About the Game
You've had enough of hiding behind the barricades. Now it's time to let the zombie horde pay for their unholy existence. The virus has spread throughout the world, but humanity is far from giving up.
Forget about things like complicated controls or hour-long cutscenes — jump right into the fray and watch the fireworks! It's a game that everyone will enjoy, no matter their gaming experience, as the characters you command aim and shoot on their own. Just drop onto the couch and bask in your endorphin rising from a bullet heaven gameplay loop!
Your squad evolves upon your customized decisions as you play. Pursue a varied set of perks and support skills, or focus on your favorite character to alter their gear and gain their ultimate abilities.
Control a lone SWAT soldier or an entire team of badass mercenaries armed with katana, flamethrower, and rocket launcher - it's up to you every time you play!
Forge your squad to your liking with permanent upgrades. Decide upon how you'd like to progress and if you change your mind just reset and try something else. Pursue the specialization you enjoy the most and observe how your team becomes death, destroyer of worlds.
Assert your dominance over the enemy by increasing the virus' strength and making the hell's army stronger and faster. And when you finally stand at the top, ascend to a higher state of being with the unique prestige system, proving that you're not afraid of anything.

We're releasing a hotfix update for version 0.9.2.
Here's the list of changes:
- Multiple potential fixes and safeguards against crashes reported by the players.
- Added a new tooltip for the "Skip" function, showing the Cash and HP gained from its usage.
- Fixes for "Axerangs" weapon not dealing damage properly.
- Fixes for "Bloom" effect not working correctly (or at all).
- Many additional optimization improvements and visual tweaks.
- Slight translation / language improvements.

Before we drop 0.9.2 with bigger changes, here's a little more winter spirit for all of you:
- Seasonal Events system added to the game, currently applying cosmetic changes to your runs.
- "Seasonal Events" setting added to the Options menu: Enable, disable, or force a seasonal event.
- "UI Scale" setting added to the Options menu: Set interface and font scale to your liking. This settings works independently to HUD Scaling, which was added in the previous update.
- [Steam Deck] Default UI scale is set to 150%, but can be freely changed with the new setting.
- Decreased XP required per level when over level 150 (more level-ups in late game endless modes).
- Medic: Experiment 21: each grenade can be of a different element, instead of all being the same.
- Fixed the laggy fade-in effect of the main menu screen from the last update.
- Fixed some item combinations not working correctly in specific scenarios.
- Fixed the framerate skyrocketing on some loading screens.
- Fixes for some other minor errors.
Additional hotfix - 9'th December 2025:
- "Reroll" function now stays selected when rerolling power-ups.
- Stat display unified to show only one digit after the decimal point (e.g. 23.543% -> 23.5%).
- Enemy death animations fixed (especially Mummies).
- Manual aim override displays the laser sights now for easy of aiming.
- Fix for skill tree node costs not displaying.
- Fix for the endscreen weapon & ability stats sorting when swapping Survivors.
- Fix for missing translation for the Crowbar item.
For everyone who has lost your progress due to the cloud saving turmoils plaguing some previous builds of the game (sorry again!), please remember we'll do our best to restore your progress for you.

Please excuse us while we add some fluff to the game. Here's what's changed:
- To improve readability on smaller screens, the size of many texts and pop-ups has been increased.
- HUD Scale (50%-150%) setting was added to the "Interface" tab in the Options menu.
- Added some additional safeguards against potential save corruption (no amount of it is enough).
- "Bricklayer" enemy projectiles slowed down by 15% & improved indicator visibility.
- Added new VFX particles to the game when "Blood and gore" setting is turned off.
- The game now launches with a 60 FPS cap before it fully loads the limit set by the user.
- Fix for "Reserve Bench" item not working correctly when equipped with "Gold Medal".
- Mechanic: Trusty Spanner: Melee range increased slightly.
- "Privacy Mode" setting moved to the user interface tab in the Options.
- Fix for gameplay time displaying wrongly on the Save Slot UI.
- Display & control improvements for Run History interfaces.
- Other interface-related improvements and tweaks.
- Fixes for some other minor errors.
About the cloud save issue: if you've played the 0.9.1 version of the game before, are now returning to the game, and have noticed a cloud save error & your account progress being lost, please message us at [email protected] and we'll do our best to help!

