Hello hunters, we’ve got an exciting update for Hunting Simulator 2 to tell you about today.
We know you’ve been waiting, and during these difficult times we thank you for your patience regarding certain issues with the game. The team have been working flat-out to bring you improvements, as well as more content and graphical updates. For the expert hunter, there’s even something new to find… more about that shortly, but first our patch notes.
Graphical
-Improved tree shading
-Improved tree textures for some trees
-Improved lighting scenarios for all levels
-New lighting in walkable lodge menu, weapon room, bedroom, store menu.
Gameplay
-All binoculars are now able to spot animals
-When claiming an animal, you can now view a comparison with your trophy. A popup will also appear when selecting "Keep as trophy" to prevent accidental replacement
-Added ability to view trophy statistics inside the hunter's lodge (only animals you’ve hunted and selected as trophies AFTER the patch are eligible for stats)
-Added legendary animals to the game.
-Iron sights now properly play their animation
-Corrected size of grizzly bears. Collected trophies will automatically display the corrected size
-You can now switch targeted animal faster
-Improved weapon vibrations

Hello hunters!
Our first major patch is here and available to download now. Most of the fixes include quality of life improvements, but we also had loads of great feedback from the community (especially those pesky rabbits!) and implemented improvements here too. The update should be around a 3GB download.

Gameplay changes and new features
- Rabbits, hares and turkeys can now be hunted regardless of their sex.
- Player can get closer to rabbits without spooking them <<< Yes!
- Added auto-walk to game. New players have it bound by default to Dpad right/Keyboard Z. Existing players don't have it bound to prevent possible conflict with existing bindings, but can manually rebind it under Options > Controller/Keyboard Bindings
- Add functionality to erase all markers on map from selected animals
- Simple distance meter in the right corner of the screen, toggled on when they enter an appropriate range
- Shows where the last shot landed on a range target, similar to how the claim screen shows organ hits
- Enable fast-travel from the map menu, without having to be near a cabin or tent

- Added senses triangle, which can be enabled under Options > Interface
Based on Smell, Sight, and Sound it will give you a better indication of how aware the animal you are tracking is of you!

General Fixes and adjustments
- Adjusted collision around lakeside Harghita County so player cannot get stuck behind rock
- Fixed bug where player could not equip a scope after equipping a Modern Sporting Rifle
- Fixed distant floating grass in Bandera Region and floating bushes in Roosevelt Forest
- Fixed scoping with smaller scopes being slightly off center
- Fixed scoping with xbolt series rifles not being centered
- Fixed scoping with Sika 85 Carbon Wolf rifle not being centered
- Fix grass growing through concrete in Shooting range
- Fix floating grass in Roosevelt Forest
- Fixed inconsistent spotting animals when using binoculars + range finder optics
- Fixed bug where spamming the Use button with Wind Powder, Scent Lure and Scent Killer items could consume multiple charges instantly
- Fix dog whisperer achievement, companion skill progress bars change color when maxed out
- Diameter of the crossbow bolt was incorrect. Additionally bumped damage slightly, now reliably one shots waterfowl
- Add custom red deer icon for Licenses
- Instant transition in Third person aiming
- Improved shadow casting for the shooting range
- Improved grass types for chihuahuan desert
- Bandera region adjusted ground material + beter dawn setting.
- Fixed bow aiming
Language Specific Fixes
- Fixed age of animal not showing up, if animal is younger than a year.
- Fixed small mismatch between voice-over and subtitle in tutorial
- Fixed age of animal to read X ano(s) instead of ano(s) X
- [German only] Fixed age of animal not showing up properly when claiming animals
