About the Game
The graphics are simple, just like a real tracon radar display, but the underlying mechanics are detailed and polished. Compared to other games in the genre, this game combines the realism of hardcore simulators, with the ease of use of arcade ATC games.
The sim includes 9 airports, each with a scenario and unlimited random traffic, providing many hours of gameplay.

Changelog for v5.8.6:
Plane labels can be moved around freely, using the Shift key + left mouse button. This can be handy to avoid overlapping labels in busy areas. The default label position of all planes can also be adjusted using the Ctrl key + left mouse button. The keys can be customized in the Controls menu (press F7, see page 2 and 6). To reset the position back to default, simply press the Label button in the Display menu.

For custom airports:
All routes in an \ section are now available in-game by pressing the APP button multiple times. In earlier versions, just 1 route was selected (it would select the route which best matched the 'bearing' given for that route, meaning you could only choose 1 route per runway). Now all routes are available, sorted from best to worst bearing.
Approach routes can intercept the ILS as low as a height of 300 feet.
Departures on a route can resume their route, for example after a plane had been given a heading. Or it can get a shortcut to a waypoint further ahead on the route. This is only possible when the location of a certain waypoint of the route matches another defined beacon/sid point in the file. You can then drag a heading onto that waypoint, and SID mode will be enabled with the route continuing from that waypoint.
Fixed a bug where the custom maximum altitude of a plane on a departure route did not always apply (this is regarding the 'above' override feature for routes, that was introduced recently in v5.8.4 to allow for lateral handoffs).
Fixed incorrect drawing location of 'text' and 'label' in the \ section. To make sure older custom airport files look unchanged, the corrected properties have been renamed to 'bgtext' and 'bglabel'.
- Fix incorrect plane description when doing a speed adjustment after approach clearance.
- Localizer intercept point of approach routes can be placed anywhere on the extended localizer.
- Fix incorrect localizer intercept point of approach routes to runways with a displaced threshold.
- Planes on approach routes with speed restrictions can reduce down to final approach speed.
- Bug fixes:
- Fix for the Alt key sometimes getting stuck after Alt-Tabbing.
- Fix for key bindings sometimes not saving after changing them.
- Fix for the Alt key sometimes getting stuck after Alt-Tabbing.
- Adjustments:
- All localizer ranges are extended by 2 miles, so the default range is now 25 miles from touchdown, similar to most runways in real life. It makes controlling slightly easier during busy hours.
- The separation alarm will be inhibited when selecting the affected plane, even if that plane was already selected.
- In the runways menu, the 'virtual score' setting no longer affects traffic rates of secondary airports. It only activates more runways.
- Expanded the translations file.
- Minor changes to handoff readbacks.
- All localizer ranges are extended by 2 miles, so the default range is now 25 miles from touchdown, similar to most runways in real life. It makes controlling slightly easier during busy hours.
- For custom airports:
- Added 'localizer_range' and 'glideslope_range' properties to runways, allowing airport creators to change to the default usable ILS ranges per runway.
- Background text and labels are now also shown when 'Bgtext' setting is at 'limited'.
- Planes obey speed restrictions on routes even after giving speed instructions, so planes behave like they did before version 5.8.
- Departures can be handed off near the boundary when the selected altitude is higher than the 'diversionaltitude'. Before, planes needed to climb above the ceiling (so to the 'above' altitude) before handoffs were possible. Now, departures can leave the airspace while flying level. When using departure routes, there's also the option to override the default 'above' altitude, allowing for level handoffs at lower altitudes.
- The traffic now resets by a short press on the custom airport button, and a long press shows airport details.
- The 'speedrestriction' property is split into 'speed_near_airport' and 'speed_below_altitude' for more clarity. 'Zoom' is renamed to 'defaultzoom' to allow for more zoom-out. Old files are unaffected.
- Added 'localizer_range' and 'glideslope_range' properties to runways, allowing airport creators to change to the default usable ILS ranges per runway.
- Adjustment to avoid arriving airplanes spawning too close behind slow airplanes.
- For custom airports:
- Increased the airspace radius limit.
- Added 'textpos' property to ; this is for adding centered altitude labels. Older custom airports can keep using the old 'labelpos' (for uncentered altitude text). This change will make everything look the same after updating the game to v5.8.
- Added new 'label' option to , which works similar to the 'text' option, but instead of centering the text at a given position, it is anchored top-left to the given position, similar to how beacons are labeled.
- Increased the airspace radius limit.
Hotfix v5.8.3 (4 February):
- Fixed a bug (that was introduced in v5.8.2), where boundary coordinates were incorrectly loaded.
A minor update:
Fixed an issue with the 'range' diplay setting, which could cause a crash when changing the setting.
Fixed an issue with unexpected speed changes for planes on approach routes that end on a heading.
Minor adjustment to the font size of the infotext at the bottom of the screen.
Changes in version 5.7.6:
Option to keep weather conditions constant, instead of random variation over time. See the 'Variable' button in the Weather menu.
Fix for the Fast forward key (F11) not working reliably on screens with high refresh rates.
Minor improvements to readbacks.
For custom airports: planes on approach routes reduce their speed more timely when there are speed restrictions; fix for issue with enabling/disabling Nav mode; fix for airspace 'floor' not selectable.
A small update:
Fixed a game crash that could happen at RJTT with clouds.
Improved ILS detection when a plane overshoots the localizer before intercepting the localizer from the other side.
Added a hint to explain how to do parallel ILS approaches without incidents (for example, intercept runway 4R at 2000 feet, and runway 4L at 3000 feet; this will keep the planes 1000 feet apart till they are on the localizer).
- Fixed an issue with the random weather setting, which was not always working correctly when resetting the traffic.
- Fixed a crash that could happen when arrivals were crossing a localizer with ILS mode off.
- Fixed a crash on game startup on some devices.
- Fixed a game crash that could happen when new arrivals enter a holding.
- Fixed an issue regarding airline selection at custom airports with secondary airports.
- Fixed occasional incorrect pilot calls and TTS errors.
- Fixed the auto-switching of the control bar position when resizing the window. To manually adjust the control bar position, longpress the Bar button in the Display menu.
- For custom airports, an adjustment was made that should prevent planes from flying circles around a waypoint. Plus a fix for a game crash that could happen when arrivals to secondary airports where spawning.
- Corrected/updated several call signs and plane types.
Changelog of this small update:
- Improved accuracy of zooming towards the cursor when using the scroll wheel to zoom (if relative zooming is enabled in the F7 menu).
- Corrected ILS pronunciation in readbacks.
- Emergency planes can now select higher speeds (above the usual 250KT limit).
- Improved callsign selection based on plane spawn location; the callsign selection is now less random but more based on the 'spawn directions' as defined in the airline list of custom airports.
- Slightly reduced the separation minima for departures just after takeoff; this should avoid incidents at custom airports with minimum altitudes close to the ground. At the default airports, the minimum altitude of at least 1500 feet avoids triggering of incidents anyway.
- Bug fix for planes that could have both ILS and HOLD modes enabled at the same time, causing game instability.
- Bug fix for occasional incorrect plane spawn altitude when multiple runways are in use.
- Bug fix for emergency planes being unable to select the runway fixes of alternate destinations.
- fixes a compatibility issue with older airport files,
- fixes a possible issue with dpi scaling.
