About the Game
Authentic 2D action
Never Grave is 2D action game where you journey with the aid of a cursed hat. Identify enemy attacks, fight with magic, and sometimes use the terrain to win! Dungeons such as ruins and botanical gardens are auto-generated and change each time you play. Furthermore, there are obstacles and puzzles waiting to block the player's path in the dungeons.
Possession system
Possess enemies using a cursed hat. Use unique abilities from your possessed enemies to open up avenues of action and gain an advantage in battle!
Rebuild a ruined village
Use materials collected in the dungeons to clear the rubble of ruined villages, build new facilities and cultivate crops in the fields. Prepare for your next battles at your village! Cook food and take advantage of skill trees to grow more powerful!
Multiplayer
Multiplayer support for up to four players. Call your friends from other worlds and conquer dungeons together!

Metroidvania x Roguelite with an emphasis on exploration.
Sophisticated and tactilely designed player character controls.
Possession system where hats can possess enemies and use their unique abilities.
Traditional Japanese hand-drawn limited animation is used for character 2D animation.

- Resolved a bug in the settings menu where selecting an unrelated option resulted in unintentional changes to the difficulty setting.
- Corrected a bug that caused the character to crouch in mid-air after performing an aerial attack.

- Significantly improved rendering performance. As a side effect, audio distortion issues should also see improvement.
- Adjusted the player's and possessed dog's moving attacks to prevent them from passing through enemies, reducing the chance of receiving undue contact damage.
- Allowed the possessed dog to pass through one-block passages.
- Fixed a bug where the button input icons were not displayed correctly when the language setting was set to "English."
- Adjusted the players's normal combo attack so that damage increases with each strike. Specifically, decreased the attack power of the first strike, increased the power of the second strike, and significantly increased the power of the third strike.
- Fixed an issue with the axe monster's attack detection and super armor detection having too long durations.
- Addressed several minor bugs.

- Set the movement distance of the Neutral combo regular attack to 0.
- Made the hitstop for regular attacks more lenient.
- The hitstop during regular attacks now also affects other enemy characters, not just the player.
- Corrected an issue where Ice Circle wouldn't disappear when hitting objects like pots.
- Fixed a bug where breaking walls in a room with a second layer of water would still show the wall graphics.
- Fixed a bug where you could drop the witch's body in the witch's cauldron.
- Even if the witch's body is not present, made it so that summoning it from hat form is possible.
(We expect this will allow to summon the witch even when loading from data which was saved in hat form.)
