Dear Explorers,
We sincerely apologize for the loading failures, error reports, and‑crashes‑to‑desktop issues that some of you have recently encountered while playing PixARK: Terracrypt.
Upon discovering these issues, we launched an immediate investigation. Optimizations have been deployed for several confirmed bugs, and an upcoming client update will further mitigate these problems. Nevertheless, a subset of issues remains under investigation. We will keep monitoring in‑game performance, do our utmost to reduce the frequency of these errors, and continue working toward full fixes.
Below is an update on known issues and our repair progress:
I. Known Issues
Issue 1: Loading anomalies, errors or crashes when entering Terracrypt Some adventurers may occasionally experience loading failures, pop‑up errors, or crashes when launching the game or loading Terracrypt content, preventing you from entering gameplay normally.
Issue 2: Errors or crashes while taming creatures in specific language versions Players using Russian, Korean, Japanese and Turkish language settings may encounter errors or crashes during passive creature taming.
II. Current Progress
We have investigated and optimized a number of related anomalies, and further improvements will be delivered via a client update. This update addresses confirmed bugs to lower the occurrence rate of these issues and reduce disruptions to your gameplay experience.
Please note that some anomalies still require deeper testing and troubleshooting. If you continue to run into these problems after installing the latest client update, kindly submit feedback through our official channels.
We will closely monitor the stability of Terracrypt, keep resolving existing bugs, and push forward with optimizations to achieve a permanent fix.
Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience these issues have caused. Thank you for your understanding and patience while we work on improvements. We will keep striving to deliver a more stable and smooth adventure experience for all players.
Hello Explorers,
We have noticed an issue with the main quest "A Deadly Threat" in PixARK: Terracrypt. To minimize any impact on your adventure, we would like to share the details of the issue, our suggested workaround, and the fix schedule as follows:
Issue Details
When the main quest progresses to the "A Deadly Threat" stage, the NPC Zora at the quest objective location may fail to spawn properly, which can prevent the quest from being submitted.
[img src="{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/31873084/5382f43f566062cf5ca15f231653a02daf56712e.png"]
This issue only affects the submission of the "A Deadly Threat" quest. It will not damage your save data, nor will it block the overall game progression.
· For Explorers who have not yet reached this quest: you can continue playing normally, and this issue will not affect you.
· For Explorers who have already encountered this issue: please temporarily skip this quest. You can freely enjoy all other content like taming creatures, developing technology, building bases, and exploring the underground world without any impact. Once the issue is fixed, you can return and complete the quest as usual.
Fix Schedule
We have identified the issue and plan to perform server maintenance to update both the server and client at the following time:
PDT: Aug 27, 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
EDT: Aug 27, 10:00 PM – 11:00 PM
UTC: Aug 28, 2:00 AM – 3:00 AM
Beijing Time: Aug 28, 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM
After the update, Explorers will be able to complete the "A Deadly Threat" quest normally.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this issue has caused to some Explorers. We will continue to collect player feedback and keep refining the game to deliver a better adventure experience for everyone. Thank you for your understanding, support, and patience!
The new-server launch support events—including Treasure Dodos and Lucky Bag Beacons—will conclude with the update scheduled for:
11:00 p.m. PDT on August 25
2:00 a.m. EDT on August 26, 2026.
6:00 a.m. UTC on August 26, 2026.
2:00 p.m. Beijing Time (UTC+8) on August 26, 2026.
We hope the resources you earned during these events will help you begin an even greater adventure across the vast world of PixARK!
At the same time, now that the official server transition is complete, all legacy official servers were retired at:
7:00 p.m. PDT / 10:00 p.m. EDT on August 23
2:00 a.m. UTC / 10:00 a.m. Beijing Time (UTC+8) on August 24, 2026.
To help you preserve the worlds you built and the memories you made, save files from those retired servers are now available for download beginning August 25 (Beijing Time, UTC+8).
The download service will remain available for one month, until September 24, 2026 (Beijing Time). Please plan accordingly and download your server save before the service closes.
