About the Game
Ongakukan and JR East have teamed up to bring you a simulator that has a wealth of experience in train driving simulators. You can experience the professional simulator actually used by JR East drivers for training at home.
Feature
High-definition images of JR East's train lines are captured in live-action. You can drive the train from the same perspective as the driver.
You can enjoy driving from the same point of view as the driver.
The sounds emitted from the trains and tracks in the simulator are recorded by JR East using actual trains, so you can experience the realistic running sounds that a driver would feel comfortable driving.
The instrument panel displays the speedometer and other data just like the actual vehicle, and operates faithfully according to driving operations, speed, etc. The sound and instrument panel display will switch to that of the vehicle when the type of vehicle being experienced is changed.

Vehicle Introduction
209 Series was introduced in 1993 as JR EAST’s next-generation commuter train. It was launched as a mass-production model following the development of the 901 Series prototype. The train underwent a fundamental redesign of its body, bogies, and main circuit system, becoming the cornerstone of JR EAST’s current commuter and suburban trains. The interior features wider seats, partitioning using poles that double as handrails, designated wheelchair spaces, LED station announcement displays above the doors, and chimes to signal door opening and closing—all designed with accessibility in mind.
209-500 Series has operated on the Keihin-Tōhoku and Negishi Lines, the Keiyō Line, local services on the Chūō and Sōbu Lines, and the Musashino Line. It is characterized by a wider body than the conventional 209 Series, designed to increase transport capacity. Primarily due to the replacement of aging rolling stock and the introduction of E233 Series, these trains were deployed across various commuter lines within a short period. They remain in active service on the Keiyō and Musashino Lines; specifically, on the Keiyō Line, only the Keyo 34 set is in operation. This DLC features footage of that Keyo 34 set recorded at the JR EAST Keiyo Rolling Stock Center. With only 170 cars manufactured, they are highly sought after by railway enthusiasts due to their rarity.
This DLC recreates the 209-500 Series, so please enjoy driving this model as it served on various lines.

Unique Selling points
・JRETS's first-ever operation of the E231-500 Series!
・Implementation of in-vehicle announcements and driver voice during operation by active crew members(Handled by: Tsudanuma unification Center)!
・Automatic broadcasting and signal display randomization will also be implemented.!
※Due to filming constraints, some trains will run on tracks different from the actual route.
About the Route
The Chūō・Sōbu Line Local trains operate on a 60.2 km route connecting Chiba Station in Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture, and Mitaka Station in Mitaka City, Tokyo. The journey between these two stations takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. The section between Chiba and Kinshichō Stations runs parallel to the Sōbu Rapid Line, while the section between Ochanomizu and Mitaka Stations runs parallel to the Chūō Limited Express Line. The only section where it operates independently is the 4-station stretch between Kinshichō and Ochanomizu Stations.
Additionally, through service operates between Tsudanuma and Nishi-Funabashi stations and between Nakano and Mitaka stations with the Tokyo Metro Tōzai Line. Within these sections, you can see Tokyo Metro rolling stock and E231-800 series trains.
The Chūō・Sōbu Line local trains run parallel to the rapid line for most of their route and serve numerous transfer stations to other lines, resulting in high passenger volume even outside rush hours. Furthermore, the line is familiar to many people during events, as its route includes sports and concert venues and hosts fireworks displays.
A key feature is that most sections run on elevated tracks. Starting from the suburbs of Chiba Prefecture, the line traverses residential areas, gradually approaching the city center as it crosses rivers like the Edogawa and Arakawa. It then passes through the outer moat of Edo Castle near Yotsuya and the bustling Shinjuku district, continuing on to the western suburbs of Tokyo.
Because the Chūō・Sōbu Local Line traverses the city center from east to west, the character of the train changes mid-journey—from a “train heading from the suburbs to the city center” to a “train heading from the city center to the suburbs.” Enjoy the ride as it crosses the city center, savoring the slowly changing scenery unique to a local train.

・You can operate on four lines: the Tōkaidō Line, Utsunomiya Line,
Takasaki Line, and Shōnan-Shinjuku Line!
※Due to filming constraints, some trains will run on tracks different from the actual route.
Vehicle Introduction
The E231 Series debuted in 2003 as the standard model following the 209 Series and E217 Series. Featuring a completely redesigned control system through extensive adoption of information technology, it unified the basic specifications for commuter and Suburban Types while employing a wider body to alleviate crowding. The introduction of the Train Information Management System (TIMS) significantly reduced wiring, optimized air conditioning through fully automatic control, and automated pre-departure inspections, resulting in a maintenance-free system.
The E231 Series(Suburban Type) was designed for medium-distance trains and is a Suburban-Type train with semi-cross seating and toilets installed in multiple locations throughout the train. It was introduced sequentially on various lines, such as the Utsunomiya Line, Takasaki Line, and Tōkaidō Line, replacing the 113, 115, and 211 Series trains that had been in operation since the Japanese National Railways era. Initially, no Green Cars were attached, but with the start of Green Car service on the Utsunomiya Line, Takasaki Line, and Shōnan-Shinjuku Line in 2004, two double-decker Green Cars were attached.
In 2015, the Ueno-Tōkyō Line also opened, and the trains now operate over a wide area, including Utsunomiya, Maebashi, Ito, and Numazu. Depending on the train, you may also see 15-car formations coupled with E233 Series trains.
It has been over 20 years since the E231 Series(Suburban Type) debuted, and the equipment in the cars is being updated, but the cars that have not been updated are popular with fans because they make a unique motor sound when accelerating.
This DLC recreates the unmodified E231 Series(Suburban Type) trains belonging to Oyama Rolling Stock Center. Please enjoy operating the E231 Series with its distinctive motor sounds.

About the Route
The Yokohama Line is a 42.6 km railway connecting Higashi-Kanagawa Station in Yokohama and Hachiōji Station in Tōkyō.It began operation on September 23, 1908, by the Yokohama Railway.Company, originally for transporting raw silk.
In addition to trains between Higashi-Kanagawa and Hachiōji, some services run directly to Sakuragichō and Ōfuna via the Keihin-Tōhoku/Negishi Line. Rapid services operate between Higashi-Kanagawa and Sagamihara from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM to improve convenience.
All trains use 8-car E233-6000 series formations, featuring the line's distinctive yellow-green and green stripes and“YOKOHAMA LINE”logo. They are equipped with ATS-P (Yokohama Line) and digital ATC (Negishi Line), requiring drivers to handle different operating procedures. Frequent gradients and speed changes demand skilled notch control.
Trains from Ōfuna travel via Ishikawachō (near Chinatown) and Yokohama Station (Kanagawa's largest), heading to Higashi-Kanagawa. From there, they pass Kikuna (Tōkyū Tōyoko Line), Shin-Yokohama (Tōkaidō Shinkansen, Tōkyū Shin-yokohama Line, Sotetsu Shin-yokohama Line, Yokohama Municipal Subway BLUE LINE), and residential areas in Midori Ward. After connecting with the Yokohama Municipal Subway GREEN LINE at Nakayama Station and the Tōkyū Den-en-toshi Line/Kodomonokuni Line at Nagatsuta Station, Naruse Station enters Tōkyō. It connects with Odakyū Odawara Line at Machida, Keiō Sagamihara Line and Sagami Line at Hashimoto, and Chūō and Hachikō Lines at Hachiōji.
