About the Game
Dwarf Eats Mountain is a strategic incremental game about devouring mountains for gold. Hire dwarves, deploy war machines, and collect powerful artifacts to build absurd synergies and grow faster each run.
Hurting the mountain physically (and emotionally) is only half the battle—you still have to safely haul the gold home. That perilous job falls to the Runners, who weave through falling rocks, risking their beards to feed the Great Maw!
But beware—the Great Mother won’t give up her treasure easily. The more damage your greedy dwarves deal to the mountain, the more calamities it unleashes upon the wobbling beards below!

This game is about making numbers go up, but the way you do that is open to your interpretation and ingenuity. At your fingertips:

- Endless Artifacts can now be right-clicked to be auto-picked each time after 5 seconds.
- Fixed the "Collect all artifacts" Steam Achievement not working due to endless artifacts.
- Fixed some Ascension save issues.
- Fixed Air Strike giving lower chance than it should.

- Added Endless Artifacts. These special artifacts can be endlessly dropped by all artifact yielding mechanics, after all non-T5 artifacts have been collected. There are 3 types: 1. gives +0.5% damage to all dwarves, 2. gives +0.5% gold value to all ores, 3. gives +1 PP.
- Added new T6 prestige upgrade: King Of The Spire - "Rank 1: When reaching The Great World Spire, the event now automatically starts after 10 seconds. (This was moved here from Primordial Hunger). -Rank 2: The Great World Spire no longer stops you from progressing if you're missing any artifacts. Requires Ascension Rank 1. Rank 2 requires Ascension Rank 5.
- Added two more ranks to the T6 prestige upgrade "Vault of Gods".
- Buffed Air Strike damage from 20% to 30% base (thus from 60% to 90% at T4 Nuclear Research).
- Air Strike rockets now use the Cannon's crit chance (it was static 5% before).
- Further improved how save file handling works, added a steam cloud rollback protection, and added another .sess.json save file type that keeps a snapshot of the save at session start, so that if all else fails, it at least reverts to that instead of the player losing everything.
- Alchemy result panel now automatically closes after 6 seconds.
- The "Delete Save" button and the "Begin Game" button in the prestige screen, now need to be held for a moment to prevent missclicks.
- Fixed bugs that could sometimes spawn duplicate artifacts.
- Fixed some GUI and Settings panel issues.
- Fixed Insatiable Guzzler sometimes working improperly after using Great Inhale ritual.
- Fixed other various minor issues, such as damage numbers not mirroring for wrecking ball, etc.
- Added an internal save backup system, which acts as a safety net against silent write failures (AV locks, steam cloud, crash mid-write, sleep shenanigans, etc), to prevent those rare save losing cases.
- Additional fixes for the bonus PP from previous hotfix resetting.
- Reduced the costs of Railguns and Railgun Capacitor a bit.
- Further reduced the costs of Nuclear Research and Air Strike, and increased the chance per tier of Air Strike.
- Added the ability to right click on the mountain to toggle Eternal Feasting (auto-clicking) ON/OFF.
