About the Game
ACT 1 is available at launch. Acts 2 & 3 will release as free updates in the coming months!
FEED THE PIT is a linear, story-driven, investigative horror game where you hunt wealthy individuals through a dangerous card game in order to Feed The Pit, all while avoiding relentless horrors.
A STRANGE INVESTIGATION - THE GAMEPLAY
THE PIT hungers. To feed it, we're sending you to kill people in Carrister Valley. Hidden deep in the woods, your only hope at finding them is with magical cards--each of which asks a unique question about the target's location.
With the right inquiries, you'll narrow down the map until only one possible spot remains. Your card selection is limited--you'll have to play the hand you're dealt. No two investigations are the same.
RELENTLESS MONSTROSITIES
Every mission brings a new monster, acting as your nemesis for the day. Their behavior is a mystery. Take dangerous gambles and pay close attention to discover how they work, and more importantly--how to survive.
WELCOME TO E.C.C.
THE PIT is here to save us. And you've been invited to join his Chosen Circle. We have a higher purpose to serve. A new world order to execute. For Brotherhood. For The Pit.
A complex and branching story lies ahead. What will you do?

BALANCING?
With Challenge Mode's release, we got a lot of feedback about the harder difficulties being far too dependent on luck. Of course, luck is a major part of Feed The Pit no matter what. However, some specific combos created scenarios which were unsurvivable regardless of your skill... boooo not fun!!
The most severe combination has been Roaming Cardmaster + Exploding Cards, so, we've done a bit of work to hopefully prevent this from being an issue as often, and buffed some other things to help balance it out. Now, hopefully, the amount of deaths to sheer bad luck will hopefully be far less! But still not none. Because we are evil and stuff.
Also, to anyone who's beaten SUFFER pre-patch... SUPER CONGRATS TO YOU!!
CHALLENGE MODE TWEAKS
‘Roaming Cardmaster’ challenge has been changed to minimize absolutes. Cardmaster cannot teleport SUPER CLOSE to the player, but also cannot stray too far from the player.
Spores cannot spawn within 2 tiles of the player (increased from 1 tile)
Made spriggan slightly harder based on difficulty
Slightly increased beartrap spawn chance
Beartraps get harder to struggle out of the more you get caught in them
Can play exploding cards ANYWHERE, even if the spot has no value to you (so the player can get rid of the card BEFORE it explodes)
Slightly altered ‘Hostile Wilderness’ and ‘Out of Control’ presets
ENGINE UPGRADE
We upgraded the engine (GODOT) from version 4.4.1 -> 4.7.2
This brings with it:
Fixes some of the crashes people have experienced
Fixes blinding light bug
Minor performance improvement
