Major Improvements
- Major performance optimizations: all areas now load when you first spawn in. This removes mid-game stuttering from level streaming and results in more consistent frame rates throughout the match.
- More realistic ragdoll physics for improved character reactions and immersion.
- New gore system: explosions can now dismember limbs with visible bone detail.
Gameplay & Mechanics
- Snowcats can now run over and kill players or enemies at high speed.
- Helicopter blades are now lethal on contact.
- Improved helicopter damage detection for more reliable interactions.
- New drowning system: players now gradually sink when drowning.
- Random gamemode option added: matches can now automatically select between Imposter Mode and Default Mode.
World & Visual Updates
- Gas station model has been fully remade.
- Emergency lighting updated to use distance field shadows for better performance.
- New idle animation added.

- Hand scanners introduced, replacing the previous keypad system.
- Minor networking improvements for smoother multiplayer performance.
- Match player list issues fixed.

- Fixed an issue where water was incorrectly dealing fire damage.

Settings Changes
Default graphics settings have been adjusted from Very High to High for better performance on most systems.

Patch Notes V6.2:
Match start up logic moved to authority only (Should fix clients crashing when loading into a match or rare crash occurring when start with radios are selected, as well as improving overall networking and desync)
Snowmobile Physics Overhaul (Snowmobiles now have more realistic collision, handle better, and have improved steering)
Camera lock bug fixed (This occurred if for example you were attacked while playing an animation and then did not die your camera would become locked in place)
Imposter mode can be played with two players now (This is fun if you are playing with a friend and do not tell them you are playing imposter mode)
Player can move if being assimilated while doing keypad fixed

- Exiting vehicles on a slope caused camera to become stuck in a tilted position fixed

We are starting development of the traitor mode so I apologize if there is a bit of silence between updates. Will get a trailer out with a release date as soon as possible! The traitor mode update will also introduce a few new items into the game as well.

Sorry all for the radio silence given it was Christmas and New Years. During the time off I reevaluated which direction I want to take Nuclear Nightmare in and this year I want to put more of a focus on gameplay such as infection systems, new enemies, traitor mode, etc. So the new map will be taking a backseat until I feel happy with gameplay improvements.

- Players now drop full inventory on death
- Players can now reinforce spectators that joined the game after the match has already started (This system prioritizes players already in the match so in order to reinforce players that joined late, all original players will have to be reinforced)
Fixes/Improvements:
- Snow on gas stations + gas station model optimizations
- when dropping items the game will select the one that will take the old slot
- improved unequip for glowsticks and flashlights (Fixes an issue where you hold two items at the same time)
- Snowmobile snow kick up particle effect overlapping over fog fixed

- Gas canister explosion stack overflow crash fixed (This crash occurs when a gas canister blows up from another object blowing up, you may have experienced this crash even if a laser went off next to a gas canister item)
- Level streaming values optimized/Crash fixes (Tweaked streaming values to be more optimized for lower-end pcs, i.e. before we tried to load areas very fast by dedicating a high amount of ms per frame at a close range to the POI, Now we load the area from a far distance with low ms per frame with the trade off of a longer load time. However this shouldn't be an issue as areas are loaded further)
- Examine tasks now finish earlier (A lot of players were confused and thought they finished the task when they really didn't, so I made it finish slightly early to mitigate this)
- Drones preparation task counted as classified fixed
- Session error messages updated to be more readable to your average player (i.e. session was made on different version than your application)
- Enemies falling/jumping into/from the sky bug fixed
- Optimizations to generator lights & emergency lights
- Diver skin physics & animation issues fixed
- Diver mask overlapping on snowmobiles fixed
- Rebuilt geometry & texture streams (Should help mitigate potential crashes)
- Global voice chat volume was being affected by master volume now is only controlled by it's own sound mix

I have read a lot of comments about losing hours of grind time for skins. This isn’t necessarily the case because when you first load up the game it should refund you the points for all the old skins you bought in the past, sorry all I forgot to put this in the original update notes for The Remaster update.
We plan on adding/remaking all of the skins that existed in the past but it is a lengthy process of remodeling them from scratch. The plan is to keep adding in the new skins as we create them so you won’t have to wait for a major update.
- Item Capacity UI rework (Made more visible and stylized)
- Apex stun time fixed (sorry all, guess I turned the stun time down to 5 seconds and that accidently made it to a packaged build, now is back to normal)
- Slug queen health scales on difficulty (Normal difficulty will make the Slug Queen feel closer to a regular enemy)
- Optimized enemy spawn code and enemies can now continue to spawn when one is wounded (previously would only spawn new enemies when all were dead)
- Mimics now cannot spawn in solo (Now allows you to play solo full stealth since mimics wouldn't mimic anyone in solo and just instantly know some ones location)
- New generator power down sound
- Infection testing sound removed
- Watcher enemy stun locking fixed
- A potential performance improvement related to animation IK solvers
- Dynamic voice chat UI that shows how loud you are as you talk into the microphone
- EQ and compressor added to voice chat, overall quality improved + input gain rework, stopping it from sounding completely blown out at high values
- Players attacked while doing generator or laser wouldn't play attack animation fixed
- Worm spawn stutter fixed
- Doors when broken down at slaughter would rotate on the wrong axis fixed
- Infection times scale based on difficulty with nightmare being almost instant, hard 30 seconds, and easy changed to 260 seconds. Also remember these are minimum times that a infection can take over, so the chance of turning instantly is still quite rare on Nightmare.
- Global voice chat volume affects 2d volume as well
- Lobby screen UI location name moved to the aircraft touchdown bar
- Improved audio in the forest map
- Hud rework, temperature gauge merged with health icon + reworks to sight UI, and all item slots and icons
- Decal buffer removal (decals are now rendered in the main base pass) (more performance)
- GBuffer format changed to 8 bit (Slight performance improvement on high end gpus, but should be major performance boost on low end gpus)
- Notification UI completely reworked
- End game screen UI changed to merged replay menu with the classified menu + Russian translation now correctly fits on the end game screen
- New generator model and animations for working on the generator
- If first person animations are turned off it now make all actions go in third person
- Removed tentacles on infection player (May have been causing a large frame drop on low end specs when a player turned infected)
Note: We are looking into adding a graphical option to bring back tentacles for the users with high specs
- Particle system resolution brought down (This one is a definite performance booster)
- Enemies no longer stuck on gens + better navigation to generators (Additionally enemies already in route to a generator that gets powered off will dynamically reroute themselves to go back to stalking rather than following the path all the way to the generator)
- Remastered or polished many sounds (includes match start sounds, classified collection sounds, satellite turned on sound, and more)
- Helicopter deaths now cause all players inside to ragdoll to the ground
- A few lasers were bugged on low island fixed
- UI win screen duplicating/overlapping on client fixed
