About the Game

STREWTH! It's time to go back Down Under with this fully remastered version of TY the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue, the sequel to the best Thylacine Simulator ever. Once again rang, bite, smash and glide your way around the Australian Outback and help the people of the SOUTHERN RIVERS against the evil machinations of the diabolical BOSS CASS.
More rangs, more vehicles, more mechs, more EVERYTHING... in an open world Aussie Adventure. There might even be a few surprises along the way...

- Huge open world to explore, with 18 rangs, and a wide variety of vehicles and mechs.
- Two-player split-screen cart racing.
- Improved graphics; including updated shadows, reflections, HD resolutions and 60fps.
- Steamworks integration for achievements and leaderboards.
- Character customization with new skins for TY and paint jobs for the fourbie!

Long ago, a great battle was fought. BOSS CASS sought out five mystic talismans, so he could banish every warm blooded creature, to the DREAMING.
But one brave soul stood up to CASS, and thwarted his quest for the talismans. He risked all, in an effort to save his family and friends.
And in the end... he succeeded. CASS was banished for his crimes, and the land was made safe once again. All thanks to to one lone hero...
TY the Tasmanian Tiger.
Now, evil stirs again - the little country town of CURRAWONG is under attack, and a hero is needed once more...

Hi all,
A new build of TY2 (r3499_v108) has been released.
The major addition to this build is the new Hardcore Mode!
http://www.kromestudios.com/share/TY2_Hardcore_banner.png
In Hardcore mode we've removed all bonus lives and respawning - you literally have <one> life to get through the game. If you do happen to lose a life; we helpfully reset your save game and restart your adventure.
We've added two new leaderboards (Hardcore Game Complete and Hardcore 100% Game Complete) and two new achievements (Completing the game in Hardcore and 100% Completing the Game in Hardcore) for your troubles!
We hope that this provides a little bit of replayability for you all (and maybe bragging rights!). And cheats are disabled in Hardcore mode :)
http://www.kromestudios.com/share/TY2_Hardcore.gif
Additionally, we're happy to announce that TY3 has been released in to Early Access! As part of TY3's release, TY1 is currently on sale to celebrate; and if you own TY1 or TY2, you should receive an extra bonus discount for buying TY3 during this first week of Early Access - as we've increased the launch discount to 22% across the board!

Lastly, the following bug fixes are also in this new TY2 build:

We are proud to announce that TY the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue has been released from Early Access!
Additionally, we've now made available the soundtrack for the game as DLC, which you can find here:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/763590/TY_the_Tasmanian_Tiger_2_Soundtrack/
We have also set up Digital Deluxe and Digitial Deluxe upgrade bundles; which will save you 5% if you buy the game and the soundtrack (or upgrade your game to include the soundtrack DLC) (these may take a few minutes to appear on Steam).
Thank you to everybody who has helped us throughout this process. Your feedback, bug reports and your patience with us have been <greatly> appreciated. If you like the game and have enjoyed it, please leave us a review - every little bit helps!
We'll be keeping an eye on things after the release to make sure things run smoothly (hopefully, there won't be any problems) and then we'll be back early in 2018, hopefully with some new things to share with you.
Thank you again. You're all awesome.

Hey all,
We have some exciting news for you all!
Unless there is an unexpected problem, TY the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue, will release from Early Access early next week!
At this point the price of the game will increase to $14.99USD (and equivalent prices across other currencies).
As has been our policy for our previous releases, we will not be discounting the game for any sales for at least 3 months post-exit of Early Access. This is to ensure that the people who have supported us throughout Early Access are not in any way price disadvantaged.
Lastly, the TY2 soundtrack will become available for purchase when the game leaves Early Access, and we expect to shortly thereafter set up appropriate Bundles.
Then we're going to go see The Last Jedi.
In the drive to the v1.00 release, we have also released a new build on to the EXPERIMENTAL branch!
This build has a variety of small fixes, as well as language translation updates for all languages.
Any feedback on breaking issues that would effect the full launch would be, as normal, greatly appreciated.
Thank you to everybody who has been part of this journey so far. Hopefully we'll have some more good news for you, early in 2018.
Cheers!

r3040_v082 Changes
- ART: Up-res for textures for several actors (Clarence, Bruce, Orchid,
Snappy, Bruno, Red, Boonie, Goannas) - AUDIO: Projectiles now play the targets hit sound if needed.
- AUDIO: The thermo-bunyip trigged switches in Wulli Wulli Oil Rig now play a sound when hit by the water from the thermo bunyip.
- CONTROLS: Both analog sticks on the controller can now control the doomerang
- CRASH: fix for some rendering issues that can cause driver crashes from primitive render calls.
- GRAPHICS: Fixed the underwater fog effect
- LOCALIZATOIN: Updated all French, German, Spanish, Italian, Swedish and Danish lines that required translations.... unless we missed any! :)
- UI: Boomerang Hud - gamepad direction pointer is hidden when not using gamepad as current input.
- UI: NoisyButtonGroup, ScrollingButtonGroup - play sound when changing selected item using the mouse.
- UI: Pause Menu keyboard and mouse bindings - moved the "Reset to Default" and "Back" buttons upwards so they are onscreen.
- UI: Updated the steam and opengl messages to refer to "TY the Tasmanian Tiger 2".
- VIDEOS: Updated the videos in the extras menu of the main menu. The 2003 attract video is our original video from E3 2003, and contains footage of some of the content that didn't make the final cut. I don't believe that this video will have been seen by the general public previously. The 2004 Attract video is the video that was in the original release of the game. These are (quite obviously) lower quality than what people are used to these days; but they are the highest quality that we have!
Thank you to everybody who gave us feedback on the game in the previous build that we pushed through to the DEFAULT branch.
We've made several changes, and have put up a new build on the EXPERIMENTAL branch that we'd love to get any more feedback on, before we finish up Early Access!
This build has had limited testing.
Please let us know any/all issues, ASAP!

Hi all,
A new build of TY2 is now available on EXPERIMENTAL.
There are a <lot> of changes in this build. Many of these are not noticable in terms of what is on screen - but there have been multiple optimizations and performance improvements, which will hopefully mean a much more stable framerate throughout the game!
Additionally, we have hopefully fixed the issue some players were having with the game rendering only in the top left corner of screen, in full screen mode.
Lastly, we've decided to remove the rang shops and replaced them with a bunch of lootboxes. Every kart race you race you've got a chance to earn a lootbox if you beat your best time, or you can purchase the lootboxes for the low, low price of $1.99USD each!
;)
(as this is the internet I will now make sure it's clear that the above is a joke, we have not removed the rang shops, there are no lootboxes to purchase as microtransactions).
Please check out the changes below, and let us know any problems.
At this stage our intention is to finalize the last few audio updates we have planned, update the language translations, then we will be looking to exit Early Access. Once these plans have been finalized, we'll make sure we do a post to let everybody know the timing, what's happening with the price post Early Access, etc (same as we did with TY1).
Almost there!
Cheers

- Fix for minimap North to display correctly in small mode
- Fixed Swedish credits not being updated last round of changes
