About the Game
Choose your country and manage their army, air force and navy around the world. Research, produce, buy and sell military equipment to optimize your armed forces and generate extra revenue. Each land unit is a battalion, each aircraft a squadron. Assemble battlegroups of combined force abilities to counter enemy tactics. Deploy your naval battlegroups as fleets to protect your maritime borders from naval landings by enemy nations. Load your units with far reaching missiles, either conventional or nuclear, to strike at the enemy from afar.
Country management also requires managing relationships. Allies or enemies can be found next door or half way around the world. Sign treaties, trade commodities and share research to rise in power. Use covert operations to gain an intelligence edge or slow the progress of other nations through sabotage. But keep some of your spies in reserve, you might need to send them on counter-intel missions to cover your own assets.
Manage all aspects of your country, right down to financial and supply chain needs. Tanks cost money and people expect to be fed. You'll need a steady hand and good judgement to manage all the competing needs of your nation. Fail to anticipate the needs of your population and you could see your political opponents remove you from power or large chunks of your country simply declare independence. Hope you kept some tanks in reserve!

Official update history
On the site: Build 21347933
Up to date
This update is small, but has a new feature that compliments Project 2025 very well - there is now a button accessible from the minimap screen to turn on a Political Leaders map mode. When active, hold over any region on the map for extra data about their head of government. We've added a screenshot to the store page for both SR2030 and for SR2025 if you'd like to see how it looks.

We also have a few more fixes and some engine changes for the upcoming Supreme Ruler Global Outbreak DLC which is getting close to the testing phase that will lead up to release.
Here is the full list of changes
- New feature - political map mode
- Engine changes for infection system (SRGO)
- Engine changes for zombie spawn rate from kills (SRGO)
- Fixed Theater value for Easter Europe
- Fixed RSF continent assignment
- Minor updates to flags, 3D models
Over the last few months, much of our effort has been focused on the engine work required for the zombie and infection mechanics that will go into Supreme Ruler Global Outbreak, but we've also gotten many engine and content fixes done as well.
The most significant fix in this update was a focus on aircraft movement, banking and travel range calculations. We believe we've now resolved the majority of the engine issues that could cause aircraft to crash.
For modders, you can now assign land units to regions without any barracks and the engine will scatter units based on population in the region (larger cities first). We're not entirely sure how useful that will be, but some of the mods have been trying some very innovative ideas, so we wanted to make that possible. Air/Sea already look for the nearest airfield/pier if there was no reserve facility for them.

Here is the full list of changes
- Adjustments to aircraft turning radius / speed / return to base code, resolves most aircraft crashing issues.
- Ongoing engine work for zombies and other infections
- Fixed 24h/48h-delay on response to air/sea transport commands
- Fixed bug in purchase units from markets code, could cause strat pool effects
- Fixed iconography for unit orders buttons UNI1_LB1
- Fixed ‘units in battlezone’ count code error
- Fix for random ages of leaders if no age or birthdate provided
- Internal fix for submarine missile platforms
- Fixed issues with game start gamespeed / messaging (time 0 messages)
- Changed diplomacy rejection of treaties when showing green for acceptable
- Significant updates and fixes to events code
- - Fixed Event 46 Victory / Loss to handle losses correctly
- - Event 45 condition 27 fixed for newly loaded savegames
- - Events 60/61 only send emails if the events become true
- - Implemented condition test 101
- - added ‘inregionunits’ to track regions where units are deployed (ie proxy/ally etc)
- Adjusted dispersion code to account for city size
- Refactored ‘regioncolor’ code; colony showing parent colour now reverts
- Fixes to South Africa CVP influence values
- Containers (incl urban cities) are now considered non-resv land ‘ports’, for disbursing units etc during cache creation
- Forcing screen refresh when guislide / email popup is called (paused case)
- Loading savegames is back to starting paused unless setup speedlocked is on
This update represents incremental improvements to the game engine and content while work continues on SR Global Outbreak. Leader events also needed updates since some of our previous guessing can now be replaced with actual election outcomes. Leaders in 2025 and 2026 still represent possibilities or random leaders, we hope to keep updating those as time moves on. 2030 leaders are pure fiction or fun "what if" moments.

We realize that it's only been a few days since the last public update, but the community was quick to find some flaws in the new sanctions system, and we accidentally broke some of the tech tree in the last update, so adjusted our focus to get a new update ready as quickly as we could.
With version 1278, we've solved all the bugs that have been identified in the sanctions system. There may still be other issues, so please let us know if you see flaws in the system.
Below you'll find the full changelog for version 1278. It's a short list since it's been less than a week since the last update.
If you missed the annoucement about sancations, you can hear about it in this video.

Version 12.1.1268
Mar 1, 2024
For those who haven't been playing the Fasttrack beta versions of Supreme Ruler 2030, we just wanted to share details of a feature that's in development - Sanctions have been added to the game.
In version 12.1.1268 and later, regions can enact trade sanctions on other regions. Sanctions can only be applied to the entire set of products, you cannot sanction single commodities. This simulates cutting off economic ties with a region, and will stop them from requesting diplomatic trades with your region as well as applying a markup to their purchase cost and reduce their selling price, relative to the percentage of world production that region produces.
Sanctions must be enabled in the scenario settings or in the settings popup in game
Relationship Changes
Imposing sanctions on a region will negatively affect the relationships with that region, similar to Support Opposition found in some alert messages. When your allies sanction a region that you have not sanctioned, relationships between you and your ally will degrade over time, until you join the sanction. AI allies will weigh the relationships and choose which side to join, favoring their allies.
World Market Sanctions
Once a certain percentage of world market member regions have sanctioned a region, they will be unable to auto import / export from the world market. Regions are more likely to sanction others on harder difficulties.
Market Tariffs
Once a region has been sanctioned, the market price for commodities will be affected by the amount of total world supply they are cut off from. If 100% of a commodities producers have sanctioned a region, they pay the maximum tariff, currently defaulted to 100%, meaning they will have a 200% market cost when buying and a 50% price when selling.
The ongoing design notes of this feature will be posted on our SupremeWiki site;
https://supremeruler.fandom.com/wiki/Sanctions#Sanctions
We're looking for feedback on this system, so if anyone is playing the fasttrack builds, please let us know what you think! If you like the feature, please take a few minutes to leave a review for the game and tell others what you thing of it.

Based on initial feedback from SR Great War Remastered players, we've found (and fixed) a few different issues in the data files. These mostly affect the 1914 content, but they share data files so the updates apply to all versions. These were previously on Fasttrack and have now moved to public.