1. Save File Information
Two snapshots are available. Choose the version that best suits your needs:
● August 3 Snapshot: Taken one day before the new servers opened on August 4, preserving the world as it appeared before the transition.
● August 24 Final Snapshot: Taken on the legacy servers' final day of operation, preserving their world state at shutdown.
Important: Some Explorers completed their item transfers and dismantled structures before the shutdown. As a result, some buildings may already be missing from the August 24 snapshot. Choose the August 3 snapshot for a more complete record of your original base.
The downloads cover 104 legacy official servers, packaged into 47 archive files. Follow the instructions below to find the archive containing your server save.
2. How to Find Your Server Save
1. Open the PixARK Server Save Download Center: https://pixarkdl.woniu.com/
2. Select the snapshot you want (August 3 or August 24).
3. Find your server in the table by its server name.
4. Download the corresponding archive file.
Note: A single archive may contain save data for multiple servers hosted on the same physical machine. Verify the server name before downloading to avoid selecting the wrong archive.
[img src="{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/31873084/091ec2b0f67ecccd0fc11431dca138b423f0f258.png"]
3. How to Import a Server Save into Single-Player
IMPORTANT: Before importing any server save, back up your current local save data. Otherwise, these steps may overwrite an existing single-player save.
1. Identify the Map Used by Your Save
The available downloads contain saves for two maps, each of which uses a different game directory. A save placed in the wrong directory will not be recognized.
[table equalcells="1" colwidth=",,226"]Save Type
Corresponding Map
[td colwidth="226"]Save Directory
PixARK Map Save (CubeWorld)
PixARK Map
[td colwidth="226"]...\\CubeSingles\\CubeWorld_Light
Skyward Map Save (Skypiea)
Skyward Map
[td colwidth="226"]...\\CubeSingles\\Skypiea_Light
The instructions below use the PixARK Map directory, CubeWorld_Light, as the example. For a Skyward Map save, replace CubeWorld_Light with Skypiea_Light; all other steps are the same.
2. Download and Extract the Server Save
[img src="{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/31873084/66fe0622d08b9e4047eca1614ae9c572617d3b69.png"]
Download the correct archive and extract it. The archive will contain two folders. If the folder you need ends with the Chinese suffix -副本 (meaning “copy”), remove the suffix and rename the folder using only its numeric ID (for example, 71310173-副本 → 71310173). Otherwise, the game may not recognize it.
3. Prepare the Single-Player Save Directory
Case A: You have never created a single-player character on this map
● Launch PixARK → Single Player → select the corresponding map (PixARK Map or Skyward Map) → create a character → exit the game.
● The game will automatically create the map’s save directory (CubeWorld_Light or Skypiea_Light).
● Then proceed to the next step.
Case B: You have previously played this map in single-player
● The save directory already exists. Proceed to the next step.
4. Place the Server Save Folder
Copy the numeric folder you renamed above (for example, 71310173) into the CubeWorld_Light directory described above.
[img src="{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/31873084/3123ca0e728bff7b02cbc6056d641e1000216320.png"]
Open the folder and check whether it contains a Local subfolder:
● If Local already exists, use it.
● If Local does not exist, create a new folder named Local.
[img src="{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/31873084/00ffd533c6f42b78283e9523e5b6cc4be13b871b.png"]
Move the Map and Tribe folders into Local.
If Local already contains folders named Map and/or Tribe (meaning that another save was imported previously), back them up before overwriting them to avoid losing existing data.
[img src="{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/31873084/025e0f6ea845209f0e8356f12765bc49ed3f4902.png"]
5. Register the Map (MapSaves.ini)
● Locate the MapSaves.ini configuration file in the CubeWorld_Light (or Skypiea_Light) directory.
● If the file does not exist, create a text file named MapSaves.txt, add the required entry, and then change the extension to .ini. If you cannot rename the extension, open File Explorer and select View → Show/Hide → File name extensions, then rename the file.
