About the Game
A brutal FPS. One girl. One gun. One recording.
They broke into her life.
They filmed her. They destroyed her.
Now she's back - and she's filming them.
Better Than Dead is a brutal first-person shooter set in the depths of photorealistic Hong Kong.
You play as a survivor who’s done running. She’s got a pistol, a bodycam, and a kill list.
Every level is a raid. Every fight is personal.
Saving the other girls isn’t enough - you have to find the ones who broke you and show the world as you take them down.
Key Features
Bodycam revenge shooter – Film every step. Every shot. Every death. No mercy.
Raw, instant gunplay – Fast reactions. Deadly bullets. You miss, you die.
Photorealistic Hong Kong – Fight your way through iconic action-movie settings: neon-lit restaurants, seedy nightclubs, back alleys, rooftop dens.
Tight, linear levels – No filler. Just targets, tension, and retribution
Cinematic action style – Inspired by classic Hong Kong action films from the ’80s and ’90s.

Additional note:

This update focuses on the weapon sight alignment.
I adjusted the weapon position and sight alignment to make aiming and shooting feel more consistent.
This was one of the most common points of feedback after release, so I wanted to address it as soon as possible.
BTD is still meant to feel physical, raw, and aggressive, but the weapon should now feel clearer and more reliable.
Please let me know how it feels now.
This is a small update focused on a few fixes and improvements:
-Added a Discord button to the main menu.
-Updated a few textures.
-Fixed some issues in the rooftop area of Built on Nothing where players could get stuck.
Hopefully that section should now feel smoother to play.
Thank you as always for the feedback.
I improved shot collision around corners, edges, and walls. Hits should now feel more precise when shooting near tight geometry.
I also reduced the death screen duration by half. Since Better Than Dead is a fast and lethal game where death can happen often, this should help keep the rhythm of the action moving better.
Thank you for the feedback. I’m continuing to read it and improve the game during Early Access.
Use it to rush in, get close, and shoot aggressively at close range.Killing enemies helps you stay alive. Killing civilians makes every mistake more dangerous.
Thank you for the day one feedback. I’m reading it carefully and will keep improving the game during Early Access.
