines, and validators.
Flexity:
Passenger compartment lighting as well as front and rear lights implemented.
Flexity trams now use the turnaround at Warschauer Straße.
Daisy display completely rebuilt.
Hamburg
DT5: new headlights and corrected exterior mesh.
New emergency and info columns throughout the line.
Track signs adjusted in size.
Track alignment errors fixed.
Passenger information screens: brightness optimized.
Bsa and Lsa (Saarlandstraße track workshop) added – fully detailed and explorable (preparation for the “Battery Locomotive AL1” DLC).
