About the Game

Work together to survive, coordinate tasks, and rescue crewmates in danger or make questionable decisions that put everyone at risk.

Fashion is subjective. Customize your character with cosmetic and facial expression options, and unlock new hats through achievements while trying to survive each trip.

⚙️ New Difficulty Modes
You can now choose how hard the sea pushes back:

Difficulty affects multiple gameplay systems and is selectable when starting a new run.
🌍 Localization Improvements
Additional localization-related fixes and corrections across the UI
🐙 Balance Adjustments
Adjusted Fish Stealer spawn rates to reduce over-aggressive encounters
As always, thank you for playing and for the continued feedback - see you out on the water 🌊
First of all - thank you, and apologies.
Following our recent localization update, a number of unintended UI issues slipped through and affected core information displays. We know how important clarity is in a game like Dreadline, and we’re sorry for the confusion this caused.
This hotfix addresses the following issues:
🛠️ Fixes
Fixed an issue where Current Fish / Max Fish values were not displaying correctly
Fixed Life Savings not showing properly in the shop
Fixed Title preview not displaying correctly
Fixed Current Quota incorrectly showing Life Savings on the quota board
Fixed Survived Days and Days Until Quota Due not displaying correctly
Fixed the Back button not working in a specific tutorial menu
All localization-related display issues listed above should now be fully resolved.
❤️ Thank You for the Support
We also want to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who’s joined us since the 1.0 launch - over 4,000 new players have jumped into Dreadline, and the response has been incredible.
Your reports helped us catch and resolve these issues quickly, and we truly appreciate the patience and support while we sorted things out.
As always, if you spot anything else out of place, please let us know - we’re listening.
See you at sea 🌊

ご不便をおかけしてしまい、申し訳ありません。ご報告いただきありがとうございました。
We’ve heard your feedback.
Many players felt monsters were appearing too frequently and too aggressively compared to Early Access - especially in the early game.
This hotfix slows things down. Creatures should now appear less often, giving more breathing room while keeping the tension intact.

We’ve also seen a lot of interest coming in from our Japanese players - thank you!
We’re currently looking into Japanese localization and will share more once we have updates.
As always, thanks for the feedback! ☺️
We're reworking the achievements a bit, so there might be a mismatch between the game and steam servers at the moment, Thank you for your understanding! 😄
Hey everyone! 👋
We’ve pushed a small hotfix to clean up a few pesky issues and improve the flow a bit. Here’s what’s changed:
🛠 Fixes & Changes
You no longer have to pay to put your hammers back in the toolkit.
Fixed an issue with the cast rod power minigame, it won’t click three times anymore.
The player now stops moving when opening the menu, instead of continuing to auto-run.
That’s it for this one! Thanks as always for the quick reports and feedback, it helps us patch things up fast. 💙
Hey folks! Today’s small hotfix targets a critical crash and a couple stability issues from the latest build.
Details
Players should no longer experience a crash when interacting with sleep/rest actions.
New sessions will now start in the Tutorial area to ensure a smoother first run.
Various null reference fixes across the new build reduce unexpected errors and improve overall stability.
If you run into anything similar after this update, please let us know in the Steam Discussions or on Discord (#bug-reports) with your logs and steps to reproduce. Thanks for helping us make Dreadline better!