● Add a new line in the following format: numeric save-folder name=single-player map name
Example: 71310173=ServerSaveTestMap
[img src="{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/31873084/99428e434a411377e503c0dd072f2d83c345db82.png"]
Left of the equals sign: the numeric name of the folder you imported (for example, 71310173).
Right of the equals sign: the map name you want to see in the game. English letters or numbers are recommended (for example, ServerSaveTestMap).
● Save the file.
6. Launch the Game
Open PixARK → Single Player → Normal or Creative Mode → select the map name you added → enter the world.
[img src="{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/31873084/7b687a8a3f857d6f6c155f4f02ea786ac95dc9d2.png"]
7. Load Bases and Access Tribe Structures
● Bases may not load immediately. You must approach the area once to trigger them to load. If you do not see your base after entering the world, teleport to your character’s location on the original server and respawn there to load the base.
● Press Tab or the backtick key (`) to open the command console. The following commands may be useful:
Command Reference
ForcePlayerToJoinTargetTribe 0 — Join the tribe associated with the structure under your crosshair. Aim at a functional structure such as a door, window, or workbench to gain access to all structures owned by that tribe.
Cheat enablespectator — Enter Spectator Mode and fly freely above the map.
Stopspectating — Exit Spectator Mode and allow your character to respawn.
Cheat ghost — Enable ghost/flying mode.
Setcheatplayer true — Display the XYZ coordinates of your current location.
Cheat setplayerpos x y z — Teleport to the specified coordinates.
Dear Explorers,
We have been closely following community feedback on game modes and the official server experience. Recently, many Explorers have asked about PvP, while others have been eager to learn more about the official server rollout planned for Terracrypt.
After careful consideration and long-term planning, we would like to share the launch server setup and rollout schedule ahead of Terracrypt's release, so everyone can clearly understand the available content and server modes before purchasing the expansion.
Here are the details:
1. Game Pre-Download Update
To ensure every Explorer can experience Terracrypt smoothly the moment it officially goes live, we will begin rolling out the PixARK: Terracrypt pre-download update on August 25 at 11:00 PM (PDT).
Once the update is complete, your game will be updated to include the Terracrypt expansion. Log in to check out the brand-new DLC interface!
Note: The pre-download update only pre-loads the game client files, the Terracrypt DLC will become available for purchase at 6:00 PM (PDT) on August 26. Explorers by time will be able to purchase the DLC and begin their adventure in the brand-new underground world!
2. PvP at Launch
Official PvP servers will not be available when Terracrypt launches.
Terracrypt is PixARK's first major expansion centered on an underground world. At launch, we want every Explorer to experience a complete and immersive journey beneath the surface. For this reason, our official server operations will initially focus on PvE and exploration, and official PvP servers will not be opened during the launch period.
Some official servers have already undergone related configuration changes, and we recognize the range of responses this has prompted within the community. We are sharing this decision before release so that every Explorer can clearly understand the available server modes and make an informed choice.
We will continue listening closely to community feedback. Should there be strong demand for official PvP servers, we will carefully evaluate the possibility of introducing them in the future.
3. Launch-Day Official Server Rollout
At Terracrypt's launch, we will bring new official servers online in stages across Asia, North America, Europe, and Australia. The rollout will include the PixARK Map, the Skyward Map, and the new Terracrypt DLC Map.
To account for different peak playtimes across regions, the servers will open in four waves according to the schedule below.

4. Server Selection and Cross-Server Transfers
Each official server opened as part of this rollout will operate independently. To support stable operations during the launch period, cross-server transfers will not be available at launch. This includes transfers between the PixARK Map, Skyward Map, and Terracrypt DLC Map; between newly opened servers; and between the new servers and the first batch of servers opened on August 4.
To enter an official server running the Terracrypt DLC Map, you must own the Terracrypt DLC.
We will announce the exact timing for cross-server transfers once server operations have stabilized. Please watch our official channels for further updates.
Terracrypt is almost here. We hope to provide a smoother, more stable server experience as we set out on our next adventure beneath the surface. Thank you to every Explorer who has supported PixARK along the way. We look forward to seeing you again in the new world below!