We're releasing yet another hotfix. The list of changes is as follows:
- Important fix for the local-cloud save differences. Hopefully fixing the Steam Cloud issue some of you have still experienced (for good this time). Please let us know if any issues still remain.
- Local (non-cloud) save backups are now created in addition to default ones. This will allow you to recover your progress when you accidentally selected wrong saves at the Cloud Error interface when launching the game. Their location was added to the pinned Save backup information topic.
- Perfected the Horde time-scaling formula: HP rises faster, DMG rises slower + added a very small movement speed boost happening every 50 Horde levels (late-game Endless/Infinite/One Hit only).
- Mouse cursor should no longer snap back to the center of the screen when playing in K+M setups.
- Fix for Gem & Omnigeode items not working correctly.
- Achievements that required doing something for 10 minutes should now properly unlock in Hardcore mode.
- Auto-choices now prioritize non-infinite options on Level-up, and Survivors on SOS Signal screens.
- Additional hotfix for endscreen interfaces to prevent accidental "Try Again" selection.
- Playtime over 24 hours should now display correctly in Zombiepedia.
- Some code tweaks and fixes for rogue errors.
Once again, please accept our apologies if your were affected by the Cloud save issues. As such things may happen in Early Access phase, we'll do our utmost for them to not happen ever again.
Keep us updated for any remaining issues. If things return to full stability, we'll start focusing our work on the Update 0.9.2.

We're releasing a hotfix update for version 0.9.1.
Sorry it take a few days for us to implement the Steam Cloud issue fix. The overall size of our Awesome Games Studio family grew by one member. As such, one of the core devs got stuck in the parenthood. Please, accept our apologies for every single save game issue that some of you have encountered!
Here's the list of changes:
Added "Privacy Mode" which hides your real Steam account name in the in-game menus.
New indicator icon added for the "Pills" item active effect (when Healhpak is collected).
Ghost's Survivor color code changed slightly for better readability (is now more pastel-like).
\ Fixed save game cloud-related issues. In the case of these kind of errors in the future (which may appear for multiple reasons, e.g. server issues), please disable the save cloud in the game's properties in Steam Library and/or backup your save files manually.
Fixed runs from run history and leaderboards (Steam) not being displayed / returning an error.
Added additional safety checks against the in-game auto-save going wrong.
Fix for Healthpak power-up being collectible when at max HP.
Fix for "Resuscitation: Valhalla" ability evolution not reducing max HP.
Fix for damage type badges not adding tag points.
Potential fix against "Death is Approaching" achievement not triggering correctly.
Added a 0.35s delay for controls between different endscreens / game over screens.
Fixes for sound volume settings not saving correctly.
Other minor fixes (e.g. interface errors).
Additionally, there was also one unnamed hotfix last week, which consisted of:
Medic: Syringe Gun: Fixed the lack of projectile collider.
Medic: Medical Drone: Now shoots more often, projectiles are faster, damage scaling was improved.
Fixed "Gem" items not being calculated correctly.
One Hit: Death Terminal: Lowered the difficulty a bit.
Save file & config file saving/loading fixes & tweaks.
Fixes for V-Sync setting not saving correctly.

Fixed Dog Eat Dog achievement triggering even when the boss wasn’t killed by another boss
Devil’s Deal now deals 5% damage every tick instead of 10% (also fixed Chinese localization, which previously displayed 2% HP/s instead of 10% HP/5 s)
Skip Rope now shows a 0–5 value on the item panel and the total collected points only in the detailed description
Added missing Chinese flavor text for Schrödinger’s Cat

We're pushing a small hotfix update with fixes to reported issues from version 0.8.1.
Here are the changes in this version, as well as some of the others that were pushed as silent hotfixes:
- Improvements were made to the game's stability to hopefully prevent in-game crashes*.
- Fixes for some errors with the Reroll function related to Survivor Level-up interfaces.
- Gunner Badge fixed to have the correct, higher bonus to Kinetic damage.
- Extermination: Fixed the issue where the wave information box would show enemy quantity as "0".
- "Scented Candle" item now properly increases the chance of status infliction by 50% (instead of adding a flat +50%).
- Fixed a few audio-related issues.
- Fixed issues with fonts sometimes not rendering properly.
- Language & translation improvements.
- Other minor fixes & tweaks.

