About the Game
My dying father’'s last words: “'Be greedy.”' —— Goblin Vyke
Run your very own goblin shop in a medieval world. Goblin Vyke is a 2D side-scrolling game that blends stealth with shop management. You are Vyke the goblin, a thief who sneaks into dungeons to plunder treasures by night, and a merchant who sells the loot for massive profits by day. You’ll master your stealth skills and cheat death to steal the Demon Lord’s secret fortunes, while simultaneously hiring employees and expanding your franchise to grow your business. Eventually, you’ll rise from a penniless goblin to an influential black-market tycoon!
The Golden Dungeon is fraught with danger, and as a small, frail goblin, you can’t win a straight fight against any foe—but you have other choices. Throw Coinbeetles that turn into bells to attract enemies, set Nap Traps to put guards to sleep, use Smoke Mimics to cover your escape. Use a variety of abilities and items to outsmart and “kite” your enemies.
Deadly dungeon traps? Turn the tables by luring enemies into the traps, setting up a lethal game of hide-and-seek. Explore hidden areas and discover untold treasures. Every path might lead to unexpected surprises—or fatal dangers. Steal weapons from enemies’ hands, grab loot from treasure chests, and complete a spectacular theft right under the nose of Death!
Search, Steal, and Evacuate

Upgrading your talent tree doesn’t just enhance your exploration and survival abilities—it also unlocks different playstyles! Go for the Agile Thief build: use your Grappling Hook to escape pursuits and Shadow Rewind to return to position, completely throwing enemies off. Prefer the Cunning Tactician build? Toss Coinbeetles to manipulate enemies’ movements or Play Dead until the coast is clear. Or choose the Aggressive Brute build: leap from heights to Stun Stomp enemies, or even stand in front of a guard and snatch their equipment with a Steal Parry!
Backpack capacity is limited, and loot takes up different numbers of slots. Will you use items to boost your survival chances, or bring them back to sell for profit? Manage your inventory wisely, explore item combos, and make crucial choices between risk and reward.
Agile Thief or Aggressive Brute?

The treasures you stole last night must be sold for a golden price today! The rules are simple: roll the dice multiple times and pair them with the appropriate Haggle Skills to increase the customer’s Persuasion. Convince the customer, and you can sell the items for up to three times the original price. But be careful: if you exceed the required Persuasion points, the customer will immediately turn against you.
Display Collectibles in your shop to help grow your sales. Remember: your eloquence determines your wealth. Bombastic sales pitches, the right Collectibles, and a bit of luck will make customers willingly empty their wallets for your secondhand items at extraordinary prices.
Roll the Dice and Raise the Price, but Don’t Oversell

The story begins with you as a little goblin drowning in debt. But as your thieving skills improve and your shop business booms, the tide begins to turn. Recruit employees with different attributes: the “Man of Steel” never gets stranded, the “Storage Expert” carries a bigger backpack, the “Squishy” one dies permanently when injured, and the “Lazy” one brings back very little.
As you expand your influence by opening franchise locations, powerful figures will come knocking at your door, currying favor and asking for your assistance. The Adventurers’ Guild, a mysterious organization... Everyone wants to win you over. One day, even the Demon Lord of the Golden Dungeon will take notice of you, hoping you’ll become her new emissary!

Since the launch of Goblin Vyke, we have received an incredible amount of love from our community, alongside a wealth of constructive criticism, suggestions, and skepticism. Whether praising the game or expressing frustration, we have carefully read every single piece of feedback and engaged in deep continuous discussions within the team.
In organizing the feedback, we gradually found ourselves focusing on one core question: Where exactly do the "frustration," "helplessness," and "anger" that players experience stem from? More importantly, how can we adjust our game design so that different types of players can consistently enjoy the thrill and fun the game has to offer?
In past versions, many of you encountered a similar bottleneck: as you progressed through the stages, enemies became increasingly dangerous, yet player progression felt unstable. To secure better Bone Shards or ideal random outcomes, players often had to rely heavily on save-loading to try again and again—otherwise, they were met with endless failure. This tedious loop was never the experience we originally intended to create.
We have always believed that a player's growth should stem from their own active choices, tactical planning, and resource accumulation, rather than relying on constant loading.
Therefore, in Version 1.1.0, we have concentrated our adjustments around a single core mission:
[img src="{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45648446/c8104506f88e493201ed7383c6fe03a360662f7c.png"]
To achieve this, we have optimized several pivotal systems in this new update: Players can now secure steady progression by purchasing permanent buffs via the Mask System; the Bone Shard system now features a lower carrying cap but offers a much more controllable and stable upgrade process; Cursed Chests now support Gold-based rerolls to decrease reliance on save-loading; randomized processes like sales have been shifted to a pre-seeded logic sequence that no longer resets via SL; meanwhile, we have recalibrated the difficulty tiers to make Cautious Mode a smoother ride, while making Greed Mode significantly more challenging.
Through these changes, we hope you can plan your progression path with a clearer, more stable rhythm, and tackle the game's challenges with a wider variety of strategies and builds.
Based on the philosophies above, the specific details of the V1.1.0 update are as follows:
Difficulty Rebalance
Difficulty Tiers Rework: In Cautious Mode, added a 50% damage reduction modifier. "Hard" negotiation difficulty will no longer appear; In Greed Mode, added a 200% damage taken modifier. Mortgage amounts have been increased, and "Easy" negotiation difficulty will no longer appear; In Real Mode, All negotiation difficulties are locked to "Hard," and the mortgage amount has been scaled up to 10x.
Save-Loading Mechanics Overhaul: Save-loading will no longer alter randomized outcomes during sales, negotiations, and other events. It can no longer be used to refresh the attributes of customers, employees, franchisees, or Cursed Chest buffs.
Bone Shard System Optimization: Upon a failed upgrade, the success rate for the next attempt will temporarily increase by 10% until your next success; Only the highest-level shard of the exact same type will take effect; Upon death, Bone Shards will only drop by one level, rather than breaking entirely. Only the lowest-level shards will break; Bone Shards can now be fed to Cursed Chests.
Mask Buff System Rework: All buff effects have been reworked and will now permanently take effect upon purchase, unlocking gradually based on your game progression.
Cursed Chest Gold Rerolls: When crafting Cursed Charms, you can now consume Gold to reroll the buff options. The price will escalate with each subsequent reroll.
Quality of Life Improvements

You can now automatically organize your bag with a single click during the night phase.

A Final Note
We are fully aware that as our team's very first title, Goblin Vyke still has many rough edges and areas to improve. We humbly ask for your continued guidance, and we will keep pushing forward to optimize and update the game. Thank you once again to every single "little goblin" who has supported us along this journey.
Every piece of your feedback helps us light the path toward a better game. We eagerly look forward to hearing more of your voices in the future.
