Hello everyone, Fallen Flag Studio here! We hope everyone is doing great; we're excited to share with y'all the latest Eldest Souls balance changes!
Many of these changes have been inspired by our Community, and are aimed at spicing up a little some Shards while also giving a much needed balance pass to some of the bosses to finesse the experience for both old and new players!

Hello everyone! This update includes the new Speed Run Mode containing some community-requested features, a bunch of bug-fixes and a small balance pass. We're committed to continue making the game better, so please continue sharing your feedback with us!
Fixed an issue that caused Eksyll to sometimes delay his special attacks for too long. (Special attacks: Tile attacks during Phase 1, Boss shards attacks during phase 2)
Fixed an issue that caused Eksyll to begin Phase 03 with ~20% less HP than intended
Fixed an issue that caused Eksyll's Phase 03 falling rocks to begin too early.
Chain Fracture - Damage per Berserker stack = 20 → 7
Shoulder Bash - Counter bar generated = 10% → 25%
Heavy Build - Damage and Counter bar % increase = 33% → 45%
Protector's Reach - Travel distance and speed increase = 50% → 75%
Flurry - Number of Flurry's Cuts = 4 → 5 Damage per Flurry's Cut = 8 → 9 Flurry speed and reach = 100% → 120%.
Heavy thrusts - Bonus damage = 75% → 100%
Dev note: Bumping up a few underused talents, while nerfing a Berserk talent that we missed on patch .468
Crimson Counter - Crimson Counter minimum reactivation delay = 0s → 0.15s;
Crimson Slide - Crimson Slide minimum reactivation delay = 0s → 0.15s

Dev note: Grapple is fun but a bit too strong! we won't touch the Cooldown, but tuned other stats a bit down. We also want to make other active shards a bit stronger, will work towards that in the future.
Added Speed Run Mode: Can be activated in settings and enables:
Run timer on top right corner
No death icon on top right corner
No damage icon on top right corner
Game version on bottom right corner
Fixed an issue causing NG+ modifiers (damage taken increase, healing reduced ) to not apply properly in Arena Mode+ fights.
Added a "Retry" button to quickly start a fight again after an Arena encounter is defeated.
Attempting to fix an issue where quitting the game at a specific time while Eksyll is defeated would
cause the game to incorrectly not trigger the NG+ cycle.
Fixed an issue that caused Counter Bar generation to be calculated incorrectly at times.
Fixed an issue causing the NG+ message at the end of a Game Cycle to show the wrong number of
HP % bonus on bosses (was too high). The value is a rough approximation as different bosses gain different %HP bonuses.
Fixed an issue with Chain Fracture localization to better describe it's effect.

Hello y'all! just wanted to give a quick big "thank you" from us Devs for all the players who took the time to play the game, review it, or share their feedback with us over on the Steam Community or Discord.
It's been a great experience, and we're working hard on improving the game, implementing QoL changes and fixing bugs as quickly as we can.
That being said, let's move on to the patch notes!

Balance ---
Boss - Aryana
- Time required for Aryana to switch phases (and destroy the arena) reduced by ~20%
Fighting Styles - Berserker Slash
- Fury Fragments -
Damage % increase per Furious stack = 15% → 12%
- Deepened Fury -
Fury Fang increase when collecting a fragment = 25% → 20%
- Chain Reaction -
damage = 30 → 15
- Reckless Fragmentation -

Dev note:
we don't want to kill the "crazy damage zerk / fury fragment builds" , but hopefully reducing a little bit of its numbers will open up the other branch and fighting styles a bit more.

Dev note:
We think counter tree provides an interesting play-style, but it turned out that full builds can gain huge amounts of shield sustain.
We're toning shields down a bit, while increasing the overall damage to make the branch as a whole (hopefully) scale better into the late-game / ng+ builds.
Fighting Styles - Windslide
- Windslide -
Number of Windslide slashes (with full bar) = 5 → 6
Windslide slashes damage (with full bar) = 10 → 12
- Leafstorm -
base damage of Stormleaf (scales with charge attack amount) = 10 → 20
- Storm's Eye -

Dev note:
For the unfortunate few of you who played our Beta Steam Demos, you might or might not remember Windslide being a DPS monster, making the other branches look quite underwhelming.
It seems like our previous adjustments have pushed Windslide a bit too low for what we'd like to see, so we're carefully reverting some of the beta nerfs.
Fixes and QoL ---
- Fixed a Camera issue that could prevent proper tracking of the middle-point between the Player and the Boss.
- Updated/fixed resolution to include all solutions and not only matching to Aspect Ratio.
- Fixed stats rounding in main menu and arena mode stats.
- Fixed player occasionally dying when travelling to the Nightmare while dashing.
- Fixed instance where player could get stuck on frozen statues in the spire.
- Fixed instance where player could get stuck on benches at the entrance of the Sanctuary.
- Fixed instance where shield could effect appear in the player HUD even when HUD is off.
- Fixed instance where player could die to Drakmur Mirrors during Eksyll transition phase (added immunity to player).
- Fixed instance where Wild Hunt active shard buff could reset improperly at times.
- Fixed instance where Hyem HUD frozen particle could remain incorrectly on player stamina bar.
- Fixed instance where Hyem Ice Waves particles might not play particles properly after some time.
- Updated Singularity Orb infusion copies to avoid incorrect collision with bosses.
- Added Enrage particles for Warden of Purity.
- Updated warning particle for various Warden of Purity Attacks
- Replaced the Warden of Purity's "Expanding ring" that followed a Fist Attack during enrage with a different, circle-shaped AoE. This was done due to the expanding ring hitbox & visual not being clear enough.
- Updated Deer God Lilies visuals to make mechanics more clear.
- Updated spawn position of Eksyll's Iron Crusher, now beginning closer to the boss.
- Added more consistent pushback and small immunity frame when player kills one of the EOS orbs.
- Disabled EOS parallax effect in Arena due to issues, working on more permanent solution.
- Reduced Hyem's Enrage Animation camera zoom to keep player in the shot.