🎙️ Hey hey, haunted anglers!
We’ve been untangling more bugs and cleaning the deck after the last few chaotic voyages. This patch is a smaller one, but it's all about quality-of-life and weird fish behavior — the wiggling has been stopped, the wardrobe now makes satisfying sounds, and the lobby won't instantly betray you.
We're listening, tweaking, and slowly making the seas a little smoother (and louder).
🔧 What’s New
🐟 Fish no longer jitter and spasm on the boat
Turns out frozen fish don’t flop.❄️ Inventory fish now freeze in place
They stay right where you left them — no more accidental cannonballing.💀 Lobby no longer kills the entire crew when one player leaves
Who knew the lobby wasn’t supposed to be the final boss?🔊 Base VOIP volume increased
You can now hear your crewmates panic a little more clearly.🧭 Codfather “heads up” ping
A radar ping now plays when he's locked on to your scent — RUN.🛍️ UI sounds added
Missing hover sounds filled in
Wardrobe now opens and closes with actual sound. Satisfying.
🌊 Thanks for sailing with us
We’re keeping the chaos alive, but hopefully a little less fish-floppy. Your bug reports, screams, and cursed screenshots help us keep making Dreadline better — one haunted harpoon at a time.
See you out there, and remember: frozen fish don’t scream.
Ahoy again, dredgers of the deep!
We've been swimming through your feedback and squashing some of the slipperiest bugs yet. From phantom boats clipping through islands to mysterious shop upgrades with zero explanation — this patch should smooth out some of the roughest waters.
Thanks to everyone who's been testing, breaking, and occasionally screaming their way through Dreadline — you're helping us reel in the chaos, one patch at a time.
🛥️ Boat & World Interaction
No more sailing through solid matter! The boat will now properly collide with islands. (Turns out, player boat shouldn’t be ghost ships.)
🕰️ UI & Visual Updates
Clock visual overhaul
Both the HUD and the ship’s in-game clock got a clarity pass.
Time to actually know what time it is.Shop hover-over text added
Now you can see what upgrades do before buying them.
Imagine that!Float rods moved slightly
We nudged them to the right — should make clicking the correct rod way easier.
(Muscle memory: updated.)
🐛 Crash Reporting Improvements
Crash reports now auto-send (with permission)
This helps us track down and squash more bugs moving forward.
Thanks for suffering for science!
We're still hunting a few deep-sea bugs (and yes, some fish still think they're birds), but your reports are helping us patch faster than ever.
Keep sharing what you find, Wishlist the game if you haven’t already, and as always — join the Discord to help out shape the games future! We're counting on you! 💖
Now get back out there and catch something weird. 🎣
Hey everyone!
We’ve been going through your feedback from day one — thank you so much for playing and sharing your thoughts!
This patch includes some early tweaks to help fine-tune that dreadful feeling we’re aiming for.
We really appreciate all the reviews, bug reports, and chaos — it’s helping us shape this game into something special.
Thanks for being part of the journey 💙

But beware — over your first 10 days, his temper increases...
Spawning behavior improved
Codfather will no longer appear directly in front of the boat — giving you a fair chance to escape.
He now spawns 75% farther away, From 200 → 350 units for more breathing room.
Minimap improvements
Codfather now appears on the minimap when aggroed.

🐛 Known Issues
Fish physics are still slippery.
Caught fish may launch, slide, or clip through the boat like they’ve got unfinished business. We're wrangling it!Stability issues on respawn.
Some players experience occasional crashes or flow-breaking glitches, especially during respawn or transitions.
We're actively working on these! If you encounter any crashes, please send us your Player.log — it really helps us track these down.
Location of the player log is at C:\\Users\\USER\\AppData\\LocalLow\\Mana Brigade\\DreadLine\\Player.log !
Hey crew! 🌊
We’ve got a fresh batch of fixes and improvements coming in hot — thanks again to everyone who's been playing, testing, and helping us find these weird little gremlins. Here's what's changed:
🟢 Safezone HUD Update
We’ve cleaned up the HUD so it’s clearer when you’re in a safe zone.
When you're here, you can breathe easy — time won’t run out on you!

💀 Player List – Now With More Death
You should now see your glorious (or tragic) fate reflected in the player list.
Dead? It’ll say so. Alive? Keep it that way.
[img src="{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45549285/c87dce3ee748a911f2ec9935824e9da9585c4eab.png"]
✅ To-Do List!
We've added a handy To-Do List on your HUD!
Now you and your crew can keep track of objectives without yelling over each other (…but feel free to yell anyway).

🌊 Ocean Surface Tweaks
The ocean's gotten a tiny visual upgrade — nothing major, just a bit more detail to help it feel alive. Or maybe it's just hungry. Who knows.

🚤 Lobby Name = Boat Name
Typing in the lobby name from the main menu?
Your boat name should now update properly to match what you're typing. No more "Boaty McBoatlobby" confusion. (Unless that’s your thing.)

🎣 Fishing Line Fix
Other players can finally see your fishing line again while you’re reeling in a catch.
No more haunted invisible lines — it’s all very normal and not cursed at all. We promise. 👀

🔊 VOIP Stability
We've done some tinkering to improve voice chat stability.
Still a bit tricky to pin down, but it should be more reliable now. If it's still acting up, let us know — this one's a sneaky one. :c
That’s it for now — thanks again for sticking with us, and for all the bug reports, chaos, and cursed fish energy. More updates soon!
❤️

Hey fishers! 🐟
We’ve reeled in a couple of slippery bugs that managed to flop their way into the build:
🪣 Starter Area Crash Fix
Some of you discovered that casting a line in the starter area as a non-host caused the whole game to go belly-up.
Turns out, we forgot to tell the game there was fresh trash to be found there… whoops! 😅 That’s sorted now — cast away without fear!
🔌 Connection Stability
We’ve tightened up the bolts on session disconnects and reconnects. Things should feel a lot more stable now when hopping back into a crew.
Thanks again for reporting these, and for being part of the chaos with us. Keep the bug reports coming — and maybe a few fish, too.
❤️
