No Return – A Roguelike Survival Mode

Experience The Last of Us Part II’s deep combat via an entirely new mode! Survive as long as you can in each run, as you choose your path through a series of randomized encounters. Play as a host of different unlockable characters, each with unique gameplay traits. The variety of challenges features different foes and memorable locations from throughout Part II, all culminating in tense boss battles.

Patch 1.6 is out now for The Last of Us Part II Remastered!
This update contains a range of bug fixes and improvements based on your feedback.
We've resolved issues with entering codes for safes or bank vaults using mouse and keyboard controls, and we've addressed various controller-related bugs. In addition, this update includes a variety of visual fixes, including animation- and lighting-related bug fixes in ultrawide cutscenes.
This patch also resolves a rare progression blocker that could occur during the car chase scene and fixes a bug that could prevent some display settings from being saved. Dive into the full patch notes below for a complete overview of what's improved.

- Fixed an issue where entering codes for safes or bank vaults could sometimes skip numbers when using mouse and keyboard controls.
- Resolved a rare progression blocker where some players were unable to shoot because their pistol was invisible during the car chase scene with Ellie and Jesse.
- Fixed a bug that prevented Exclusive Fullscreen and V-SYNC settings from being saved when changed from the in-game Display Settings menu.
- Addressed a bug related to enabling Motion Sensor Function Aiming when using a Steam Deck or supported Steam Input controllers with gyro features.
- Resolved a controller issue that prevented the bow from dynamically drawing based on trigger input and could misfire when slowly releasing the trigger.
- Addressed a bug that caused the DualShock 4 controller speaker to make a subtle noise in situations where haptic feedback would be active when using a DualSense controller.

- Fixed a bug where Tommy’s sniper rifle did not display a lens flare during the ‘The Marina’ chapter, making it harder for players to determine his line of sight when the lens flare option was disabled.
- Resolved an issue where Abby’s name did not appear on the chalkboard until Owen finished writing it, when effects density was set to very low.
- Addressed a bug that caused the shotgun’s incendiary shell visual effects to be unclear in showing how they affect enemies and the environment, when Effects Density was set to very low.
- Addressed an animation bug that allowed Abby to run during the ‘Ground Zero’ chapter in Chronological mode, unlike in the original Story.

Patch 1.4 is out now for The Last of Us Part II Remastered!
This update adds full support for NVIDIA DLSS 4 and contains various bug fixes based on player feedback.
NVIDIA DLSS 4 includes the Transformer model for upscaling, which can be used with all NVIDIA RTX GPUs. This new upscaling algorithm offers more image stability, less ghosting, and improved anti-aliasing compared to the Legacy model which may offer better performance depending on the GPU. You can toggle between both models using the new Upscale Preset option in the Display Menu.
For NVIDIA RTX 50-series users, Multi Frame Generation is now available. This feature can be used by enabling DLSS Frame Generation and adjusting the new Max Generated Frames option in the Display Menu.
This patch also contains improvements related to AMD FSR Frame Generation and updates Intel XeSS upscaling to version 2.0.1. We've also addressed bugs related to controller functionality and various visual issues. Check out the patch notes below for all the details.

- Addressed a bug where players were unable to fire weapons on the first mouse click, after using the mouse to restart a checkpoint.
- Fixed an issue where players would automatically fire their weapon, when aiming after a stealth kill, if the Reload/Quick Throw/Use action was mapped to .
- Enabling NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation in the launcher now increases the frame rate by the same amount as enabling it in the in-game Display menu.

Hotfix 1.1 is out now for The Last of Us Part II Remastered.
This hotfix improves autosave functionality for players that use OneDrive or similar cloud services. We've also improved the way the game handles Resizable BAR, which can result in performance improvements when ReBAR is enabled.

This update fixes various crashes and we’ve addressed long stalls that could occur in some locations. We've also fixed several bugs related to the user interface and ultrawide cinematics. Check out the patch notes below for more details.
We are aware of player reports of autosave issues and are actively working on a fix. Our investigation shows that issues can occur when OneDrive or similar cloud services block the save file from being written. As a workaround, we suggest that you pause OneDrive while playing the game: Right-click the OneDrive icon in the Windows taskbar, click the gear icon and Pause sync.