We're pushing a small hotfix update, complementary to Update 0.8.0b:
- Fixed the "Circular Decomposition" achievement not triggering when all mummies in the circle are defeated.
- Important event text information now remains visible when the Damage Numbers display is turned off.
- Events (abilities & explosions) should no longer stay active in the run's victory state / when dawn comes.
- Fix for audio not playing correctly when unmuted in the options menu until a run is started or stopped.
- Fix for slowing debuff effects not working correctly on enemies.
- Language & translation improvements.

We're back, and we're releasing another hotfix! The changes are as follows:
- New accessibility setting: enable/disable Enemy Hit Effects.
- Potential fix for freezes, most commonly ones related to late stages of the Endless mode.
- Fix for Chemical tag related effects causing framerate drops / performance issues.
- Fixed the Engineer's "Plasma" weapon not dealing damage to the first enemy hit by the beam.
- Some static cooldown timers should no longer be reducible (e.g. Medical Drone: Defense).
- In-game mouse cursor graphics should be displayed again.
- Fixed reported problems when swapping certain items.
- Damage numbers above 10,000 should now display correctly.
- Visibility improvements to important indicators on high effects transparency.
- Certain synergy nodes for Tank, Huntress, and Pyro now have better placement.
- Leaderboards: Improved available address pool for uploading and viewing verified scores.
- Improved the size of some interface tooltips.
- Fixed some of the new achievement related requirements.
- Fixed older achievements that were no longer unlocking correctly.
- Elemental Badge: Now correctly grants +20% to both Chemical and Ice type damage.
- Fixed the "Devil's Deal" item interaction with "Electrocution: Toxic" ability evolution.
- "Burger" item no longer reduces HP below the correct amount when "Glass of Milk" is swapped.
- "Ultra Instinct" will now function properly for the entire duration of its presence in the inventory.
- The "Experiment 21" ability will no longer "steal" the DPS value from "Shuriken".
- Fixed Burn status not working properly with the Gaslighter item effect.
- Fixed the reported issues related to Banish and Lockdown systems.
- Disabled the "Plot Armor" item in One Hit game mode (Go home, armor, you drunk!).
- Fixed free banish from the "Ban Hammer" item not working after rerolls.
- Additional badge slots now relock correctly when resetting progress.
- Various other tweaks and fixes (e.g. translation improvements).

We're releasing a hotfix update for version 0.8.0. The changes are as follows:
- XP gems 3D model size increased to pre-0.8 values.
- Fix for some tag effects not re-applying correctly on the same target.
- Mouse Mode "Move On Click" movement now correctly resets on run restarts.
- Green Hell: Fixed players sometimes taking damage from acid puddles when restarting the run.
- Mechanic: Reduced unlock requirement by 1000 for every 100 Survival Levels (general skill tree points).
- Engineer: Plasma: Should now always correctly deal damage with the main energy beam.
- Items: Suspicious Pendrive: Now correctly explodes when responding to SOS Signals.
- Items: Reserve Bench: Disabled on Hardcore mode.
- Items: Potato: Now works correctly with the new weapon.
- Items: Devil's Deal: No longer triggers "on damage received" effects.
- Items: Devil's Deal: Removes -2% HP (from -1% HP), but can no longer kill the player.
- Items: Glass of Milk: Removal can no longer reduce health pool to values lower than 50 HP.
- Badges: Healing Badge: Now increases HP/s regen stat by +2 per rank (from +1 per rank).
- Completed modes for each map should now correctly display 5/5 when One Hit run was completed.
- Scarabs should once again happily walk into Survivors with all their animations working correctly.
- Military Training point pick-up now displays "Military Training" without the "x/4" number when collected.
- Implemented additional safeguards and checks against any potential loss of save game progress.
- Other misc tweaks & fixes.

We're releasing a hotfix update for version 0.7.2. The changes are as follows:
- Improved the game's system memory usage.
- Fix for error screens displayed when shutting down the game consciously.
- Items: Schrödinger's Cat: Fix for the Infinite options overriding Military Training ones.
- Items: Schrödinger's Cat: Fix for the quality being upgraded with rerolls.
- Items: Gold Medal: Fix for incorrect calculation of Military Training Points.
- Other minor fixes, user experience tweaks & improvements.
