hi everyone!
we've been hard at work optimizing our engine in preparation for the release of house 2. finally found some time to port over house 1 to the new engine. this should hopefully eliminate the crashes that have plagued the game. thank you all for your patience. i was working with a slightly older build than the one that was most recently on here, so there may be some missed bugs that have returned or new ones from this engine upgrade. there will be more fixes to come in the near future.

Hey folks.
Just pushed an update to hopefully address some of the crashing. Let me know if this has fixed anything for you or if you are still experiencing crashing. I have also made the game start in Windowed mode to help alleviate the initial load. You can switch to full screen from the in game menu.
Just released a patch to hopefully address some of the crashing people have been experiencing. Not sure if it will eliminate it entirely but should hopefully mitigate it from happening as frequently.

Some of these changes have already been implemented, but I'm going to condense them all here. We have more bugfixes & balance changes on the way, but here is a comprehensive list of what has changed so far. Patch notes contain spoilers for 1.5.

- The piano demon will no longer follow you out of rooms
- Pressing S while holding wine now works as intended
- You can now speak to dad while he is squirming
- Playing Grandma’s song will now summon her if you play it before 2AM
- Adjusted the Piano Demon speed

- Fixed an issue where loading Tabby’s loop from the TV scene would cause the lights in the hallway to remain off
- Fixed an issue where if you died in Tabby's loop you would restart as Melody

- The Frog Lord no longer teabags your corpse
- Fixed an issue where saying no to Marty and then talking to Dolly would cause the game to lock up
- Adjusted the length of Frog Lord stun to 1.5 seconds from 1.0 seconds.

- Fixed an issue that caused the game to soft lock when killing and talking to an npc at the same time
- Fixed an issue that caused the game to freeze when smashing the clock just as the sandwich cutscene plays
- Fixed an issue that allowed Tabby to talk to NPCs while dead
- Fixed an issue that caused the “Talk” interface to remain on screen in the abyss
- Fixed an issue that caused the game to crash during the true ending cutscene (hopefully!)
- Mom now slips on all liquids when carrying sandwiches
- Adjusted hitboxes for giant fingers
- Shotgun now works for killing fingers
- The rat no longer moonwalks
- Fixed an issue that caused the rat to not walk back to the center of the room if he is berserk

- Fixed an issue the caused the game to soft lock if the player speaks to an npc at the same time that mom calls for sandwiches

- Decreased the amount of time it takes for the Seamstress to trip after being alerted
