Up to date
I've just added the 33 new achievements that will launch with the Map 3 content update, launching January 15th.
Additional achievements will come at a later point when extra Map 3 game modes get patched in.
I want to make sure all of those achievements work fine and can be unlocked at launch. Therefore it was necessary to add them to the Pogostuck Steam backend. As a result, sadly all players lose the 100% achievement completion rate for Pogostuck and will not be able to regain it for the next 14 days.
Sorry, and thank you for understanding.

I've just pushed a new update live for Pogostuck. It does not include new content but has been in the works for ages still.
It uses a new system to establish P2P connections from lobbies. Dead lobbies where you cannot establish connections to most if not all other players (indicated by an X in the live ranking) should be a thing of the past now.
Now that the lobby owner does not dictate the player list anymore it was necessary to rewrite the rubber band syncing code. Should you experience issues with this or stumble upon another major bug please let me know!
Please note that the new version is incompatible with the old version, so players on different versions might not see each other and rubber bands may break or not function at all. When trying to play with friends please make sure you are all running the new version (you can check the version in the Misc Options menu).
Apart from this rewrite the update includes some bug fixes, internal work to prepare for Map 3 as well as a new button in the Multiplayer (Friends) menu to join a different lobby.

To celebrate both map 1 and map 2 now feature some more or less subtle birthday decoration for one week. Let's have a look at what else has changed in the most recent and the previous two patches:
The Sleepy Hat had been temporarily replaced with a red Santa Hat over the festive season. As some people enjoyed differently colored hats I've implemented an item color system, allowing players to choose their own hat colors. This only works for the Sleepy Hat for now but might be expanded to other items in the future. Additionally, you can now set the background color in the video options menu if you prefer to play with background rendering switched off:
{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/34023786/38b8cb8ba7b0fefb5c8999001feaf1960e0e4a52.png
The replay interface (which can be found by selecting a replay from the leaderboard while playing map 1 or map 2) has been reworked and improved. It now features the ability to easily toggle between multiple replays and to even manipulate them in sync:
{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/34023786/46d8209e0c4a63456e2b5f8487749901a509529d.png
The matchmaking usually only looks for lobbies halfway around the globe. In some scenarios this could lead to players from certain regions to only be able to play with a handful of other players unless they manually joined lobbies. To combat this a so called Lobby distance filter (to be found in the in-game Friends menu) has been introduced where players can choose between standard and now world-wide searches. The downside of being matched with players from all around the globe is potentially fluctuating ping or even packet loss, leading to other players seemingly teleporting around the map.
For multiple weeks before the release of map 2 I was trying to add an object or a mechanic at 650m+ and onward that prevented many of the deep falls (in particular those from 800m down to 550m or 450m even). The issue was that all of those conflicted with the general gameplay and intended route going up in that section. At launch a big but invisible jellyfish from the loot mode was in the map still, stemming from my last attempt of trying to prevent said falls.
With patch 20 I finally added a helping wind similar to that in map 1 next to the moais:
{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/34023786/e10b157e736667c26fd68ce4f0f1374950ca55f9.png
This wind slightly guides you onto the pillar below falling down, possibly allowing for a recovery jump. It's very well possible still to fall in the gap between. Please note from my previous paragraph that this has always been the intended design of that area, I just didn't know how to implement it gracefully.
Also, the movement of the ladybugs in the early slopes area of map 2 has been adjusted so they no longer block the view on the player and the pogo stick. This was unwanted behavior because of its random nature, in stark contrast to the static clover leaves in the same area that might block your view as well.
The updates furthermore include general bug fixes, including a mean bug where one or two bytes behind long menu text strings could be overwritten in some cases. This might have randomly led to erroneous behavior and crashes in the past, so general stability should be improved now.
A more robust save system has been introduced that prevents the rare loss of progress or a false change in game modes when the mode framework is changed internally.
Thank you for reading, have fun and see you at the top!

I have found and fixed a rather severe memory leak in my sound engine where some memory was not being freed after it had been streamed in. Apart from some files such as the ambient loops in Loot With Your Friends this mainly affected music tracks.
The game then would crash for anyone with in-game music on just playing long enough (depending on how often music played) and the game window would just either close silently/ immediately or a DirectX error message would appear.
This bug has been in the game ever since and probably caused hundreds and thousands of crashes for all kinds of players. Sorry for not finding it sooner!
It has been fixed in the recent version v2 - Patch 12.
The patch includes some other minor changes, mostly in preparation for the next update called Skate With Your Friends, coming very soon:

Patch 22 includes a new feature which is rubber band co-op:

Open the friends menu and "Start rubber band pairing". A rubber band will spawn between you and any other nearby player who's in rubber band pairing mode as well.
If you manage to beat the game from start to finish in one sitting while being tethered to at least one other player you will unlock sunglasses (hat category) and a bathing summer outfit:

Players on patch 22 and onward will be put in different lobbies than those running 21 and prior.
Thank you Bobandal for the idea and extensive beta testing!

Dear pogo friends!
Thank you everyone for playing, you are doing great!
Since launch there have been quite a few patches, most of them being bug fixes or quality of life improvements.
The only changes to the level have been and will be the two safety vines added to the grapes section at 20%+ (btw the grapes are in fact apples).
I intended people to struggle, possibly for hours, yet I wanted them to progress and succeed as well. Most people quit the game there, some of them trying for 12 hours or more to get past the grapes.
Is is a very difficult game still (as intended) but the difficulty spiked too quickly at that point in the game.
Apart from that the Tick Tock achievement (which no one had gotten yet) has been replaced with the Goldfinger achievement. Achievements are tricky to get on purpose, Tick Tock went way overboard with difficulty though and as the grapes section changed I found it appropriate to replace it.
Now you have to turn all (70) objects in the level into gold. In case you're missing a single object look around in the last 1/3rd section of the game, one of the objects is not as obvious as the others!
When you do try and get the achievement make sure you're playing on Patch 13 and up (Options -> Miscellaneous -> Version).
⛰️ Have fun and see you at the summit! ⛰️
