Among the Trolls is a first-person narrative-adventure game, with survival elements, where the secret mysteries of Finnish forests are unraveled.

Hello everyone,
Here’s a quick hotfix to take care of some remaining issues from the first patch, before coming out with the next big update. The hotfix this time has a focus on graphics and interface issues, together with other various fixes.

Here's the full list of the issues fixed:
Graphics & Ultrawide
The Graphic Option settings are now placed correctly on ultrawide monitor
Fixed the texture gap at the edge of the Inventory on ultrawide monitor
Fixed the well’s mesh collision and the grass clipping at its base
Fixed the water VFX that appeared incorrectly when destroying logs with a charged shot
Crashes & Saves
Players can now save while having the bow in hand with multiple types of arrows
Fixed a crash that happened after dying by fall damage, overwriting the save files and restarting the game
Fixed loading spawn issue
Fixed a Main Menu bug that caused Louhi’s voice-over to start
Dungeons
Fixed the cutscene that trigger incorrectly after exiting Dungeon 09 and looking back at the dungeon’s entrance
Fixed the roof’s collision in Dungeon 09
Fixed misplaced texture at the exit of Dungeon 07

Here we are with our first patch, focusing on many different issues regarding interactions, crashes, and weapons.
With this patch we aim to cover up as many separate bugs as possible, to then focus on Keybindings for the next big update. We know a lot of people are waiting, and we're working hard to deliver it as quickly as possible while fixing any bugs we find along the way.

Interaction, Dialogue & Sound
Fixed issues with the initial Crow dialogue while being in Immersive mode
Fixed audio disappearing or becoming corrupted during long gameplay sessions
Fixed Penny Man and shelter interaction prompts
Crashes, Softlocks & Loading Issues
Fixed soft-locks while being in Immersive mode
Fixed crash after changing graphics settings
Fixed crash after loading a save
Fixed crash after closing a rift
Fixed crash while exploring Dungeon number 6
Fixed freeze after pausing while entering a dungeon
Fixed infinite loading when pausing while exiting a dungeon
Fixed issue with dodging and crouching, now players don’t remain stuck
Weapons & Stamina
Fixed issues with different arrow types cycling
Fixed issues with Wooden spear trajectory
Fixed issues with stamina bar behaviour

We’ve just rolled out a new update for the Demo focused on stability improvements, combat fixes, and general polish. Thank you for all your feedback - it’s been incredibly helpful!
Below is the full list of fixes and improvements included in this patch.
Gameplay & Combat Fixes
Fixed an issue where monsters would chase the player but fail to become hostile or attack properly.
Resolved a combat bug that allowed players to defeat enemies in one-on-one encounters without giving them a chance to strike back.
Fixed arrow collision issues with broken barriers inside the dungeon.
Removed invisible collision walls that were blocking player movement along certain trails.
Quests & Journal
Fixed inconsistent information between the “Dungeon Start” quest step and the quest journal.
Removed a placeholder image that was incorrectly displayed on the first page of the Journal.
Fixed an issue where Anna’s hands appeared invisible the first time she opened the Journal (including after the dialogue with the Crow).
Fixed a bug where dying while the map was open prevented players from accessing the map after respawning.
Stability & Performance Improvements
Fixed a memory leak that could cause an “Out of Memory” crash on PCs with 16GB of RAM.
Resolved a crash that occurred when switching off Virtual Shadow Maps.
General stability improvements and crash fixes.
