FIXES
- The 5000 animals purchased achievement was not working correctly. Fixed.
- Labels in habitats were not appearing after the habitat became completely empty and animals were placed again. Fixed.
ADDED & ADJUSTED
The points received after leveling up the shop have been rebalanced. The new point system is as follows:
Levels 1–10: shop level ×4
Levels 11+: shop level ×2
The (+) and (-) scale keys for wall decorations can now be reassigned to other keys.
- Fish could be placed into an aquarium without water if it had an employee tag. It is now no longer possible to drain water from an aquarium that has an employee tag. Fixed.
- When entering build mode, the employee placing animals would forget their task. Fixed.
- When we boxed baby snakes that hatched from eggs so the employee could place them, the employee would change the snake’s morph while placing it into the habitat. Fixed.
Based on player requests:
Employees are no longer allowed to randomly place dogs and cats. (Players can still place them randomly themselves.)
- Fixed a bug where snake hatchlings obtained by cutting snake eggs would change their morph to the default snake when picked up from the box and placed back into a habitat.
- Fixed an issue where if the box an employee was going to pick up to place an animal into a habitat was in the player's hand, the employee would take it directly from the player. This prevented the player from interacting with the environment. Employees will now ignore boxes held by the player.
Thank you for contributing to the development of the game with your feedback and suggestions.
Hello,
Today, we are releasing the 1.1.6.0 update, which includes new features, changes, and fixes you requested!
Changelog:
ADDED
A standard clean-and-care staff member can activate this task via a button in the task assignment panel.
Activating the button does not prevent the employee from performing cleaning and care duties. The staff member will carry an animal only when there is one to transport and will continue handling other cleaning and care tasks afterward.
Note: The animal transport employee does not separate cats, dogs, and otters by type or color. Animals may be placed together in the same habitat (for example, a white cat and an orange cat).
A labeling system has been added to habitats. This allows players to quickly order animals at the terminal tablet even when the habitat is empty and ensures that the staff member transporting them places them in the correct locations.
For the employee to perform this task properly, the habitat label must be enabled (the checkbox must be checked).
Important notice: Animals at Level 0 (including newborn animals) can be converted back into boxes. Employees only check the boxes; they do not check the animals in the carry bag.
CHANGED
Increased the brightness of all lights that can be placed inside the shop.
EXP and Breed supplements used in habitats previously decreased by 1% per game check; this rate has been changed to 5%.
FIXED
Fixed an issue where pressing “R” while holding a box would quick-sell the product but lock the player’s hand.
Fixed frame drops that occurred every 10 seconds when multiple warehouse workers (3 or more) were constantly checking for tasks while idle.
Fixed text overflowing on the green button in the sign edit section.
Corrected the Stingray pop-up message that previously indicated compatibility with a medium aquarium. It now correctly states that it requires a large aquarium.
Fixed an issue where customers refused to purchase sellable bird incubation boxes.
ADDED
Habitats can now be moved even when animals are inside them.
The Item Tree now shows the objects required by items.
If the exact number of animals requested by a customer is not available (e.g., 3 males and 2 females), the cashier will now check current stock and provide whatever is available instead (e.g,. 1 male and 2 females).
CHANGED
The customer's morning spawn time has been moved forward by 1 hour.
Added a swimming animation for cats and dogs if they enter the otter pool.
FIXED
Fixed the bug that allowed repeatedly taking out snakes with the “C” key during the snake cutting process.
Fixed an issue where customers would stand still.

Today’s update also brings the first feature from our roadmap: Quick Sell. This helpful addition makes it easier to manage excess animals and overstocked products, and it’s just the beginning of what’s to come.
Exotica 2 keeps growing and improving thanks to your feedback. We’ll keep listening, making changes, and building the game together with you. Thank you for your support. More updates are coming soon.
Game Update (1.1.5.7)
ADDED
Quick Sell has been added to the game. You can now sell surplus animals you’ve bred, as well as accidentally over-ordered products and animals, at the same price:
Items inside cardboard boxes
Habitats inside cardboard boxes
Purchased animals (while in boxes or transport carriers)
Animals inside habitats
Food, accessories, and sellable habitats
Key bindings are now saved.
A warning message has been added to prevent placing some large fish species into small aquariums.
The warehouse worker will now also stock sellable habitats on shelves, just like they already do with food and accessories.
FIXED
Snake prices were being calculated too high in terminal orders.
The prices of hamsters and hamster wheels were resetting after closing and reopening the game.
Screen shifting occurred during snake breeding when collecting baby snakes.
During the snake egg-cutting process, pressing Enter at the end of the day caused the mouse to disappear, preventing the Apply button from being pressed and the egg-cutting screen from closing.
Ending the day with the Enter key after cutting snake eggs was not working.
The player camera shift caused by the egg-cutting camera has been fixed.
The issue with employees shifting on the X and Y coordinates has been fixed.
An issue where the Switcher assigned lights incorrectly during loading has been fixed.
Dogs selected and ordered via the terminal were coming in a single color; they now arrive in random colors.
A dramatic FPS drop and freezing occurred when the warehouse worker was querying tasks.
When products were missing from shelves or boxes needed to be placed, the warehouse worker would wander randomly; this has been reduced, and workers now query tasks directly.
CHANGES
New Wishlist Creation
When creating a new customer wishlist, animals are always prioritized.
If any animal is for sale in the shop, the customer will always request that animal and its related products.
The system checks each animal type available in the shop and selects them in order.
For each selected animal type, the system checks all available subspecies and adds them to the wishlist sequentially.
Example:
Your shop has Freshwater Fish, Marine Fish, Parrot, and Lizard.
These animal types are selected one by one, in order.
When Parrot is selected:
Scarlet Macaw
Blue-and-yellow Macaw
African Grey (Jako)
This continues until all animal types and their subspecies are selected.
(Previously, all animals were checked, one was selected randomly, and the wishlist was created based on that random choice.)
Removed widgets from product names to improve performance. Product names are no longer shown on labels because some fonts do not work well in other languages. Now, only the product image and price appear on labels. Product names still show at the bottom-left of the screen. This change affects products on store shelves, boxes on warehouse shelves, and boxes received through orders.
The maximum number of animals you can place outdoors has been lowered in the settings.
A $25,000 loan option is now available.
Thank you for your support. More updates are coming soon!
