About the Game

Grounded is Obsidian's first-person co-op survival game where you've been shrunk to ant-size and dropped into a suburban backyard. The premise sounds like a kid's movie pitch but the survival mechanics are full-fat — base building, weapon crafting, hunger/thirst/sleep, and an ecosystem of insects that respond to your presence (spiders are genuinely terrifying when they're the size of a Volkswagen). The full storyline takes you from "what happened" through corporate-conspiracy revelations as you find scattered audio logs and tech caches.

Obsidian shipped the 1.0 release in September 2022 and has continued patching through 2024; this download is build 18247588, which includes the Make It and Break It update with creative-mode building tools and the most recent content patches. Up to 4 players in co-op.

Released as OFME (Online-Fix Mod Edition) — co-op works between cracked clients via the mod's relay, no Xbox / Microsoft account required from any player. 11 GB installed. Cross-save with the Microsoft Store version is not supported (different save format).