- Hopefully safeguarded and fixed the terrible bug that would cause some players to lose all their PP after yesterday's patch. I'm not entirely clear why this happened, but I think it's related to improperly saving and corrupting the save file due to functions like PC sleep or battery death interfering, or antivirus / steam cloud lock, or something that would prevent the game from cleanly saving, especially if you disabled Auto-Save and/or Save-on-quit in the settings, which I suggest never disabling if you run the game idle for long periods. Sorry about that. As a small compensation every save file that prestiged at least once will get 50 PP when launching the game.
- Primordial Hunger now has: "After every 100%, the excess chance rolls for one more PP."
- Fixed some additional Big Number rounding issues.
- Fixed free scientists and runesmiths sometimes not spawning after buying Foundations of Stone.
- Fixed Megapick sometimes weirdly falling to the ground if Clusterpick triggered.
- Added ability to SHIFT + CLICK on dwarf unit or upgrade to buy it up to 3 times at once.
- Added ability to CTRL + SHIFT + CLICK to buy an entire row of prestige upgrades (automatically spending all PP from left to right).
- Added a new T6 prestige upgrade: Foundations of Stone - "-Rank 1: You start the game with all non-prestige buildings already constructed. -Rank 2: Ctrl + Shift + Click any dwarf hire button to instantly buy all free units across all buildings at once. Requires Ascension Rank 1.".
- Added a new T6 prestige upgrade: Primordial Hunger - "Every time you consume a mountain after level 100, you have +2% chance to gain +1 PP. Additionally, when reaching The Great World Spire, the event now starts automatically after 10 seconds. You can buy this upgrade 2 times per Ascension rank.".
- Buffed Massive Balls crit-damage-multiplier.
- Buffed Wrecking Ball falling damage multiplier by flat +10% per tier and den damage multiplier by flat +5% per tier.
- Buffed Artillery Mastery from 0.4/0.8/1.2/1.6% to 0.6/1.2/1.8/2.5% damage per specialist.
- Buffed Air Strike chance from 2.0/2.5/3.0/3.5/4.0/4.5/5.0/6.0% to 4.0/5.0/6.0/7.0/8.0/9.0/10.0/12.0% and increased rocket count from 2-6 to 3-6.
- Reduced the gold and mithril cost of Nuclear Research.
- Reduced the gold and mithril cost of Air Strike.
- Reduced the early mithril cost of Wrecking Ball.
- Added number formatting to the Stats panel, which also prevents them from being cut off when massive.
- Slightly buffed WindBomb power and radius, and doubled how much force it gains from I'm A Power Load.
- Megapick now always hits both dens and mountain together.
- Fixed prestiging very rarely deleting the save file on some systems. Hopefully. This was a very tough and frustrating bug to crack. I'm very sorry if you lost progress because of it, but if you wish, one of our lovely community members on the discord can help you get faster on the mountain eating horse by sharing a save file.
- Fixed GPM Session Average and GPM Whole Run Average not properly refreshing/retaining after game reload.
- Fixed prestige upgrades sometimes not applying or double-applying after game reload. This could've have indirectly buffed or nerfed some units.
- Fixed the issue where if you had 0 spendable PP and reloaded the game during the prestige screen, the prestige screen would not reopen and you'd lose all the prestige bonuses.
- Fixed Sound sometimes playing even when muted.
- Fixed spelunker's PP base odds reduction resetting after game reload.
- Total ore count now also displays ore count without ores carried by runners.
- Fixed some late game Big Number issues, where damage could be displayed as 0 or 1.
- Fixed and improved various texts and localizations.
- Optimized saving/loading the game, which should make it faster in the very late game.
- Other tweaks and fixes.

