Patch 1.04 is now available for LEGO Horizon Adventures! Have a look through the Patch Notes listed below, and make sure your game is up-to-date before you jump back in!
KNOWN ISSUES
We’ve heard our community's feedback and appreciate any issues that have
been flagged to us.
- Lighting may appear blown out on HDR Steam Deck. To resolve this, either disable HDR or increase the max luminance value to 4500 in the graphics settings.
- The game may crash on boot on specific 13th and 14th generation Intel CPUs. To resolve this a BIOS update may be required. More information is available here.
FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS
Runs
- Fixed an issue where the player could become stuck on a loading screen during the Prologue. Come onnn, we don’t have time, we need to save the world!
- Fixed an issue where loading screen music could play during a cinematic. The loading screen music is great, but that’s for loading... screens.
Mother’s Heart
- Fixed an issue where the 'Stay Frosty', 'Flaming Ninjas!' and 'Silent Storm' challenges would not progress when defeating element afflicted enemies with a non-elemental weapon. Now you can save your elemental arrows for them pesky Corruptors!
- Fixed an issue where the 'A Brush with Greatness' challenge did not accurately count when changing zone colors. Change alllll the colors!
- Fixed an issue where the Wardrobe could become blocked after the player threw a chicken into it. Why would you even do this, poor chicky.
Characters, Combat & Co-op
- Fixed an issue where Varl could become stuck in place when catching a Boomerang or Homing Spear. He just got a bit scared; , it happens to us all.
- Fixed an issue where the Brick Remover gadget would not destroy Corruption Pools. The Brick Remover had a firmware upgrade.
- Fixed an issue where Broadheads could become stuck at the edges of the area. Now they’ll attack you instead! That’s better, right?
- Fixed an issue where the aim indicators for the Spreadshot Bow would disappear for the guest player. Player 2 always has it on hard mode...
Other
- Fixed various crashes when pressing ALT+F4 to close the game.
- Various bug fixes and stability improvements.
- Various audio fixes and improvements.

- Nintendo Switch - Players may become stuck on a loading screen during a cinematic transition whilst playing in online co-op.

Runs
- The player can get stuck behind a chest in a Forest area. Mimic? Mimic.
- During a Tallneck encounter, there was a chance to become stuck on a rock. The rock has been told to play nicely in future.
- Fixed an issue where combat music would continue to play after completing the objective. It is good music, to be fair.
- Fixed an issue where spike traps would not be highlighted when scanned with the Focus. Pesky spike traps.
Mother’s Heart
- Fixed an issue in local co-op where if one player began building a plot and stopped, the other player would be unable to build the same plot. The plot thickens!
- Fixed an issue where the music in Teb the Tailors shop may not play when unlocked. You can’t have confetti without music!
Characters, Combat & Co-op
- Fixed an issue where if Varl dies whilst having the homing spear equipped, the weapon could lose its ability to lock onto targets and/or be used. Our finest Oseram tinkerers took a look, it should be good now.
- Fixed various issues that would only happen for the guest player during on-line co-op.
- Fixed an issue where Varl may throw the spear the wrong way. This way, Varl!
- Fixed an issue where Snapmaws may be sent flying after being attacked with an elemental weapon. Snapmaw’s blasting off agaaiiiin.
- Fixed an issue where for the guest player, the villagers may not be dancing following completion of a run. They have now equipped their dancing shoes!

- Various bug fixes and stability improvements.

NEW FEATURES
- Added a Player Progression screen to track content / overall game progress.
- Options have been added to allow you to customize which features are highlighted when using the Focus. Highlight ALL THE THINGS.
FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS

- Various fixes to reduce the risk of the player getting stuck outside of the level.
- Performed a balancing pass on various Apex Hunts.
- Fixed the player having a chance of being eaten by (stuck inside) the Dragon Cart masterbuilding object when it has been built.
Mother’s Heart
- Added stud rewards when having interacted with various yard customization plots.
- The fish from the Fishing Pond can now be eaten by animals (sorry fish).
Characters & Co-op
- Improved the visibility of player rings when playing in co-op.
- Improved Teersa’s ability to defend herself against projectiles. This old gal’s still got it!
- Improved the responsiveness of Teersa’s hold attack ability. Seriously, don’t mess with Teersa...
- Fixed an issue where the guest player may be missing a pickup prompt on gadgets and weapons after dying and being revived.
- Fixed an issue where the Deathbringer may always target the host player and not the guest. No playing favorites!
UI/UX
- Added a note to indicate which player opened the Pause Menu.
- Various localization improvements.
- Fixed an issue where simultaneously pressing the Cross and OPTIONS buttons may cause the Pause Menu to become unresponsive. There’s no trophy for button mashing!
- Removed a ‘Continue’ button that does not function on various Brick screens.
- Improved the HUD Scale option to increase the size of the quest markers, damage numbers, danger warnings, and more!
- Added ‘+’ signs to upgrade stickers to better highlight stat increases.
Combat
- PC Only - Fixed an issue where the player can lose functionality by pausing and clicking off the game window when charging the Arrow Storm Bow. Stay focused Aloy!
- Ensured that Erend’s stacked Giant Hammer now deals increased damage to the Deathbringer. Don’t stop him now!
- Fixed an issue where machines may become stuck on geometry. Math is hard.
Other
- PC Only - Adjusted default graphics settings based on hardware.
- PC Only – Improved performance on Intel ARC series GPUs.
- Various bug fixes and stability improvements.
- Various audio fixes and improvements.
- Significantly improved stability of reflections and facial animations on Nintendo Switch.
