The Same High-Stakes VR, Brand New Display
[p align="start"][p align="start"]When you boot up a new Valve headset, you don't just want tech demos—you want high-stakes espionage where a single wrong move sends you to a fiery, kinesium-fueled end.[p align="start"]Once the Frame drops, your briefing folders for two of our prime missions will be dialed in and ready for action:[p align="start"]IEYTD: Reminisce about where Agent Phoenix's death-defying career started. Drive a car out of an airplane cargo hold, stop the buzz of The Hivemind, and immolate the bear archer in full, head-tracked VR precision.
IEYTD 3: Cog in the Machine: Match wits with Dr. Zor’s rogue robots, dodge deadly traps, and manipulate complex gadgets using whatever shiny new motion controllers Valve throws our way.
What "Steam Frame Verified" Means for the Agency
[p align="start"][p align="start"]While Valve works out the final details on their next hardware, here is our guarantee for how the Agency's operations will run on the Steam Frame:[p align="start"]Precision Telekinesis: Grabbing an explosive mid-air and tossing it back at a foe will feel crisp, responsive, and natural.
Crystal-Clear Threat Detection: Every detail of your impending, highly avoidable demise will render in sparkling high definition and reaching 90 fps.
Comfy Swivel Chair Approved: As always, the ultimate agent setup requires zero running around—just sit back in a comfortable chair, wear your headset, and try not to die.
Keep Your Eyes Peeled
[p align="start"][p align="start"]We’re keeping a close watch on Valve's frequencies. We're already featured on the Great on Frame page, and the moment the Steam Frame is officially in agents' hands, IEYTD 1 and 3 will be waiting in the virtual briefing room.[p align="start"]Until then, Agent... do try to stay alive out there.Attention Agents...
The Agency is going global! I Expect You To Die has been translated into new languages. Subtitles and localization were added for English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Japanese and Korean languages.
Stay sharp!
A new update for I Expect You To Die has launched which should help some field agents with their experience taking down Zoraxis. Here's the intel, direct from HQ:
Our public beta with improved Index support has been implemented into the main release.
A new compatibility beta has been implemented to provide improved support for other Agents, including (unofficial) support for Virtual Desktop streaming. This also includes a possible fix for users that were having issues with the Death Engine mission not starting correctly.
The Agency hopes this will make your missions more enjoyable, and as always encourages you to reach out to us via [email protected] if you experience any issues.
Stay sharp out there, Agents!
The Agency is sad to hear that you cannot fulfill your duties due to the auditory complications you’re experiencing.
HQ has recently rolled out a beta that should fix the sound issues Agents are reporting when using the Valve Index.
Here's what we need you to do:
1. Right click on I Expect You To Die in your Steam library
2. Select Properties
3. Select the BETAS tab
4. Select "indexsoundfix" from the dropdown menu
5. Allow the game to update itself
6. Return to your missions and stop the Zoraxis group!
Additionally, while this fix may not address issues for other headsets, The Agency is hard at work investigating a resolution. Never fear, Agents. We'll provide more information when we can.
Until then: Good luck!