- When you Ascend you now gain +25 PP per ascension rank, instead of +10 PP.
- Added new T6 prestige upgrade: Ascended Gold Cache - "Start the game with +25,000 gold per rank. You can buy this upgrade 1 time per Ascension rank.".
- Added new T6 prestige upgrade: Endless Mithril Fortune - "Increases Mithril-Luck of all dwarves by +2. You can buy this upgrade 2 times per Ascension rank.".
- Added new T6 prestige upgrade: Ancestral Halls - "After you Ascend you start with the following prestige upgrades already unlocked: Tier 1: Manufactorum and Spelunker's Guild. Tier 2: Geode Sanctum and Meadhall. Tier 3: Shrine.".
- Ascended Soul Cache now gives 2 souls per rank instead of 1.
- Ascended Mithril Cache now gives 6 mithril per rank instead of 3.
- Endless Conquest gives +0.25% damage and +0.10% per ascension rank, instead of +0.15% and +0.05%.
- The 6 unit specific endless upgrades now give +5% damage per rank instead of +3%.
- Golden World now makes all ores worth 0.30% more gold and +0.25% per ascension rank, instead of 0.25% and +0.15%.
- Nauglamir T5 artifact (obtained from Triple Seal Gate) now has a new Passive effect: "Whenever you gain PP from eating a mountain, you have 50% chance to gain double the amount.".
- Slightly buffed Mithril-Luck stat.
- Buffed Mithril Pickaxes and added 3 more tiers.
- Buffed Thunderboom Tips and added 3 more tiers.
- Added hotkey "I" for Alchemy ritual. (I'm also looking into adding a "hotbar", where you can see all the ritual hotkeys and their current cooldowns!)
- Made Alchemy increase its mithril cost every 25 uses instead of every 20.
- Slightly buffed the chance of getting T5 artifacts with Treasure Hunters and Alchemy.
- Made ore clicking feel better (it no longer goes on CD when there is no ore within range)
- Made Great Maw collision box a bit bigger in hopes to prevent artifacts sometimes getting stuck right next to it.
- Fixed Forge Artifact sometimes failing even though there were still T5 artifacts go give.
- Fixed Tier 4 Runes obtained from Great Grom Altar from disappearing after reloading the game.
- Fixed Great Mother Altar Tier 3 incorrectly affecting some costs.
- Fixed Gorilla Arms not counting Cyberdwarf tier for its chance.
- Fixed Denbreaker upgrades sometimes incorrectly affecting one unit more than others.
- Fixed boss mountain sprites sometimes persisting too long.
- Dragon and Balrogg bosses no longer cause a "game over" and force you to prestige if you fail to beat them, instead they allow you to carry on just like Goblin King and Golem. This was done because I believe it no longer serves the intended purpose I initially envisioned and it only made the game less fun.
- Buffed Great Duke Cannon base damage by 20.
- Buffed Artillery Mastery scaling.
- Buffed Air Strike scaling and doubled the bonus from Nuclear Research and Gyrocopters.
- Slightly reduced gold costs of Great Duke Cannon upgrades.
- Buffed POWER OVERWHELMING by +0.5 damage per tier.
- Buffed C.L.U.S.T.E.R.P.I.C.K. and added another 2 tiers to it.
- Buffed MEGAPICK base damage and scaling with miners.
- Fixed Key Master sometimes not applying properly to Den drop chance.
- Fixed Triune Prism sometimes not properly counting Stonecallers.
- Fixed Laser Cannons incorrectly rounding their cooldown.
- Fixed artifacts displaying English non-localized names in the hover-over tooltip.
- Fixed Sanctification ritual not properly updating and saving its costs
- Fixed Enchant Primal Power and Zealous Fury to display correct warning message.
- Fixed being able to use ritual hotkeys before the rituals were unlocked
- Fixed Laser Cannons and Great Duke Cannons losing their mithril cost after reload.
More buffs and fixes to follow.
I also plan to make Ascension more rewarding.
Plus various QoL stuff you guys suggested, and more.
- Fixed various Windowed mode resizing, aspect ratio, black bars, GUI misalignment and resetting-after-prestige issues, hopefully for good. This should also fix the related Linux and Steam Deck issues.
- Nerfed Flamelords a bit more. It's 2x damage now instead of 3x. And increased CD by 4 seconds. More might follow after tomorrow when I will take a better look at overall DPS picture in the late game, in order to buff all the other units that need a buff, so that Flamelords aren't the only dominant choice.
- Buffed Key Master a bit more.
- Couple other minor fixes and typos.
- Boss artifacts now give more PP and beating the Great World Spire gives +30 PP.
- Buffed the odds of getting T5 quest artifacts from Treasure Hunters, Forge Artifact and Alchemy.
- Buffed how much Great Shabu Altar's Tier 1 increases the odds of getting T5 quest artifacts.
- Buffed Key Master prestige upgrade and added another tier.

- Fixed an issue where prestiging on a widescreen monitor would make the whole game stretched with wrong aspect ratio. (This can potentially still occur on some setups/situations so please let me know)
- Fixed a bunch of visual upgrade-cost bugs.
- Fixed various typos and localization issues, such as upgrade conditions in Cyrillic drawing incorrectly.
- Fixed Steam's Screenshot function not working properly.
